That's because your argument is so full of crap, it's almost impossible to for me to utterly break down your argument without the inevitable ad nauseum response, almost like a parrot. Just for kicks though, I'll answer the last question you gave Camaro.
"If both parties have their problems, why do we keep voting for them instead of pursuing the alternative?"
Rather simple, the alternative parties are at best are well-meaning but have highly impractical policies at best, and at worst they're no different than Democrats/Republicans, the only difference is that the support for most of these parties come from ignorant ultra-liberal college students, art house hipsters/hippies (The liberal version of trailer trash) and conspiracy nuts who believe in the Illuminati are going to control the world. By comparison, most Democrats/Republicans are generally moderate in their positions, and tend to get the most support from the average Joe.
The real issue isn't with the democrat/republican names in itself, the problem lies with the fact that they have become more and more polarizing and would rather cock-block each other than get anything done without a fight. Just imagine a third party president getting in, his presidency will most likely be total hell with dealing with the moderates and those on the opposite side of the spectrum.
I'm all for gay marriage, but I also have no problem with individual churches having their own policy on whether they want to marry gay folks or not. Churches don't operate under the same guidelines that the states do, and it's not like they operate as a for-profit institution (at least officially) so they don't necessarily have to bend over for anyone.
I'm not condoning or endorsing that behavior, but the little thing called the First Amendment comes into play, and as a stickler for the Constitution, you have to allow them to do what they want under the grounds of the FA. This is probably one of the reasons why gay marriage isn't legal everywhere, ironically enough.
Any amount of validity that the OP has in his points essentially went down the drain when he started to go into a random tangent that I would expect from leanlifter or some other troll. The fact that you use words like "open your eyes" and "indentured servitude" means that you have to rely of exaggeration and ignorance to push your argument.

I'm hoping this means that AJ Green will be getting a nice contract soon. As easy as it would be to hate on the Bengals for doing this, the man has taken us to three straight playoffs...but shit the bed in every playoff game. I dunno.
It was inevitable that he would get a huge contract, and considering that it's mostly front-loaded, the other key players will get their money as well very soon. The 0-3 record in the playoffs is unnerving, but at least in the regular season, he's been very productive, has some quality wins under his belt, and the team is simply too good (albeit not as deep) not to succeed.
Equal or even lesser QBs compared to Dalton have won playoff games (Denver Broncos under Tebow, Seattle in the 2010 playoffs) and even won the Super Bowl (last year's Seahawks as an example) in recent memory, so basically from this point forward, there is no excuse for either the Bengals or Dalton not to advance deep in the playoffs, considering how putrid the AFC is beyond Denver and New England.

Did you actually listen to anything I wrote? I never said that you shouldn't follow your dreams, I simply stayed that you need to know what you are doing before you do anything. Too many times, idiots who have eyes bigger than their stomach and no plans for their future pretty much fall by the wayside because of what I just said.
Ambition without direction is reckless, and that is how stupid people end up losing it all. Ambition by itself is good, but if you have no understanding of what's ahead or don't realize the risks involved, then you're setting yourself up for a huge failure.

But the majority of the time, soccer player pass the ball by kicking it around, which means that "kickball" isn't entirely off base. Most people just call it football because that was the name that they came up with and didn't bother to change it to soccer. Oddly enough, the term soccer was invented by a British person as a way to get Americans into the game, which they didn't until recently, and even that's debatable.
Those people are crazy; yes. At least with hand egg fans they just yell at the TV and make fools of themselves, and don't set buses on fire or other crazy shit.
American football fans have done a lot of violent stuff, such as riots and couch burning, and groups like Raider Nation and Eagles fans can be pretty rough, but even then, they pale in comparison to certain soccer firms in Europe and Brazil.

