It's....

MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING MEGAPOST!

FrostRhino: Okay, got your sample this time round! Very nice, love the accent. It sounds a bit awkward when you try and force your accent to disappear, but when you unleash it full force (with probably a little exaggeration, I think?) it sounds totally awesome. Anyway, welcome aboard! I'll add your profile to the roster later.

Frogs: I shall live forever until I die! Now cough up the merchandising! And your challenges are strange so I shall run away from them. *runs*

flamesvamp: If you want to join the club, check out the How to Join? section of the Newgrounds' Voice Acting Club Roster. It'll provide the details for how to join, as well as help on how to fill the requirements. PLEASE DO NOT POST A PROFILE WITHOUT A SAMPLER UPLOADED SOMEWHERE FOR DOWNLOAD. DO NOT SAY "I'LL MAKE ONE LATER" OR "I'll GET A MICROPHONE IN THREE MONTHS" OR "EMAIL ME FOR SAMPLES PLZ, K?". GET A SAMPLER, HAVE IT UPLOADED AND LINK IT BEFORE POSTING YOUR PROFILE. THIS IS NOT A NEGOTIABLE POINT. THIS MESSAGE IS IN ALL-CAPS AND BOLDED FOR A REASON. SORRY IF IT SEEMS REPETITIVE, I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE THIS POINT WAS CONVEYED PROPERLY.

KagomeHigurashi: Yes, us people who have to replace the old actor after they've buggered off need to stick together! O.o;;;

Lucien: Yay! I get a cookie! *dances with it* COOKIES 4EVA! Now I have to try and guess the last two roles. O.o

Isca: *waves to Isca from her internetless home* Poor Isca. Let me comfort you. With Elliair. Covered in chocolate sauce and ready for HAWT LESBIAN SECKS.

chibi_lila: 24? Old? HA! I laugh at your age that you consider old! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! How I laugh! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! .... I'm so old. ;_;

ARMY_ranger: I'd audition for this Robotech thing, but I get the feeling I was casted in it before... Then I heard nothing about it for several months. And now here you are asking for people to audition again. O.o And your topics remind me of sci-fi nerds talking. I refuse to be drawn into such debates. Because they are endless and invariably all just boil down to the eternal sci-fi nerd debate: "Which babes are hotter: Elven or Vulcan?".

Shinigami_Ichigo: Well, too late! I've changed yer profile name to match your NG username! It's going to be in the next update round, though.

rickstertherockstar: If it makes you feel better.... 10 years ago when that thing with you and the thing you got blamed for but it wasn't really your fault but you got punished for it anyway and have had terrible mental scars from it ever since? Well.... That WASN'T me who hopped into a time machine and did it and put the blame on you to twist your childhood into an obscene mockery of idle fun and happiness. Rest assured in that! Yup! And Zim's voice is hard to imitate at best.... I mean, has anyone actually heard Richard Horvitz's natural speaking voice? Zim's his actual voice, just a little bit more nasal and pitched and mean-like-crazy. You can't just FIND someone who can replicate a voice like that, it's madness! That kind of voice just doesn't happen everyday!

Shalamaseskia: You promised you wouldn't tell that story about my sleeping around with famous celebrities in order to steal their voices to anyone! @_@ I'll never forgive you! And your idea sounds like it could degenerate very quickly into an all-out flame war. We actorish people have huge egos, yanno? O.o

Elliair: WOO! Lookin' forward to that VAC animated thing. I think it has great potential to be very awesome indeed. ^_^ If you sort out who gets what part and everything. O.o And on-topic can be fun if you do it right! Like.... Cleaning up after dinner can be fun is you do it right! Right? .... Right?

luminousnerd: No, see the Special Notes section is there to note major acheivements and stuff; it's just that the wording of your Special Notes makes you sound very much like an arrogant ass who's full of himself. The part about purchasing a "very expensive microphone, high quality samples will be given" seems to imply that everybody else on the roster has a crappy mic and can't give high quality samples. "I work for credit and/or payment" implies that your skill level is so high that you deserve to be paid or given credit (or both). I deleted both of those lines in any case, because I think it's safe to say that any voice actor on the roster worth their salt can produce good samples and that everyone is working for credit, in any case (if you think anybody's gonna pay you on NG, you gotta be dreaming). Finally, while I'm leaving in the fact that you're taking voice acting lessons, I'm a bit leery about the wording you've opted to use. Taking lessons from a professional voice actor is great and can get you a lot of basics down, but you're wording it in such a way that the achievements of that actor are somehow your own. As if somehow the fact that Chris Miller "has worked on many internet toons, as well as Playstation 2 games and MANY Hollywood movies" has anything to do with your own skill level and acheivements. With no roles to speak of, an average sample and a Special Notes like the one you got: You're strutting around like a peacock without any tailfeathers. You probably didn't mean to imply anything of what I just said and I'm probably reading in a lot more into it than what's actually there, but that's just the way I see it.

El_Sammo: Any relation to El_Shamro? No? Nevermind. Anyway, I had a listen to the voice acting in your movies and noticed that there weren't any credits given to say who played what character (so I wasn't sure what parts you played, if any). But the credits aside, all of the voice acting was.... rather monotonous and lacking in enthusiasm and voice projection. On the plus side, your quality is surprisingly okay, you avoided mic puffs most of the time and had only minimal sound distortion. And your acting becomes comparatively improved with each subsequent episode. On the whole though, I'd say you need to recruit people from the club to voice your stuff, rather than try and join it.

Neiro: Heh, you listed Xin Session 13 as one of your favourite movies. Not just flash movies, but movies in general. I find that amusing. :-)

The roster, has details and a variety of help if you want to join.

We're sorely lacking in female members, too.... Not exactly an unheard of occurence in Newgrounds, but still.... O.o

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted March 30th, 2005 in Clubs & Crews

Well, not many people posting today either.... But I'm still on a buzz from a great oral presentation I did today. Woo! I even did a little bit of voice acting/multimedia presentation where I played a CD with some of my speech on it to demonstrate audio editing stuff. Wooha! Sorry, I'm just a little buzzed from all the wild applause I got. Now I need to settle down to write three essays due next week. Argh.

LazyKenny: Well it's the end of Wednesday here now. I just live in the near-flung future, dat's all. @_@

FrostRhino: Hey there! Remember me? I'm the guy what voiced your character of Babengira in the flash.... Well, Babengira. We meet again! And your sampler link isn't working right now, but I'll try it again a little bit later. Thank you for complying with the sampler regulation!

Welshwonder: Ah, finally! Got it working by going to your root directory and downloading from there. Strange, Geocities is usually never quite as picky as that. Anyway, your sampler was pretty much okay! Lots of mic puffs, a little bit of distortion when you get loud, and you sound a bit bored with same of the voices you're doing (try increasing the amount of air coming out of your lungs when you're speaking, you do it for some of the voices but not the others. it's all about the voice projection, baybee). And your Australian accent is terrible. I mean.... I live there, yanno. It's just.... ARGH! The pain! But I suppose I can't hold that against you. Your Australian is probably better than my Welsh. And all the Welsh I know is: Ach y fi! So onto the roster you go! When I update!

