Frustration isn't the case. If that were true people frustrated with violent T.V. and pornography would be the perpetrators rather than the fans.

It's a frustration with themselves that the players feel, which is more intense than just disliking something.

There was a study around a month ago that found it was the frustration caused by difficult games that caused the increase of aggression, and that the actual level of violence in the games had no effect. That being said, people that commit acts of violence because they're frustrated by a game are probably more likely to commit acts of violence because of frustration by real life. And personally, blowing heads off in video games is a great way for me to relieve stress, and I'm sure many people feel the same way. So I think it would actually be productive to have violent people play violent, easy video games.