O.o I like how you got out of it was only the WMD. It was not the point at all, it flew over your head... quite literally.
Unless you're trying to change the goalposts in your argument, I believe I've covered your argument soundly. That said, you are simply basing our foreign policy on two events (Iraq and Afghanistan) and then you assume that invasion is our go-to strategy, when we haven't done that since then, at all. There was a purpose for those invasions, though no one predicted that it would turn out the way it did.
Get a few more experience points in life Mr. Citizen of the world. It doesn't matter the excuse we use to get into war, any would do as long as we seen in the right. Have a good day.
So in other words, you're okay with having a war as long as we're in the right? Clearly you're either hypocritical, trolling or you're not getting your facts straight.
At 8/3/14 07:40 PM, Gozeta wrote: You should care which president we get next. He/she might be crazy enough to go to war with your country because you might have weapons of mass destruction and/or your country is tied with terrorist organisations.
Really? The "invading another country because of WMDs" card was so 2003, and the fact that you use that as an argument against a future president is virtually disingenuous to everyone involved. Not to mention, most countries that have WMDs are either friendly with the U.S. or wouldn't dare fire them off unless they have a death wish.
I think that we're all in agreement that both sides are fighting dirty and committing war crimes (toothless as the charges usually are) but the main difference is that Hamas is nothing more than a militant group, whereas Israel is a nation-state with a powerful army. Because militant/terror organizations don't wear a country's colors or adhere by said country's rules, they get away with far more crimes against humanity than most nation-states could ever try to pull off who are supposed to follow the rules.
Think of it this way, Hamas is a pee-wee football team (armed with rockets), and Israel is the NFL team (armed with everything else) and they play under NFL rules. Naturally, not only are they playing a totally unbalanced field, but said NFL team is naturally going to be penalized for running circles around the pee-wee team, which needless to say it would be very criminal. (Not the best comparison, but still)
Yep, I just love how we have to inject politics to something that has nothing to do with politics at all. Regardless of which, I'm glad that football is back even if it is the worthless preseason, and now the ignorant idiots who would call it hand-egg will start coming out knowing that they cannot understand the game.
Concepts like right and wrong are nothing more than mindsets that one group of people have, whether it's through culture, politics, beliefs and what have you. Part of the problem is that a lot of said beliefs contradict others who have different philosophies and if egged on enough, they go to war, and the one who wins the war is going to be the most dominate philosophy for the time being.
Sure, there are things that every major culture have in common, such as senseless murder being bad and worshiping of whatever their deity was either as a requirement or at least very commonplace. But beyond those few similarities, abstract concepts vary wildly from nation to nation, such as country A raping and plundering treasure from a conquered territory {Vikings, Mongols, Nazi Germany} would be considered barbaric by country B, and on the other side of the coin, something like teaching tolerance or democracy would be seen as verboten and weakening of their own culture coming from country A to country B.
It's easy for us to say that democracy and capitalism would be considered good things by our standards in general, {and most of the developed world for that matter} but from someone who lived in the Soviet Union or Iraq are naturally going to have different views on what is right and wrong.
I didn't care too much for Gundam SEED Destiny, there was too much negative vibes associated with that show, considering that one of the Japanese VAs is the wife of the director, which created a huge conflict of interest. The fact that SEED Destiny was utter shite also didn't help matters in Japan and definitely in America, where we didn't get another Gundam series until 00 in 2009, if I'm not mistaken.