Shinigami_Ichigo, Hobbes_The_Prince and D-Mac_Double: Congrats to the three of you on a job well done! Very reminicent of the original TV show, indeed. And errrr.... Didn't Shinigami_Ichigo use to be Tetsu-kun? Aw man, now I'm going to have to update your profile with your new username.... And happy belated birthday! You're a year older and a year closer to dying!

TESM: Yanno, considering the number of seperate movies about the NGVAC that are being planned at the moment.... Maybe you, Frogs, Elliair, TVs_Slayer and whoever else is doing one (I think that's all of them... Apart from the ad from kayoto) should get together and make... A collaboration? I think that would be cool.

Lucien: You mean The Real Legend of Zelda 2? That was a very nice movie there! Though the voicework unfortunately seems to have been set at too low a volume for the movie.... And.... You play the ghost shopkeeper thing! And Ganon's shadow! And the male fairy, I think? And yeah, I hate it when my lines sound like ass in Flash after making them sound so much not like ass on my (admittedly strictly amateur) setup. Wah. Why do they make the sound ass-sounding for their Flash? Why, god, why? @_@

BNinja: Well, I'm sorry to say this but your your freewebs page (http://www.freewebs.com/ninjatome/audio/ I believe) is still missing according to the database.... You might want to upload your samples elsewhere. Until then, I can't add you to the roster, sorry!

El_Shamro: Ah, the links are working now, so I've had a listen to yer available samples! Verr' nice! Very nice, indeed! I thought the voices you did all sounded a little similar (except for the Sean Connery one, of course), but it's such a nice voice that that doesn't really matter. And I think your Seishirou worked out very nicely, indeed. Welcome aboard to the roster! Well, staying on the roster, at least. Since you're already there, technically. O.o

Elliair: I'm AHLWAYS kinky, baybee. You like it that way, don't you? *70s pr0n music plays* @_@ Maybe I can be doing kung-fu to the point where I'm doing it all the time.... Thereby increasing the hillarity level because I can never stay still! And looks secksay while I'm doing it. Just going from one stance to another! HOO! HYAH! WOOOOO! And I fear your lurker powers. Therefore.... I MUST DESTROY IT! DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN! Well, since you're not a lurker any more I guess that doesn't matter anyway.... BUT NOW YOU ARE EXPOSED! DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN!

chibi_lila: Welcome back, Lila! Unfortunately the only way to get roles around here.... Is to fight for it. IN THE THUNDERDOME! And Happy Slightly Early butisinfactrightontimeinAustraliaalmost Birthday! You're a year older and a year closer to dying!

Gamesdisk: I look forward to hearing those samples when you get them uploaded! And.... Make em an mp3 this time, eh? 5MB wav = no. Especially on Geocities.

luminousnerd: For somebody with such a bigassed Special Notes section, your sampler is unexpectedly not noise-reduced, with heavy distortion due to loudness and in wav format. And your two characters aren't really differentiated enough in voice for me to think they aren't being played by the same person. But still, it's a working sample and you've definitely got that voice projection thing down pat! It's just.... That HUGEASSED special notes section. It's not quite as big as mine admittedly, but everybody knows how much I like to ramble. Like I'm doing right now. Well anyway, welcome! I'll add your profile to the roster later.

KagomeHigurashi: Seriously, the gap between the last episode of the Miss Dynamite series and the new ones is so large that I don't think people are even going to REMEMBER the old voice, much less complain about it. O.o Then again, I did the same thing for Black Mages voice in the 8-Bit Theater series and that got me majorly panned. On the otherhand, I felt that that was the right voice for BM so screw the last guy! He's dead! Gone! Gotten married and doesn't have time for amateur voice acting online any more or something! Now it's OMAHDON's turn to shine! And now I hide with Gamedisk and Elliair. *hides*

Shock_Dingo: I wanna be Ky. But that'll never happen. C'mon, there are sprite animations for everything except Guilty Gear? Whassup wit' dat?

Strange, despite the low number of posts, I still managed to make such a large megapost, anyway. Weird.

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted March 29th, 2005 in Clubs & Crews

Wow, today was a relatively quiet Tuesday. I'm proud of you all. Sort of. Now post more or daddy spank.

Bezo: I'm still impressed with the quality of audio you managed to put, though. I mean, at that level of sound compression I'd expect things to start sounding like 11Khz 8-bit sound no matter what the source is. Like I said before, Flash is an interesting kettle of fish. And your audio commentary is the first I've heard in a Flash ever, I think. Text commentary = Yes. Spoke commentary = No. So you've definitely got a first there! And if your idea about what to do with people who don't read instructions and don't have a sample uploaded somewhere is anything like my idea about said people which I pitched at Elliair, then we're both operating on the same wavelength. Yuh-uh.

Elfer: I wasn't aware that the voice I used was a British Vincent Price, but now that I am armed with that knowledge, I can safely say that it's part of my vocal repetoire! Maybe.

Elliair: Oh wow. Your archives page is so much cooler and professional-looking than mine. I feel ashamed. Stop being more talented than me! ;_; Now you make me cry! Ohohohohohohoho! I cry like I'm laughing! Ohohohohohohohoho! But I shall now laugh for real now at your pain of compiling an archive of NGVAC stuff. HA! How I laugh. And I meant to say "bogged down". And if I remain at my present level of secksayness, I shall indeed be very happy. Do I get to do kung fu as well? I like doing kung fu while looking secksay. Doing kung fu while looking secksay is.... SECK-say. And you know what I look like? Fer real? EGADS, NOOOOO! *dons paper bag* My shame has been revealed. And once again, thank you for sharing this piece of Voice Acting knowledge with us.... Though you do realise that every such post just makes your job as an archivist that much harder, don't you? XD Ah, a double edged sword, posting advice is! @_@

Welshwonder: H8 != <3 | H8 = >:-( And your sample link is still as broken as a really broken thing.

-Frogs-: What's really weird is that I've never heard of the term "crack-a-lackin'" until this very moment. Isn't that weird? Almost.... conspiracy-like. Perhaps I was not MEANT to know that word until this very moment in my life.... Perhaps it is a code, yes, a code.... To unlock the mysterious secrets of life, love.... And the secret herbs and spices that make up KFC. Indeed. And I've had 11 out of 53 roles in Flash animation that have actually been released, which makes my batting average around 20.75%. Woo.

D-Mac_Double and Hobbes_The_Prince: Congrats on your DBZ roleage!

El_Shamro: Noted! But your samples aren't actually working at the moment, so I'll let them sit a day or two before checking the link again. If they're still not working by then, that's going to be a mite bit of a problem. And a Seishirou line? As in Seishirou from Tokyo Babylon/X? Duuuuuuuuude! Awesomeness! Tokyo Babylon is like, my favourite manga series of all time! Neeeeeeat.

