I am considering buying the GH2 (software only) game from Dick Smith (Australian) for 40 AUD, but I need a guitar which I can get on ebay for around 50 AUD - my question is will the 3rd party guitars work with GH2 on the Playstation 2? Because I've heard rumours that they do not - but then how can they sell them?

Just bought Guitar Hero III today, bring it home, set it up - I've played it before, I'm not too bad, can easily beat any on easy - play the first couple of levels on easy, on a nice, relatively new and fast laptop - can't beat a single fucking one. I also bought a mini-dvi to RCA video converter so I can use my laptop as a console, play with a big screen and wicked sound on my TV.

NB: My laptop fits ALL the requirements specified to run GH3

Set everything up with some difficulty, and start: there's massive lag between the TV and the laptop, like 2 seconds, tried calibrating in options, did fuck all. So I unplug the laptop from the TV, hoping to try it on the tiny little shit screen and tinny sound on my laptop, which is about a third as fun, and then on the laptop, it fucks up even worse! The framerate is fucking up, everything is running slowly, I can get about 30% on the first song after about 10 attempts, and that's it. Packed that fucker back up and am taking it back in to demand a refund tomorrow.

Fucking bullshit.

TL;DR: Guitar Hero lies blatantly about specs, they fucking suck.

I can't figure out how to play the main scene from a button inside a movie clip. Inside a movieclip, I have a preloader and loading screen with a play/stream button, and I want it all to be there while the movie is loading. For the loadscreen, all inside one movie clip (in a stopped frame) - I have a button, some text, another movie clip with text and brush work(multiple frames), and a loading majiggy which someone else made (x kb of y kb loaded, somesort of text box thingy) .

First off, could you give me code/suggestions for playing the main scene from a button inside a movie clip?

Or should I compile the load screen in an entirely different way?

What are the normal conventions for loading screens and loaders? Should I make my own preloader or mod a NG one?