Ok, I'm really having a hard time understanding what you are talking about. Also, the fact that you just said that you're a Sega fanboy pretty much defeated your own argument, especially when I just mentioned the situation where Sega was then and now.
well play the ports then play the origanals they changed something. sometimes someone does change things on the way to make it more compatable with a different system and it can be pretty notacable at times.
The vast majority of the changes are small in nature, such as definition, sound quality and other minor details, the graphics and gameplay remains virtually unchanged. (the good ones at least)
need i remind you playstation was an unknown to and they beat sega who had the same thing plus sega does still have have entrenched fans plus as you said ouya dident have anything worth playing sega has some of the most obbsessed over game franchises ever made soul caliber for instance.
Time for some fact-checking.
First, Soul Caliber isn't a Sega franchise, it's made by Namco-Bandai as a third party developer. Considering the bad taste that was left after SC5, they have a lot to work on, but I digress. Second, the Playstation was a virtual unknown at the time, but Sony is a multi-billion dollar electronic company then, and this was just another thing to them, at least until it got big enough. Finally, most Sega fans would admit that they are better off as a third-party developer where they can make games with the console makers than make their own console now and get swallowed up quickly.
if soul caliber was only released on one console how many people would jump ship to play it do you think. plus obsessed sonic fans i mean have you scene how crappy some of the recent sonic games have been and they still sold a ton. all they really need is something to pull new people in aplus advertise alot most consoles havent been making many tv commercials ive noticed
Not too many, especially if you consider how bad SC5 was to it's reputation, as for Sonic, they do have a huge fanbase, but one franchise isn't enough to justify making a console nowadays, especially when most of their games until recently were mediocre to horrible. Also, they are really bad at marketing their games for whatever reason, they're going to have a hard time actually promoting their hypothetical console, much less the games that they published while they were working with Platinum Games.
Sega has no interest, nor do they have any real incentive to make a console now, and to insist that they do would be absurd.
At 7/31/14 01:08 PM, nanocon wrote: not necessarily if you compare the dream cast to current systems alot of its functions are acually superior they just needed better marketing. also surprizingly for 10+year old system its games actually have graphics riveling current games(not all dream cast games mind you but enough to take notice) and this is with tech thats from a 6th generation system.
That's just it, Dreamcast was a powerful console in it's time, but because of shoddy decision-making at the time, the Dreamcast went down in flames while the PS2 went on and won that generation outright. Also, the technology of the Dreamcast was ahead of it time in 2000, but in 2006, it's outdated simply due to the fact that Internet speeds were faster and is more reliable now compared to then. Compared to all the features that Xbox Live and PSN in 2006, the Dreamcast is rather rudimentary by comparison.
also these older dreamcast games as far as ive seen defiantly beat out there ports to newer systems. not to mention some independent game companys still make games for it not alot but some non pirate guys too as in legitimate businesses that got sega's permission to do so.
No it doesn't. First off, ports are virtually the same regardless of console, which is why they're called ports. Second, most indie companies are making games for every modern console, why do you think that they went out of their way to do so? Plus, the "home brew" game market is only for nostalgia purposes more so than anything else, and even then it's very small.
so if they would make a new system it could definantly compete with the wii u ps4 and xbox one if they can market it right and make mega creative games (like they origanaly did for dreamcast) they could give everyone a run for there money. plus stuff like soul calibur and stuff that draws people in would be only available from them so theres that
Uh, no. As I just said, Sega isn't going to jeopardize their relationship with Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo by making a console against them, especially when other developers bailed on them in the DC days. Creative games don't matter as much because that putting the cart before the horse, and you're only going to get a small segment of the population, which makes it a complete waste. Besides, all three consoles have huge, entrenched fan bases who aren't going to be swayed by an outsider console, the Ouya is the prime example, and it doesn't help that there was nothing worth playing on that console that you could get everywhere else.
Sega isn't going to jeopardize their relationship with other consoles just to make their own console because there is no real incentive for them to do so. Sega is better off being a third-party developer (not just with Nintendo) that until recent years, struggled heavily with bad games and poor marketing.
Dreamcast is a console that was ahead of it's time, but a mix of bad timing, marketing and burnt bridges did them in, and they're trying to recover from all that ever since. Some of them are already on the other side, while in other parts, they're still way behind the curve.