KagomeHigurashi: I got frontpage too.... A couple of times.... Nobody noticed.... not even now.... *whines whines* ;_; *cries* Well except for D-Mac_Double and Hobbes_The_Prince, but they don't count because they're not real people but simple shadow puppets designed by a computer mainframe somewhere which randomly generates posts with a certain randomly generated personality template. It's all so simple when you think about it.

Lucien: Yes.... Unfinished flash animation is something that we must all face.... Although I was very much the happy lad that The Amazing Adam Android came out when I thought it was dead. I submitted my lines for that in like... September/October last year. That was a long time coming.... but the payoff! O.o

kayoto: heheheheheheh.... She got no pants on and her panties are almost nonexistant. I like it. :-P

Well, it's nice to ear that some people actually read my pointless ramblings.... Or at least are driven mad from them and forced to suspect their kitties of wrongdoing. Who would suspect the kitties, anyway? Now! Onwards!

Bezo: I'm amazed you managed to keep the audio sounding good at that quality.... Flash has interesting sound compression indeed! As for making the flash shorter in the tooth, cutting out stuff now would probably be messing around with the timing of the lines. The main problem of the animation is inherently it's greatest strength though: It's just characters standing around talking to each other. That seems a little highbrow for most of the NG audience. Then again, people who've seen it on this thread seemed to like it so far (except for that TESM guy), so you've probably got something good going there. And again, the high quality sound is pretty damn spiffy. O.o

Masquerade_X: There's a lot of episode fodder between the first and the last comic though, so I don't think you have worry about running out of PF manga anytime soon.... O.o As for me, I think Manabe should be just as perverted as he's always been. And if I think of a rant to be animated I'll send it over ASAP!

Welshwonder: You heard me. Now the taste of licorice will forever embed itself into everything that I eat. I hope you're happy. And your sample is STILL not working.

Shock_Dingo: You did the voice for the Orc? Very nice! Played the game all the way through, too. Was easy, but a nice timewaster and well-animated and voiced too! I'll put it up in your profile later.

Shalamaseskia: Man, between you and Welshwonder, you both talk too much. O.o

vashtsakared: I have nothing to actually say to you, I just wanted to make you look for your name and be utterly disappointed at the lack of content. I'm evil that way.

soul_eater25: Read the second post of this page. Actually, better yet, read this section of the roster: How to Join?. Make sure you read everything and understand before posting your profile. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT post a profile without a voice sample uploaded somewhere. DO NOT POST WITHOUT A SAMPLE. DO NOT SAY YOU'LL "GET ONE LATER" OR "EMAIL ME FOR SAMPLE, PLZ" OR "I WILL GET A MICROPHONE IN 2 MONTHS SO 'TIL THEN ADD ME TO THE ROSTER, K?", JUST PLAIN DON'T POST A PROFILE UNLESS YOU HAVE A SAMPLE. THIS SECTION IS IN ALL CAPS AND BOLDED TO MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THAT. SORRY IF IT SOUNDS LIKE SHOUTING, I JUST WANTED TO MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTOOD COMPLETELY BEFORE YOU MAKE A POTENTIAL MISTAKE. I'LL STOP NOW.

In other news, this is probably one of my shortest megaposts, ever.

This is what I get for taking the day off to finish a presentation for a university seminar. Lordy. TIme to do da megapost again (though, who really reads these?). Also, if you haven't done so already, watch and comment on this: The Amazing Adam Android. Because I'm in it. Pwease? *sparkles* Oh, and happy belated Easter, I guess. It was yesterday for me and all.

TVs_Slayer: I think if you want to get a character desctipt of Lucien, you're going to have to contact him directly if you haven't already done so.

D-Mac_Double: Thanks for the comment on Adam Android! And I'll take the "not recognising my voice" thing as a comment. I can sound not like myself! YES! @_@ It's the goal of every voice actor, really. And do multiple ones of those, too.

Welshwonder: AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH! *takes out gun* I DON'T WANNA LIVE ANYMORE! *puts gun in mouth. eats it* AUGH! THE LICORICE! OH GOD, IT'S TERRIBLE! IT MAKES MY INSIDES BURN UP! AWWW GAAAAWD! LOOK WHAT YOU'VE FORCED ME TO DO???? @_@ Oh you posted a sample later. That's okay then. I guess. But you still made me eat licorice. And I can't seem to get your samplers working so.... I'll wait a day or so and try downloading them again.

Masquerade_X: Your idea of building suspense is suspenseful in its telling. Is it just me, or do people become more nonsensical the more they post in this thread?

xXxRedKittyxXx: 1000 characters? Pfeh! Try making one of these megaposts. These are the real killer. Oh lord. I should just not bother with these things.

Elliair: Aw, you've given up on the archive thing? :-( Well, it is like.... a heck of a lot more work to get done now that there are nearly 80 pages to this damn thread. I started the roster back when it was still in the 20s. Ah, the memories. And I look especially sexy in that picture of yours Elliair. If I were to fall through a wormhole and somehow meet that version of myself and if I were sexually inclined that way, I'd ask me out. I'd then be turned down flat by my other me because I'm too uglee IRL. *sobs* Anyway, good luck with the animation side of things, you sound like you're really bigged down. :-(

Bezo: Thou doest plungeth the daggereth in your breasteth. I art besideth myself-th! Prithee, sirrah! Prithee! I hath noth idea whateth I art sayingth. And that animation was indeed very amusing.... And a happy song at the end! Woo! And commentary too! Very awesome. O.o I'm amazed you managed to have all that audio and at such a good quality too, especially considering the filesize. I think the main animation itself gets a bit long in the tooth after a while, but the delivery of the lines and the additional commentary by the "cast" is a soothing salve. Very nice work!

AbSoLuT_ChaoS: Tell you what, how about I add your profile when you get that new, superior sample up instead? Show us your mad l337 skillz at their best, not their mediocrenest. Just resubmit that profile when you've got it up. We'll still be here. No rush.

vashtsakared: Your story of the Easter Bunnygirl left me feeling empty and unfulfilled. I guess I'll go look at some pornography.

TVs_Slayer: Got your email with the piccie and replied! And.... a 2.6MB file on a free server? Whew! I'm surprised it hasn't gotten outright deleted (I'm downloading it right now). I shall listen to the amusement of reading out bad reviews later.... Possibly right after I finish this megapost! And you must fight on with your script! No matter how terrible, how bleak, how inconceivably banal it may be, remember! You're the producer and therefore you can do no wrong! Let your ego build you up to heights unknown, where not even the rotten fruit of your script can bring you down! YEAH! That's what I'm sayin'!

TESM: I come from the VAA myself. In fact, I started there and now migrate back and forth between these two sites looking for voice acting stuff. Both are equally viable for getting voiceover work, but I think the VAA has a greater sense of peer pressure since everybody's trying to be the best VAs they can be, whereas here just plain getting a role is a miracle in itself. O.o On the otherhand, getting a role here means getting it displayed to a larger world, so you can gauge a more "public" reception of your voice acting skillz. Or at least that's how I feel. Hmmm.... I might not be making sense. And.... For a guy who's making himself out to be such a bigshot voice actor and received super secret voiceover kung fu training from the VAA (or something to that effect, anyway).... Your sample is really, really, REALLY soft. And not noise reduced. And your voices do sort of sound the same after a while because they lose their initial distinctive quality and drop to your normal tone of voice after a couple of seconds in. On the other hand, you appear to have some good recording equipment, you can act in your standard voice well, you can save in mp3 format and most important of all: YOU HAVE A SAMPLER. So I'll be adding your profile to the roster later. Welcome!

