Yes, yes they would.

Nothing should be off limits.

Anyone who is offended should simply just go away and live in their shell of conservativeness and leave everyone else alone.

Just got back from a 4 day Metal bender in Melbourne.
3 Nights of Amazingggg bands.

Night 1:
Edguy and Cynic
Both were fucking awesome, Cynic have a very relaxed stage presence but still manage to send everyone wild.
Edguy were just incredible one of the best live performances I've seen. Tobi is just the funnest guy ever.

Night 2:
Dark Funeral and Rotting Christ
Dark Funeral headlined, and they sucked... Boringest shit ever. Nuff said.

Rotting Christ however... DROOOOOOOL finally got to see my all time favourite band, front and center mosh went off.
Then got to meet the band afterwards (had after party passes for all the nights) Coolest bunch of guys I've ever met from a big band :D

Night 3:
Sonata Arctica and Ensiferum
Ensiferum were fantastic, really got the crowd going off, saw a few styrofoam swords in the pit too haha.

Sonata played really well, but for a metal band it was a very different experience, they talked about alot of emotional/close to the heart stuff like friendship and staying strong in times of stress.

Still they rocked so it was all good!

Yea, curse all those ignorant fucks for having a good time.

They should have stayed indoors and played with their dick like me.

Hard drives are never the capacity that they are sold under, I forget the exact maths behind it but there's a scaling system that comes into play somewhere.

For just an iTouch that's really excessive, Itt seems to me like it's files you've put there from my computer? (using the iPod as a hard drive)

My iPod Classic only has about 600mb for its Operating System.

Everything in human culture has deep relations with religion. It morphed our world.

You sort of missed my whole point. My hypothetical was if those religious influences were erased from today's consciousness, reality and memory and replaced by different memories.

I'm not trying to draw any lines or separate science and religion. Nor am I suggesting a "what if religion wasn't around all those years ago?" scenario.

Response to: I fucked up Posted December 20th, 2009 in General

Don't remember it.

In the Absence of God? Posted December 20th, 2009 in General

Just a small hypothetical that I thought could provoke some interesting discussion.

Let's say time is stopped, we are all unconscious and we awaken to have everything concerned with religion erased from existence; memories, artefacts, literature etc.
We are given new memories to fill in the gaps that religion may have left.

My question is:
Would we re-create the idea(s) of a high power? Would it be totally different to the ones that exist today?

Or go on living a religious free life, using the current scientific theories that remain to explain things we are uncertain of? Basically an atheist world.

Communism is a political, not governmental system, and entails fairness.
These are completely different topics, and people like you are the reason people hate Communism.
That, and a couple of large examples of the coincidence of Communism and dictatorships, though one does not necessarily entail the other.

Hey, hey, hey... settle down, let's not go off into useless political nonsense.
I know it's not a Communist specific thing, it's just well, you know... most Commy states are control freaks so the title is still fitting.

Point is, censorship sucks and so does communism :)

Internet censorship plan gets the green light.

The Federal Government has announced it will proceed with controversial plans to censor the internet after Government-commissioned trials found filtering a blacklist of banned sites was accurate and would not slow down the internet.
