Don´t these few lines of text perfectly describe the life and wantings of a "normal" human? No goal (in life), but at least happy. Being happy is what counts (for a normal human), nothing more.
Humans go to work and school so they can one day lead a "happy" life.

Most of you are probably aware that we live in an entertainment society. A society that dosen´t make science/knowledge or money the primary (life) objective, but fun.
Today only a small fraction of the new generation of people have an IQ of over 90!!! The reason for this is, that people now rather go have some fun (in a sleazy bar or go pump some drugs into them, etc) than go and train their abilities (if they have any at all).
Have you noticed that in the last 10-20 years the number of groundbreaking scientific inventions has decreased (to almost 0), except in the field of entertainment tech?
The majority of "our" "modern" society are in a constant pursuit for happiness and they will try to avoid anything that might make them loose their way of life (like a war).
In my opinion an entertainment society is harmful, because in the end it will only bring mass stupidity and decay to a nation. (example: roman empire 400-500A.D.).
But whats Your opinion on this?

the high exchange rate of the euro is not good for most of the euro-countries, since they are (mostly) exporting nations and the dollar is used for international trade and not the euro, which simply means that the companies get less euro for the dollars they make on the international market.
aside from that many citizens of the euro-nations dislike the currency, because it was used as an excuse to raise prices.