Hobbes_The_Prince: Ah, thanks on the Adam Android comment! I'm just glad to have worked on such a great piece of work, actually. Actually I'd submitted my lines several months ago, so I'm glad to see it's come out at all. O.o But... The wait was worth it. Yeeha! That was awesome! The lipsynch and character expressions really help flesh out my lines, too. That's not normally the kind of thing you see animators willing to go the lengths to do, so I was happy to see Adam being all animated and hyper with my voice attached. And then there's Monkey-boy. Merchandising and DVD on his site? What? That something like that gets to have merchandising when Adam Android doesn't makes me wonder about the fairness of the world.

BNinja: I hate to break it to you man, but as long as you don't have samplers up somewhere on the interweb for download, you're not getting on the roster. O.o I heard them before when they were still up and thought them to be okay, but unless OTHER people can get to them too (specifally flash producers browsing through profiles) your profile's gonna remain in limbo. If you want a list of free servers, remember to check out the Want to Join? section of the roster for more help on that.

I leave for a couple of hours and I come back to see two pages have gone past. It's crazy. O.o And speaking of crazy, check out The Amazing Adam Android. Not only because it features crazy, super-cool animation, but also because I voice the title character and his arch-nemesis, Firestarter! And now, the megapost.

Frogs: I purposely leave in the horizontal lines to drive you insane. Bit by bit, day by day.... Seeing those lines over and over and over and over and over again! .... Well, that's bound to drive any man mad with insanity. Or insane with madness. But since you think I resemble Legend in real-life because of the way I post I shall oblige by removing those lines! And though I shouldn't approve of it, I do find the return jabs to Evil_Alex37 post of outrage most satisfactory.

Elliair: We had a super simultaneous post going on there.... How'd it happen? Board bug? And why do you and Isca torment me with whisperings of lesbian love and none in sight? WHY THE TORMENTING??? ;_; And.... The kiss and make-up session will include tongue, right? And thank you for continuing to post that info at the top of every page. I pray that it is enough. :-( Ooooooh.... And your piccie of me is cool. I look much cooler online than in real life. That makes me sad. ;_;

D-Mac_Double: Well, sure you can be a panelist! Awll ya gotta do is listen to the samplers that fly by and give your honest opinion of it. I guess I'm going for a peer review system: If enough people express disapproval of a particular profile's sampler, it won't be added to the roster. Or is that too harsh? I dunno. I want to be fair, but being swamped by samples that are just people saying their name and some random sentence doesn't quiet cut it for me....

Hobbes_The_Prince: That email from chimpcartoons sounds like another producer I'm working with.... Put us through the wringer and by the end of it all.... CANCELLED. GACK! Frustrating, yet at the same time fully expected in a way.

Shalamaseskia: You confuse me. I like you. *touches and rubs your head in a disturbing manner*

Masquerade_X: That's.... an exceptionally long time to the completion of the episode... But it's not as if I haven't been in projects that took that long.... Well okay, maybe not THAT long, but they felt that long. O.o

Bezo: Sure, blame the crazy, angry guy. Just because he's crazy and angry. I HAVE FEELINGS TOO, YOU KNOW! ;_; Feelings of.... CRAZY ANGERNESS!!!11!!! And erm..... ANGRY CRAZINESS! I have depth! See???

And now, more quiz stuff for Elliair to keep track of and go nuts trying to collect. HUZZAH! Driving people batty is just ONE of my many charismatic hobbies.

I usually try to stay away from people who are working on their first flash or still coming to grips with working with flash. I just think that they should learn to fiddle around with that particular animation program first before trying to lead a collaborative effort, and pick up the ropes of both animating in Flash AND management of actors and whatnot. That way nobody wastes their time with getting the basics out of the way. In terms of types of roles however.... Anything goes, really. Which can land me in some really disturbing stuff. Well, one disturbing stuff I can name, at least. Involving the rape of what looks like a child who was then gutted open. Yeah, that was.... eeeeeeeeee.

At 3/27/05 03:41 AM, TVs_Slayer wrote: Firstly, what do you think is important about good voice acting for flash authors? Yes, its a broad general question that really answers itself, but I'm looking for the individual opinions of all'a y'all.

I think most of the flash authors are just looking for A voice to do their stuff, so quality is a secondary consideration to those who can do their lines ASAP. That said, I think this club is helping a lot in filling the gaps that would normally be filled with people who don't know one end of a microphone from the other. Anyway, good voicework can either just subtlely enhance an already great piece of work (like say.... the Xin series) or completely carry the entire flash like the Foamy series or the CT-T flash that was completed a couple of pages back. Really, it all depends upon the kind of flash the author is shooting for. Relying on the VAs to come through for you can be really scary, though.

Secondly, what does voice acting mean to you, and what makes it important to you? Cite whatever examples needed.

Errrrr.... I find it fun to do occasionally because making funny voices is.... fun! And I hope to one day make something of it. Perhaps a quick buck! Hey, a guy can dream.

Okay, before this completely gets out of hand (not that it is at the moment or anything): I owe an apology to Evil_Alex37 for the reply to his application. I thought you were a poster who was trying to pull a fast one on me and trying to ellicit the usual "unholy fit of anger" reaction for the fun of it. In response to that challenge, I decided to pull all-stops on an overly gratuitous attack of his existence as a counter-joke. However, I was wrong in my assessment and the profile Evil_Alex37 put up WAS actually serious, so I apologise for the overtly rude response I delivered. That said however, read the instructions. They're right up there in the first post of this page. There's no need to rush out an application especially when you don't have a microphone, we'll still be here when you get one.

As for xXxRedKittyxXx.... Well, I'm just going to say that your reply stemmed from my post to Evil_Alex37 and I give a blanket apology for making you think your friend was under attack. However, I don't appreciate attacks on my person from you since you had nothing to do with the initial conflict, save being the friend of the attacked. Defending your friend is one thing, but resorting to baseless insults simply because you feel it within your right to do so in your friend's honour is another. If you have any sort of conscience at all, you'd give me an apology for stepping into something that clearly wasn't any of your affair. This whole argument stemmed from a series of misunderstandings on my part and I don't really want it to grow any further by proxy.

Ellair: I guess having my own episode is cooler. I guess. I'm still gonna sulk, tho. *pouts* :-P And yes, if you're willing to listen to every sampler that comes trhoug here, you can be a panelist! Actually, I welcome anybody and everybody for the part of panelists so I can gauge a common reception and decide (after listening to the samples myself) if they should go on the roster. And I'm AHLWAYS sexy until someone gets horribley maimed for being a jackass.

