Living in the Northwest, I take offense to that lol. Hole in the ground... jeez! Sorry we can't have such a dense population as you do back in the Queen's country...

Fact of the matter is, hockey just isn't very popular in the NW. Neither Seattle or Portland are a big enough market to get a team. I'd settle for Vancouver, but I'm an Avs fan, so screw them.

I don't think it's a matter of size, really, considering Portland has an NBA team for nearly 40 years, and Seattle needs to find something to fill KeyArena after the Sonics left. Once upon a time, Seattle actually had a hockey team, but I would imagine they didn't last very long.

It was a tough week for Philly, especially when they got their asses handed to by the Rangers 6-0 at MSG, but I'm really not worried about any other team in the East outside of Tampa or maybe Washington.

Turns out, it was PG in the 80's and early 90's as well. It was when they competed with WCW and ECW in the late 90's when pro wrestling got more mature, and that was the peak of pro wrestling IMO.

What should have been a fight between two nations exploded into a war that involved every continent on the globe. This is why I think military interventionism and alliances is a bad thing. It is like how two kids are supposed to fight, but then their buddies start fighting to until you have 10 kids on each side.

Speaking of kids, I find it really weird that the royal families of Britain, Germany and Russia were all related to each other because of Queen Victoria. As for the war itself, it was probably the stupidest conflict ever, in terms of how it was fought. Basically, the armies were fighting over mere miles of land at a time, and the vast majority of the time, both sides were stuck in the trenches firing just about everything at each other.

I never really said that G-Gundam was based off the UC timeline. Although I can agree with you that the Dub vs. Sub arguments in any anime is tired as hell.

When you give the series the chance it severely deserves,

Timeout here, I have watched this series before, when I was a kid, which of course the English dub was cheesy and stuff like that, but I never really cared for that at the time. Now that I have decided to rewatch the series about a year ago or so, I realized that on how much different the original audio is compared to the dub, other than the obvious lanaguage difference.

even if you're relatively unacquainted with the gundam franchise, you might as well enjoy the fact that it is so crazy and surreal. It probably shouldn't be the first series to start off with to become introduced with the franchise, but it's a fantastic entry.

I'm agreeing with you on that premise 100%. In all honesty, I view most of the Gundam franchise as basically "Star Wars", but with mechs and the politics that take place on Earth instead of a far away galaxy. Of course, that doesn't mean that there are some shows within the franchise that stood out and I have enjoyed over the years, but more or less, It's almost like "Star Wars", with the obvious exception of G-Gundam.

It's one big fantasy and I didn't think the intention was for it to be completely correct or serious. In contrast to some of the other entries series that were shitty because they were trying to be so poignant and serious, atleast G-Gundam was unique as a MSG spinoff at how it gave us another way to use the gundam mythology effectively.

Once again, I agree. Much of the Gundam series tend to be ultra-serious political riff-raff that is often followed by the occasional battle in space or on the ground. That's not to say that is all a bad thing per se, but it does get rather tiring to the point where I simply don't care anymore what they say or do.

My god, even Noble Gundam was modeled after Sailor (V)enus. That, plus all of the other ridiculous gundam suits, should have been enough of a clue to indicate it's a series meant for utter fun.

Perhaps I have looked at it the wrong way, considering I have generally viewed the Gundam franchise as a bunch of serious storylines about war, politics, and so on.

My God, these naive idiots don't know when to give up, do they?

First off, when you use 3 instead of the letter E in your title, that's when I stop treating it seriously. I don't care if you're trying to be cool, "with it", or whatever the fuck they want to say, but if you're going to post bullshit lies, at least have the decency to not use numbers as letters in the goddamn title.

Second, trying to post so called "facts" and tie them in with Bible quotes can only equal failure on their part. Most teens aren't that fucking dumb, much less most normal people on the street, so trying to convice something that I would imagine about 95% of teens are either doing right now, or have done in the past isn't going to work. Trying to act naive on the Internet isn't going to work, much less if you talk about bullshit, and use the Bible to back up your claims.

