That's why we have Linux.

it also said you cannot facilitate the transport of it to a country on which the US has trade embargoes

...windows 98. it was just lying around in a corner, and i noticed it. so, my fellow newgrounders, should i put it on my old computer's 40 gig hard drive and try it out? or should i sell it on ebay for an insane price?

in the manual it says "you may not use this program in the design or manufacture of nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons" lol

consider yourselves lucky. the depiction of our macot looks like a cross between pedobear and shoop da whoop.

Did you just watch that on G4. Because i have never heard of anyone talking about this movie until i saw that G4 was playing it, as well as a new animated series.

actually, i saw it months ago on dvd. also, the g4 thing sucks cocks because i think it starts when school ends, and it takes me an hour to get home.

does yourschool have a motto, and if so, what is it? my school's motto is lumen in vobis est, which is latin for "the light is within you". almost sounds like the result of interbreading between hippies and cultists.

take a sodium capsule, and make sure to take it with plenty of water. you'll go so fast you'll leave a trail of flames behind you. and make sure you snort about 1/16 cup of thermite before hand to really go.

don't switch if that's the case, and if you get a computer capable, get vista home premium. vista home basic has fewer features than xp home.

actually, i got the idea from youtube. and it's only stupid if you don't do the research on safety precautions(although i think trying to light it with an mps torch was kinda stupid).

I'm pretty sure they arren't.

it is. it's mainly used for welding railway tracks. you probably are thinking it's illegal because it's used by the military for sabotage.

it burns at 2200*C(4000*F), but it can't explode. just a shower of sparks and a torrent of burning, molten metal.

Yeah, Mods.

i decided to put it in there, since, you know, it's against the rules to discuss illegal activities and one would expect something as dangerous as thermite to be illegal for unliscensed used/possesion. and to be honest, i'm amazed there aren't strict laws governing it's use.

Stupid little pyros.

i know all the safety precautions, and i had the thermite set up on a solid concrete block on top of an outdoor concrete floor. and i forgot to mention, i would just buy the shit off ebay for $10 per 75 feet, but i doubt it would get past customs.

Topic: where to get magnesium?

Posted: 09/26/08 06:48 PM

so, i made some thermite the other night, and tried to light it with an mps torch. the force of the gas just blew it everywhere. so to ignite my thermite, i will need either: a-a magnesium ribbom/strip, or b-a sparkler. since it is nowhere nere fireworks season, sparklers will be hard to get my hands on. also, to anyone interested, get your hands on some powdered iron oxide and powdered aluminum(both made at home it this case), mix well, and put it on something you won't miss(since a can full of this can melt through an inch of steel), put in the wick(sparkler/magnesium strip), and stand well back. make sure to wear eye protection(as the fire will be extremely bright and let off UV), as well as having a fire extinguisher handy in case the sparks hit something flamable(which is why you do this outside, away from your house)

to the mods: thermite and magnesium are legal for civilian use and ownership, so no locking, ok?