Hobbes_The_Prince: Your kitty is the cutest kitty ever! Yes, he is! Yes he is! What a cute devil kitty! *makes cute faces at kitty*

Evil_Alex37: I would outright verbally abuse you with a variety of less than savoury words, but I'm just assuming you're posting this to be funny and to see another outburst of a reaction from me. I suggest you find such abuse elsewhere, perhaps at the hands of your parents or peers who secretly despise you and have always despised you since the day you were born. You were created and given life on this good green Earth to be hated, mocked and shunned from regular human contact. All that you are is a pustulent bag of waste products, ever ready to be kicked about at a moment's notice like a sub-human soccer ball, o to ber blamed for all the faults of humanity: for they clearly line the folds and creases of your skin. You permeate failure at every pore. The only thing you can look forward to is the one solitary moment of peace when you enter the sweet, sweet embrace of death's arms.... Who will then throw you out into the sunless lands of purgatory because you are simply that repulsive to her. You sicken me to the very core. You will not find acceptance here, only the continued mockery of that thing you call your "existence".

Man, post explosion or what? Post explosions while I'm asleep deserve MEGAPOST replies. And I can't believe nobody posted "SIXTY-NINE, DUDE!!!!!" on the 69th page of this thread. You realise that I'm deadly disappointed in your all for missing that opportunity. Now it shall never happen again! You have broken this poor old man's heart. ;_;

KagomeHigurashi: Your reduction in the number of samplers available on your profile has been duly noted!

Shock_Dingo: Geez man, don't get yourself in a bind over the posting (or misposting) of the profile details thing. Besides, it looks like there are STILL people who ignore it no matter what.

BNinja: Some people have emailed the authors of some movies directly asking if they needed help. That's something they do on their own, though. The way this club works is.... People post on this thread asking for help, and then it's a mad scramble by the club members to be in on the roles. The club really exists to bring people who like voice acting together. Getting roles is something that's every man for himself. O.o And..... Your webpage got deleted? *checks* So it has! Well, that's a dillemma. It might be the host's bandwidth has expired, but you gotta get those samples up somewhere else, I think. Until you get me some reliable links to your samples, I'm gonna hafta put your profile on probation. And.... Have you looked at the roster list recently? That's a LOT of people to try and get into a single movie to advertise for the NGVAC. The main reason those particular people (including me) are chosen because we more or less post all the friggin' time. So if the advertisements work and we get a flood of new people (maybe), they'll probably see one of us posting up a storm. Or doing megaposts like this one. Whichever comes first. And like Ellair said, it's hard to get a handle on you as a person in order to write lines that sound like.... you. For example, I'm the crazy angry guy wot's angry all the time.

Bezo: I have no clue what you just said, but those sounded like a series of interesting exercises to increase one's range. Yowzas!

Elliair: Wah.... So what you're saying is my idea has been tossed out of the window. ;_; I understand. I'll just.... Go over here where it's all rainy and sad music is playing.... And look forlornly out the window. Don't mind my crushed hopes and dreams. Oh! ;_; Okay, I'm better now. *uses ellair brand tissues to dry my tears* These tissues smell like you. @_@ Mmmmmm.... Bikini'd Ellair.

Team_Spenard: Two questions: Who are you, and why should I give a rat's ass? And.... GO!

Hobbes_The_Prince: Yes, your RLL_BABY samples were quite unforgiveable. But we forgive you. And what a cute kitty! Does he know that his master is LIVING A DOUBLE IDENTITY??? @_@ Oh the shame! THE SHAME! How could you live under such an assumed name??? Oh! Can you not feel the unbearable guilt as the kitty looks at you with it's golden eyes as if saying, "I know your dark secret". THE GUILT! @_@ Nah, just kidding. OR AM I??? You'll never feel safe again with your kitty in the same room. Always watching you. Judging you. With its ever-watchful golden eyes. Maybe the chimpcartoons guy was sent to torment you for your crimes, even. TORMENT! @_@

AbSoLuT_ChaoS: Welcome! Your profile has been noted and will be added to the roster shortly. As for your sample.... Well. I'll be brutally honest here. It's short, recorded in 22KHz/16-bit/Mono quality, features a moderate amount of background noise, saved as a wav and it sounds like you recorded that sample in one sitting making up stuff as you went along, with no effort involved in the actual scripting process. This really isn't the sort of sampler that'd inspire confidence in a flash producer that you're "the one". Take a listen to some of the other samplers on the roster. But a sample is a sample, so I guess you're in! Man, at this rate I'm going to be the Simon Cowell of the group. Thank god I have -Frogs- to help back me up.

-Frogs-: I'm all for the idea of having some standards of samplers to be upheld, but how would that work? I suppose we could go for the "panel of judges" thing where several of us would give our firm, unbiased opinion on the sampler and then decide whether or not they should be added to the roster. That sounds extremely hard-assed, but at the same time.... I'm tired of hearing samples which are basically of a guy just saying things off the top of his head in succession and sounding about as exciting as a PA at the local Walmart. I mean, seriously: These samplers are supposed to ENTICE flash people into hiring us, not scare them away. And nice pictures! O.o You look as crazy as you be soundin'!

Nferno: F*** off. READ THE F***IN' INSTRUCTIONS, YOU F***IN' TWAT. WE ONLY F***IN' POST THEM AT THE BLEEDIN' TOP OF EVERY F***IN' PAGE. I SHOULD **** YOU UP THE **** ******* ONNA **** **** SHEEP BLADDERS *** ****ED RAZORS THAT **** ***** EYE! I am filled with an unholy anger. And unholy BRITISH anger. That's how unholy it is.

TVs_Slayer: Oh! Yes, your advert thingie! Erm.... A suit. I like suits. The black tie, white shirt ensemble. Mostly because IRL, I look bad in suits. But in the realm of pure fantasy, I can look and sound as cool as Agent Smith! Yeeeeeeeeah.... But yeah, a suit. With glasses. Beyond that, I'll leave it to your liberal license. Heck, it doesn't even have to be a suit. Just make sure you get the glasses and you'll already have a character who looks vaguely like me. And short hair. And you smell weird, yanno. Weirdie. I guess I should post a pic of myself, but I prefer to keep my visage... A MYSTERY! Plus, I'm dead ugly.

PHANTOMLORD: See: Nferno

From out of the water comes.... OMAHDON MEGAPOST ATTACK! HASHEEN!

Shalamaseskia: Ironic that you say you don't have a mic.... Because one of the reasons the samplers requirement was put in place in the first place, was to ensure applicants DID have mics to record with. Hmmmmmm.... *taps fingers together* Yes. Ironic, INDEED.

Hobbes_The_Prince: The Chimp's story gets stranger and stranger with each passing day. What crazy conundrum will our primate friend get into next??? That could so be a show of its own. A time-travelling monkey who's a compulsive liar and a sexist. It could work! And yes, his profile is indeed cringe worthy. I'm glad that sort of profile doesn't exist any more.... Or at least as much. Ah! And you are RLL-BABY? And have been secretly masquerading as another person all this time? You evil man! You shall be thrown out of the club paste-haste and you are never to return! Ever! Well, that's if I gave a hoot about that sort of thing, which I don't that much. I'll go ahead and delete your extraneous profile, then!