MSNBC is the democratic version of Fox News, CNN is more leftist in general, though they do get a lot of pub for democrats, so that's not completely off the mark.
There is no way that you compare CNN to a racist news network. CNN is anti-racist, you know.
Fox News isn't any more racist than any other news network, which is to say hardly at all, though they are pretty uncaring towards folks that aren't Republicans. Uncaring =/= racist, especially if you have someone like Geraldo Williams on their network, unless I'm mistaken.
That's easy, it would be Kallen Stadtfeld and Charlotte Dunois, A perfect mix of sweet and sour if I say so myself.
Y'know the more I think about it, the more that the mainstream news networks (and most non-mainstream ones for that matter) try to cover something in pop culture that isn't related to movies or music, the more they tend to screw up on the story. Some of the main reasons is that anime fandom outside of Japan and possibly East Asia are realitively small and most of the fans aren't exactly the most open or accessible to the media. Partly due to this, they generally have to guess on a lot of things when it comes to reporting something that they have no knowledge in, and we found out how bad that turned out with video games. It also doesn't help that there are hundreds, if not thousands of different anime and manga out there, which it's extremely time-consuming and in this 24/7 media culture, you can't exactly be bogged down on something that really isn't that big in the first place here.
In no way that I'm defending CNN's article necessarily, but when they're covering something that most people don't know, it's pretty hard to get a real accurate and un-biased story for someone who normally doesn't bother with this. Because of this, sites like Anime News Network exist to cover a specific medium that regular news networks rarely, if ever bother with.
Let's be honest here, this is an absolute joke created by people to track cyber-trolls, Internet Tough Guys and the rest of the rabble. Don't they have anything better to do than track idiots of the Interwebz?
After reading through the article a couple of times, they didn't come to the conclusion that anime=porn, they were simply discussing on how cute lolicon could be misconstrued to be cp. That said, I do agree that it's stupid, simply due to the fact that they're creating something that is completely harmless to real people, and it's not like the creators can't find many different loopholes around the law anyway.
I think we are got suckered in with the misleading topic at hand, most people know that that vast majority of anime and manga is non-pornographic. Of course, there are those that do slip in bare boobs or innuendo in, (Harems, I'm looking at you) but that barely moves the needle there.
Please stop making crap threads, OP. It's quite obvious that a horribly biased site with no real evidence is worse than having no evidence whatsoever. It's getting a little offensive trying to debunk your idiocy time and time again.
Anyone who takes anything that takes the OP seriously is a complete idiot, it's virtually absurd that a color of a smoke coming out of a train has anything to do with political correctness. Show's over folks, move along.

Okay, what constitutes smart or intelligent in your eyes? Try to be specific please.
Likewise you don't even have to know how to act to be an actor. You just somehow have to have the right connections. You could take random people off the street and they'd make better actors than some.
I'm afraid that's not entirely how it works. Yes, you do need connections to get in some of the bigger projects, but it's like that for any job that isn't related to burger flipping or toilet cleaning. Acting in general isn't as easy as you make it sound.
And you don't even need much talent to be a popular musician *if* you somehow have the right big league connections.
True to an extent, it's the same thing with actors in movies. That said, most of said musical acts are talented enough on their own, you don't see groups like Milli Vanilli anymore, and for good reason. Once again, you make it sound too easy when it really isn't.
The good stuff might not be popular and a lot of times the popular stuff isn't very good. That's how it goes.
That's just subjective at best, but with this in mind, a hipster mentality towards anything isn't exactly known for having the best judgement or knowledge towards anything.
For me, this is a rather tricky question considering that many generations have good games and hardware at the time. Personally, I would go with the 6th generation as I would consider that to be the pivotal turning point of video gaming going from quasi-fringe entertainment to legit medium during this time, and the roster of games isn't half bad. From a pure gaming standpoint, the recent generation has to be the best overall, simply due to the fact of technological advances, {online gameplay comes to mind} record number of sales that surpasses TV and Hollywood, and creates a new segment of the industry with indie gaming, {Even I will admit that it was a positive, now if they stop pandering to hipsters and retro fanboys and humble themselves somewhat then I maybe I won't come down on them so hard.} it's hard not to see the massive positives and advances gaming has made the last decade or so.

Um, no. I highly doubt that the creators will condone or support any type of behavior that is shown on The Purge, it was largely meant for entertainment purposes under the guise of a dystopian world where chaos is legal and encouraged. I mean, you don't see folks at Games Workshop approving of a galaxy-wide dystopian war zone of Warhammer 40,000, now do they?
I would advise not taking fictitious work that is meant for entertainment so seriously.
It's mindless fear-mongering trash.
So are all those LifeTime feminist movies that are far worse, yet people still enjoy them and because of this, they make more and more of them.