{On a side note, never use the Bible to back up a claim for anything, because even the most ignorant asswipe will shoot down your argument.}

Finally, there seems to be a preconcieved notion that pornstars and most people in the sex industry are loners, perverts and downright criminals, when I know about 95% of the time, that isn't the case. The reality is that even pornstars, sex shop workers, etc. have families to feed, and if that is the best way to express their talents, or if they simply need a paycheck for whatever, then more power to them.

It makes me wonder sometimes, what in the hell does go through the mind of a teenager nowadays, especially when they are going to be virtual outcasts for the rest of their lives? I probably blame our schools.

Personally, I would like to see a Detroit/Philly Stanley Cup, considering Philly is the best team in the East, recordwise, and the Red Wings are right up there in the West. Of course, it doesn't always work out that way, but a match between an Original six team and a team that is about as close to an OS team as it gets. {Plus I generally hate all pro Pittsburgh teams with a passion.}

I believe that Florida should have only 1 NHL team, mostly because Tampa Bay has supported their team a lot more than in Miami, which is a Dolphins and Heat town, and always will be. The problem with NHL teams in the south, is that it's rarely ice cold down there, and hockey has never really been very popular compared to the Northeast and Midwest.

There's one of two ways that this can end up, one is that Mubarak does face trial and spends the rest of his life in prison, which is a rather moot point, considering he is 82 years old, and spending the rest of his miserable life in a cold, jail cell would waste time and money. If the Egyptian people have their way, however, he would probably be beaten and skinned to death, and everyone would turn a blind eye to this, and he will deserve it.

Are people honestly this stupid? Do they really think he's going to resign knowing that he's going to go to prison for the rest of his life if he does? Do you think any OTHER leaders who might face the same charges will do the same thing?

Power mad idiots like Gadhafi don't know when to give up. If I were him, I would probably find an island somewhere, and never leave said island, that is if the people of Libya don't get to him first and hang him from the highest street lamp in Tripoli.

If he resigns he is a coward, just like the army units who defected to the opposition.

Gadhafi is in a lose-lose situation, if he stays until the end, then the Libyan people are eventually going to get him, and he would be screwed. If he does leave Libya, then the rest of the world would find him, and either convict him, or preferably, take him out with extreme force, and I wouldn't blame them.

Well, if you go to many of the inner cities of America, most notably in Detroit, Chicago and LA, it's almost like walking or driving through the streets of Baghdad circa 2005, but without the IEDs. There is a lot more violence in the inner cities than most places in the south, I can assure you.

Anyways, I believe that guns are an essential right for Americans, partly because of the need to have an arsenal for the people to defend themselves from tyranny. Our founding fathers predicted that there could be revolts and possible revolutions from time to time in the future, and that has been true to a certain extent.

Examples given:
Whiskey Rebellion
Turner's Rebellion
Civil War
Wild Wild West
Civil Rights Movement

The reason why outlawing guns like we do with marijuana is stupid is because that would create a black market for guns. If you have seen Gangland on the History Channel or Spike, you realize that gangs have found ways to get guns, regardless of any gun laws of a certain state, and a lot of them are either pistols or fully auto SMGs and assault rifles.

When you outlaw something that is popular with the people for whatever reasons, more than likely, a black market will show up, and often gouge people of their money for said product, which in turn, supports criminal groups like Bloods, Skinheads, or the Mexican drug cartels.

Although you can't really blame the entire student group as a whole for an isolated incident like this, this does set up a rather bad precedent for teachers and students alike.

Response to: Harder now to blam submissions? Posted March 2nd, 2011 in General

The Flash program has developed a lot since then, so more or less, something that would have been amazing in 2005, wouldn't have the same impact in terms of votes in 2011.

Speaking of votes, the main reason why Kitty Krew's flashes, and before them, the Clock Crew get past the blam is because of mass voting of 5 by the respected crew on said submission. It does get rather annoying and stupid, but at the same time, there isn't really much we can do about it. In a similar vein, the cute dress up games that seem to show up recently are getting a pass now, and it makes me wonder who keeps giving these submissions passing scores.