TVs_Slayer: Ooooooh.... So you're starting up a flash production about NGVAC, too? Sounds neat! At one minute long, with so many people trying to get in, you might want to plan it carefully so it doesn't become a series of blips with each character saying one word. O.o Man, what a rough schedule you got goin' there.

Elliair: You sound like you're looking forward to me taking down all those names more than I am! Creepy. O.o I wanna get in on the scriptage action you, TVs_Slayer and -Frogs- have got going there, but I doubt I'd have anything to contribute except for the occasional idea. Yarr! A NGVAC series? Great idea! We don't have to go to other people to get our voices in a flash! We got our own series right here! XD

Bezo: Nice Bowser you got going over there! I'm rather jealous of the throat rumble you're able to maintain. Mine coughs out every three words or so. Poot.

-Frogs-: I ignore you for the sake of ignorance. I mean.... The sake of ignoring you. Yeah. HA!

KagomeHigurashi: Errrrr.... Like I said before, maybe you should think about deleting some of your demos now, especially the out of date ones. With the two new links you put up, that makes 11 sampler clips. Full-fledged ones too, not the "one character per file" stuff! O.o And I thought your Eva was fine, yarr! And I have to admit to cheating a little when it comes to the whole pitch up or down thing. I'm of the mind that if I can act for a voice that can sound just as natural pitched down, then that's probably okay. Or something. Well, they're never exactly the most natural sounding of voices, anyway....

BNinja: Welcome! Your profile has been noted and will be added to the roster shortly. Your samples are clean, and are nicely devoid of background noise, mouth noise and mic puffs. You have a nicely "ordinary guy" kind of voice which can be used in any number of productions involving evcents based on real-life. And I have nothing of particular constructiveness to say about your samples beyond that, because I can't really think of anything right now. Welcome aboard! And TVs_Slayer was actually talking about characters for the flash he's doing, based on members of the NGVAC.

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted March 26th, 2005 in Clubs & Crews

Wow, more people answered "yes" to my question than I thought they would. As for myself, I do read the answers to the polls that people put up, but it usually sticks around in my mind for about as long as a a pound of Hershey's chocolate at a dieters' camp. I gain more understanding from people from the way they post, really.

Elliair: My resume needs a makeover, but I'm lazy.... And in the middle of University at the mo. Tsk! And you had more luck with the scripting of the NGVAC thing with -Frogs-? I'm jealous, that I am! @_@ But as long as I myself and me is in it... I shall be satisfied. And.... You did a megapost about joining! Yay! Although.... You could have just pointed out that all that info was available in the How to Join section. But summary is good, yarr!

Bezo: Oh my god. That's the coolest ripoff/homage/fromage I've ever seen. @_@ And there's that animated 3D logo on the roster but I think it could stand to be changed.... Maybe? It works in the absence of anything better, though.

MintFace: Welcome! Your profile has been noted and will be added to the roster shortly. You sound like a pre-teen kid, so that'll help in any production that needs kids' voices (you'll be duking it out with Acethedealer, who's got a similar range!). I'd reccomend staying away from pitching up your voice like you did for your second sample.... Your voice is high enough as it is, and it sound downright unnatural and obviously fake with the pitch-up applied. Also, between you and Gamedisk, you both need an audio editing program that'll help you compress your overly massive files. Ripway is fortunately very lenient when it comes to bandwidth concerns, but still.... Nobody wants to download a 3MB file and listen to only 40 seconds of material. There's a list of recomendded recording programs available in the roster link up there (or down in my sig).

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted March 25th, 2005 in Clubs & Crews

And now.... QUIZZES! And this is not a double post. This is an EXTRA post to make up for that friggin' post word limit that NG BBS insists on having. I can see the reasonage behind such a device but it's still annoying. Blah!

At 3/25/05 02:48 AM, TVs_Slayer wrote: Well, one question I can think of, not sure if it had been asked before during the last random question orgy, but what style would everyone most prefer to voice? As in would you prefer wacky slapstick like looney tunes, or the various types of anime, or dramatic roles, or even children's programming?

Anything that gets me paid. Anime, I have to admit, has a wider range that can maintain my interest though. On the otherhand, there's probably nothing like working together at a table reading for local productions (as opposed to ADR we're you're always in a booth by yourself) and feeling like you're part of a community rather than being stuck by yourself all the time. I dunno.... I'd take anything I get at first really, and see where I go from there. It's the paying part that's important at the mmoment, I have to admit.... I mean, I'm doing voice acting right now! Only difference in getting into professional circles is the moolah and the fame/slander.

Or what types of studios you'd like to work for? That damn evil mouse Mickey? Or that damn evil rehasher of animation Hanna Barberra? Or any of the innumerable Anime localization studios like ADV or the like?

Same answer as above. Anything that gets paid. Wow, I'm so mercenary. :-P

And here's the ones from LazyKenny:

1. Have you ever hired a VAer yourself?
Yup. I do audio plays occasionally, for which I scout people for certain roles. In terms of looking for VAs to hire for a flash: non. Unless you count directing the people looking for voice actors to this thread, I mean.

2. Do you just send the lines and hope for the best or do you sometimes check in with the author?
Shoot and pray, my friend. Shoot and pray. Occasionally, if the author contacts me, I give them the 20 questions treatement, but apart from that.... Just a plain lotta hope.

3. Have you ever had a role where you had to sing?
In a flash? No. In real life.... Yes: Where I had to sing as Mr. Waldo in a stage reading of Under Milk Wood. I actually had to make up my own tune to go with the song, because the original tune had an accordion to go with it, and our production was a little lacking in that department. Without the accordion, the original tune sounded crap, so I thought up of something that sounded vaguely Victorian (I was told it sounded like something from Mary Poppins) and away I went!

4. For some roles, do you have to anything special (like dress up) to "get into character"?
.... Uuuuhhh.... Well.... I once cupped my hand over my mouth to simulate a "mask wearing" sound (it's so much easier to do those sorts of things practically) but apart from that.... No. O.o This question seems awfully kinky.

5. (Do not list names when answering this question) Have you ever had to VA for a complete jerk?
Oh my, yes. A crazy jerk, at that. I'd give clear details on what made him such a crazy jerk, but that may expose their identity and my secret opinion of them.... O.o Why it could be YOU! Or not.

6. Have you ever tried a different job? Writing, animating, etc.
I'll assume you mean Flash-wise, in which case: Yes.

6a. If yes, what job and how did that go?
I did a bit of script writing/hacking as well as le usual voice acting for several productions: Sonic Matrixa, The Matrix RPS, some Megaman flash that has yet to get a title but looks neat from what I'd been shown. It worked out pretty well, I think the producers who saw my script changes liked them so they incorporated them into the flash. In general, I'd like to offer my script editing l337or skillz to anybody who may need it, though I wouldn't call myself a professional at it.... I just write lines which I think sound better/in-character/cooler. 'Cause saying cool lines is where the voice acting be at, j0.

