See now that was alright. I think that one of your main problems is the improper use of gradients. It seems like you use them for everything, they expecially look bad on the window. Also, you need to learn how to fbf instead of tween everything.

It's because I've already seen 2 other pieces of your work and they weren't good enough, so I assume that the rest of the pieces that you will make will be at the same quailty as you past pieces. I also think that if you need help making a 5 second piece then this collab isn't right for you.

But back on topic, what do you need made? what is the website called? What is the theme of the animation? What are some of the elements needed in the animation? What is your website about?

VintageBro- Not to be mean but...have you ever seen someone play guitar??? The pick goes in the right hand above the base and the other hand goes around the neck and pushes down strings... and you're right that is not good enough to go into the collab. Keep working though, try to use fbf instead of tweening, and learn about the subject matter before you try to animate it.

We still need people to take parts 6 and 7, so if you are still on spring break, or if you have time on your hands, please take a part.

ThatsMrLazy- change the framerate to 20 also, but make the movie fit. I can send back the part with the 2 different scenes if you need that, because you flattened all the layers which is unneeded.

get a sound and make it loop or set it to repeat 9999 times. Put that sound on its own layer. Edit the sound in flash so its silent on the properties panel. Place the sound at the beginning of the flash, even before your animation starts, like your prelaoder. Go to the properties inspector and set the "start" or "event" to "stream." This will force your animation and sounds to sync up.

ThatsMrLazy- please make your movie one scene, take out all the sounds and make it a movie clip.

The fps of my game is set to 20, but during runtime, the fps lowers to between 14-20, and because of this some of my animation plays too late. For example, the sun is supposed to rise after two minutes (aka 120 sec), which is animated in 2400 frames, but when my game plays, the 2400 frames are still there, but instead of running at 20 fps, it runs at a lower amount and causes the animation to be late.
Is there a way to work around this?

Volit0, Its nice, but try and have the drum actually react to the drummer hitting it. Also try and synch the music to the beat of the drums, and also add some variation on what the drummer is doing.

I suggest emailing ArmorGames and CrazyMonkeyGames comparing the quotes, then propose your own quote: around 10% -20% higher than theirs, they will usually not care, because a 10-20% increase isnt a lot for them, but an extra 50-100 dollars or so is a lot more for you. =D.

Also sometimes webistes will begin sponsorship wars, and each will try and outbid the next. So if armorgames offers 500 and CMG offers 400 tell CMG that another sponsor offered more, and that if they are willing to up the price you will go with them.

I just received a PM from Drumunit and he had to drop out also, so now parts 6 and 7 are open, and because two parts are still open i've decided to remove the deadline until the parts are reserved.

Books on Animation

I'm thinking about buying a book on animation and I have 2 quesions:

1. Do you guys have any personal favorites, or generally accepted "bibles" that would be worth my money and time.

2. Many books about animation that I see are mainly based on drawing on paper then importing into the computer, are there any books that deal with mainly computer animation?
