oh, just some details, there isn't actually a deadline at the moment, we just want to finish xD I started off with some pretty strict rules and it's just gradually got a little bit more casual :D

Basically, I don't know if you've read the stuff at the start or not, but we have the hip hop glados song that I have chopped into parts, these parts can be downloaded from the first page of this thread about half way down, I'm doing part 7. So you just need to animate to a part and then it all gets bumfed together, as I said in my last post, you can have the other half of mine if you want, which would be part 7.5, I can split the audio for you. Another idea, you could do the easter egg, or I could put the animation I was going to do for the second half of my part in an easter egg? Maybe you click on something and it takes you to the hidden movie, just a thought.

ok, well here's the deal. I'm currently making a part and funkycaveman is doing a part. If you really want to do a bit, I've done half of my part and I'm a bit stuck for time trying to finish the second half, if you wanted. You could have half of my part? I mean, I still have some ideas for it that would be nice to put it, but I could always do an easter egg or something. Let me know if you're interested.

To funky: Yes Fable II is very good, as is force unleashed, far cry 2 and dead space, especially dead space, I can't stop playing it :D

I was thinking just Portal Collab or Portal Song Collab at first, but then how will people know that it's a different portal song and not just you're average stick figures with portal guns? 'Hip Hop Glados' is a bit more interesting but doesn't sound like a collab, also, people might not realise it's a portal thing, any ideas anyone?

I still need to do my part, it's just trying to think of two more scenes where 'fantastic' can be used over and over, it's quite difficult. Anyway, I'm pretty sure that we'll get at least a 3 or 3.5, there's some good quality stuff in this and the song itself has a score of 4.34 on the audio portal so it's bound to up the score a bit :D I am on a break next week so I will try and get my part done, if not by this weekend, and funky, feel free to send the .fla to me and I'll do the masks for you and then put it in the collab. :)

Also a slightly on topic but not really thing: anyone heard about the new game Portal: Still Alive that's just come on PSN and 360 Marketplace? Is it just portal on it's own for consoles or is it more levels than the original ones? Like an expansion? Yea, i see what you mean Souled, also, from what I have seen of the parts it doesn't seem like it will be such a big file, in other words, it shouldn't be such a long wait for the preloader :P people might not feel the need to play a game, it's always nice to have one anyway though :D makes things more exciting, also just thinking, we could add an easter egg in somewhere? Just so people will spend a bit more time watching it.

Your part is looking good, Not sure about the turret sounds though, I mean, they're good, but the original rule was no extra audio. I suppose some bits are allowed xD

Hi, what would be the actionscript to stop people pressing enter to skip to the next frame? I have a part of my flash that is a password things and people can just press enter and get to the next frame, i have hidden the items in the right click menu. Actionscript 2 please :) thanks.

I pmed Patrick-Studios a good while back now, still no reply, I think it's safe to assume he's not interested anymore. So if anybody happens to be stubling across this forum and thinks they can do some awesome 10 second animation to a portal song, then go for it :D