7. Have you ever done anything professional?
Voice-acting wise? Non. Working at the local MacDonalds? Oui.

8. What was your first VAing job?
I've probably said this a million times now (and this question has been asked as often in these quizzes) Seifer in a Final Fantasy 8 flash adaptation.

9. How do you feel if someone beats you in an audition?
Peeved, I'd say. But I haven't really auditioned for anything for the last month or so.... I'm just one of those bottom feeding tank creatures who just sits there with his mouth open.... Waiting for a juicy morsel to escape everyone's notice and fall directly into my gaping maw. With the increase in new NGVAC members though, that's not likely to happen. O.o

10. Have you ever advertised the VAC OUTSIDE Newgrounds?
Not really.

Now here's a question for all of you: Does anybody actually read ANY of the answers for these questionaire things? Be honest, now.

I reserve my right not to answer this question until later. O.o;;;

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted March 25th, 2005 in Clubs & Crews

Tis a quieter day today.... But the megapost remains! Who reads these things, anyhow?

TVs_Slayer: You know, from reading your posts, I'd say you're more crazy than I am. O.o Stay away from me.

Elliair: Yes, you're being far too helpful. You and -Frogs-. So we must all maintain a facade of meanness in order to preserve our continued sanity. Otherwise, we'd just become mindless drones whose only purpose is to help new people get into the roster! And that would be a terrible thing, indeed. Actually, the number of times your name appears on the roster is only going to increase after you gather that series of helppages/voice-acting questionaires up onto a webpage! O.o

Masquerade_X: Is this the secret project which involves me as a doctor, or what? Because if it is.... I still haven't received any lines yet. O.o

KagomeHigurashi: Waaaah.... You got all their attentions with your Gaz. All I got when I auditioned for stuuph was a big expression of nothing. :-( I guess the IZ characters are a little out of my range, afterall.... Unless they need kooky, more adult characters. I can do that. Did you want me to include those clips you posted in the (absolutely friggin' HUGE) examples section of your profile? O.o And hey, nice job on doing the voice of Eva for the Miss Dynamite series! I'm a casual fan, and it was cool to hear your rendition of her voice, which I thought was just the right shade to suggest the previous voice actress but at the same time heading in your own direction. And is EVERYONE remaking their resume? O.o

Gamesdisk: Sorry man, what I meant to say was you completely baffled me as to how you managed to create such a wav. :-P Although the other definitions listed there could work too, maybe? O.o As for the new sample, good luck with that! And save as an mp3!

Bezo: Bwah! Bad puns! Commas! HA! @_@

Tetsu-kun: Actually, it doesn't take as much effort to add people to the roster as I make it out to be.... I just like keeping up the illusion that it's a titanic struggle against a mighty colossus. Because it makes me look cool. Yeah. I am le cool.

Hobbes_The_Prince: What partially amuses me is that this Chimnpcartoons character is actually on the roster. Looksees here. It's.... Kinda sad lookin'. But it was from before the time we put up minimum standards of a sampler, so....

-Frogs-: Yes, the idea of creating a flash based on the NGVAC people sounds like a good one.... But like Ellair and I discovered, it takes a lot of work to try and contain the egos of many actors boiling over as well as handling the script-writing to be fair to everyone.... Much less the actual animation process itself. But! I'd be willing to be a part of this. You shall make me a part of this. I shall be a part of this. Noaw. @_@

Shalamaseskia: Welcome! Your profile has been noted and will be added to the roster shortly. Nice work on your samples there! Your voices are distinctive and you can summon a large variety of characters.... as well as play multiple characters in the same scene without sounding like the same person (which is a very nice skill to have, indeed)! Were you playing some of the voices on the fly, though? Because I noticed a couple of strange pauses here and there as if you're thinking "What voice was I planning on using next, and what were they supposed to say?". The quality is a little all over the place, and there's definitely an audible background hiss along with distortion of sound when your voice gets too loud, but that's something that can be fixed with a little adjustment of the mic settings and running your samples through some filters. Welcome aboard!

-Frogs-: You think I got this sparkling personality from having a high speed internet connection that allows me to access any and all forms of media in the blink of an eye? Hell no! It was carefully cultivated from the bitterness that is being stuck on a 56K because the street I live on is currently the only street in the ENTIRE SUBURB that does not support broadband. Life is.... unfair.

Elliair: I'll sacrificie my big wordageness.... For you! ;_; And your hidden stash of internet porn. So you're into pain AND looking at porn, too??? EGADS! @_@;;; *touches you* I can be pretty if you wanted. Like a ballerina. @_@

KagomeHigurashi: Good luck on your competition! And moving to Dallas just to be closer to Funimation sounds.... a bit funky. O.o And crazy! But cool. O.o

TVs_Slayer: Oh, internet porn is never too far away. When you're willing to leave your connection on overnight to get a 20 second snippet of wet, nekkid bodies. Which I'm not. But I could be! But you'll never know. Because it's a secret. Yeah. @_@

Gamedisk: Okay, I finally managed to download a snippet of your clip (it got cut off in the middle) and I gotta say.... A 5MB wav on a Geocities server??? I wouldn't trust Geocities with a 1MB file, much less 5! The bandwidth decay would have been so great it would expire before even one person got the full clip! Get yourself a hit of sum o' dat audio editing sfotware. Please. It'll do you a lot of good, and it'll bring down that file size quite nicely. And how did you get the file that large anyway? You were recording at 44KHz, 16-bit, mono.... With the full filesize, that would mean your sampler was.... 10 minutes? Or did something go horribly wrong with the encoding process? But how would someone encode wav the wrong way in the first place? To that size? Your sampler is truly a confounding piece of work! O.o

And in other news....

THE NEWGROUNDS' VOICE ACTING CLUB ROSTER!!!!

....has been updated. Go and look and see if your name is there!

And, I think the culling of names will start next week. It's a good time. April 1st. Ayup. It'll be like an April Fool's Day prank.... Only fer real!

Response to: Voice Acting Club Posted March 25th, 2005 in Clubs & Crews

Yes, a much shorter mega-post this time.... Well, maybe. I might decide to ramble on a bit for the sake of my rambleage. Yup. Ramble.

Old_Metal_Head: Y'know, one of the best animations on NG features SP-style characters used to riginal effect: The Ray series. So I think it's just fine to try out that art style for your movie! But yeah, practice making flash is good. I think everybody's first try at anything is pretty much hopeless, so you gotta keep trying and honing your skills until something decent comes out of it. Man, I'm so upbeat and encouraging today. That's discouraging.

Gamesdisk: Have you looked at the roster recently? There's a whole lotta help in the "Wanna join?" section written by Ellair; and -Frogs- has offered to help anyone desperately needing help if those instructions don't satisfy.

-Frogs-: Are you miscombustulating my vocabulariticness? How curmudgeonly of you! I know full well that "pedantic" is a drubologicful maisonette-frame of demi-demesneconomist! I am master of numismaticlogy, so you can't lackadaisical me!

Elliair: *molests* And now you too enter the ranks of "People who post the roster link because Omahdon is a lazy bastich". O.o;;; And your raging bloodlust makes you all the more evilly desireable. Are their depths to which you will not sink??? @_@

Sonofgoku1: Cool Edit Pro, otherwise now known as Adobe Audition is your best bet for recording software goodness. That's in a moderately afforadable price range for amateurs. If you want something free however, there's Audacity which I've been told is damn fine.

Jim_Nickabocker: Welcome! Your profile has been noted and will be added to the roster shortly. I have to say though, due to the fact that I have a 56K modem and can't seem to find any way to download your samplers from your site to have a listen to, I'm just going to have to go by everyone else's assurance that it is indeed: A-OK. So, welcome aboard! Even though I despise your anti-downloading system! DAMN YOU! @_@

Isca: Once again. I demand HAWT NEKKID LESBIAN SEXX0RZ between you and Ellair. @_@

Depp_x: Welcome! Your profile has been noted and will be added to the roster shortly. Your range of imitations is pretty damn fine, though some sounded a bit more accurate than others to my ears. Overall though, it's a nice little demo with clear and clean recording. No puffs, no lip-smacktastic noises, and a minimum of background noise. Goodo! You forgot to leave contact details, but I'll just assume the email you provided in your profile to be correct.

Lucien: Ooooh! Fight, fight, fight, fight! And I need a better resume layout. :-(

Ah, I remember being the narrator and the blacksmith guy in the first ep you made. If you need other roles filled, feel free to contact me!

I love you. You love me. We all love MEGAPOSTS OF DEATH! GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!1

Elliair: You mock my inability to post replies immediately. Wah. ;_; And I should have asked you to summarise the pages of the NGVAC for me too! Why didn't a guy with a failed college degree and a current on-going one think of that? Duuuuuuuuh.... And thank you for compiling the page of "Random Useful NGVAC stuphs". You're a godsend. ;_; Nice update to your resume layout! Now I really gotta do something about mine. :-\ It's looking kinda.... old. Saitoh Hajime is the coolest evar but even he needs to be retired. O.o And you're only 16? As in.... underaged and illegal in many western countries? In that case, I must molest you. For I desire the flesh of young, unaged maidens. Fleeeeeeeeesh. @_@ And once again, you've written some excellent advicement which I shall include on the roster (the preliminaries of getting a demo). Hopefully that shall be the end of it! Probably not, though. Wah. ;_;

-Frogs-: Now I guess I have to thank you too for keeping up the posting of the roster page! O.o And yes, let's go crazy together. Grr. We are crazy. Grr. I thought we were both bad cops who enjoyed seeing people squirm.... Good luck with your rehearsal and subsequent whirlwind tour, yo!

Lucien: I agree with everything you said. Putting the screams and cries into context is le importante. It's the difference between sounding completely weirdassed for all the shouting and juuuuuuuuust right. 'Course, it would help if the animator said what kind of screams he wanted.... Though even then it might just come out wrong. Like using a "happy scream" on someone who's meant to be angry and ticked off. Not good.

Tetsu-kun: In terms of acting, try to picture how the other guy would speak their lines, and then how would you react (as the character) to their lines. It's a social interaction, only by yourself! Admittedly, this requires you to have a firm grasp of the other actors' lines as well as your own: You're not acting in a vacuum, you're going to have to sound like you're talking to the other guy. That's a very important thing to keep in mind, otherwise it's going to sound like you're talking into thin air or AT people rather than TO people. And in regards to your profile, like I said before: It'll be added to the roster once I get around to updating it (usually by the end of the week).

Gamesdisk: Once again, the libnk to your sample is broken. Maybe you should try to convert it to an mp3 instead to save on space and help conserve your (highly limited) Geocities bandwidth? Try and fix the broken link ASAP, otherwise I may have to delete your profile from the roster. I mean, you TECHNICALLY do have a sample out there, but I prefer to listen to everything first. Cause I'm pedantic.

Shock_Dingo: That sounds like an.... interesting idea. Posting a word and having people record their thoughts about it, I mean. Only it'll take too much effort and I don't know if people would go for stuff that requires.... Effort. @_@

TVs_Slayer: Yer lazy bastich for not looking at the last eight pages! I wish I'd thought of your idea first! Damn you. ;_; Sounds like your Spring Break is going well.... My break is in two more weeks.... Until which I have an oral presentation and 3 essays due. Life sucks. And the only way life can get better is if we shout at people who don't follow instructions. Don't get in my way. I will destroy you if you do not allow me this one, twisted little pleasure. @_@ And.... An award for voice acting? Naaaaaaaaah.... They might help contribute to a flash and raise its score a bit, though. The Xin series used to get a consistent score in the high 3s, then they submitted session 13. It was the first episode they submitted directly to NG with voices, when in the previous sessions the voices were updates of the old flash after they were up for a while. Got 4.20! And would have gotten higher if a bunch of idiots didn't vote zero and drag down its score.... Oh well, at least it was on the top 50 for a couple of weeks....

Sonofgoku1: Well, you've technically got samples so I'll be adding your profile to the roster soon enough! However, buying new equipment isn't going to change the fact that you're recording at 22KHz, 8-bit, mono with a moderate margin of mic puff and background noise. And you're also saving your samples in wav. However, all this can be fixed with the miracle that is.... A proper audio editing program that is NOT Windows Recorder! And turning your head to one side from the mic when you're speaking. With those tips for future samples in mind, welcome aboard! And once again, I'll be editing your Special Notes (like all the others) based on my strange standards for such a section based on my whimsical whim.

DeadThreat: .... No, I don't think so. Try again when you actually have a sampler. Don't bother posting your profile until you do.

Hobbes_The_Prince: Yay! Praise for us! Do we get more trophies? I got an Oscar! He lives in a garbage can and he's grouchy, but he's MY best friend! You don't think we're negative enough? What about the newbie-bashing? That's a negative isn't it? Or IS it? Interesting philosophical ramifications there! And yeah this club has changed some things in flash.... Not everything, certainly, I don't think this club is well known yet (and people will think we probably suck) but it's nice to see more and more projects utilising our l337orZ skillz. And I know the origin of the story of making people send "funny pieces of green paper"! Tis here and was actyally done on a children's show. Creepy! O.o

Akri: Also another: No, I don't think so. Ugh.

Sinharvest666: Is today the day that the PEOPLE WHO CANNOT READ INSTRUCTIONS IN BOLDED, RED CAPITAL LETTERS come out or something? If you don't know how to go about making a sampler, ask first. Don't bother posting a profile until you get one, it just takes up space and confuses future people who post profiles. Do not perpetuate the ignorance. It is not pretty.

Isca: I want you and Elliair butt-nekkid and wrestling sexfully in a shallow pool of baby-oil. Now. NOW. @_@ SEXFUL BABY-OIL WRESTLING IS TO BE HAPPENING!11!!!

Suppose I should get around to updating the roster! Andthewordlimit--
