Response to: Socialize the USA a bit more? Posted August 2nd, 2007 in Politics

When I said "babysit" I was merely using it as a short way to say "no more social programs". I don't believe that it should be the government's job to give away free money to people just because they can't get a leg up- that just means they need to work a little harder, or have less babies, or whatever.

Do I believe that there should be a limited form of welfare? Yes. A new system should be built from the ground up and the current welfare/social security system needs to be junked. It has proven time and time again it is beyond repair.

Do I believe in the privatization of law enforcement, schools, roads, etc? The elimination/privitization of the military? No. It is the government's responsibility to keep its people safe and happy (or they get overthrown). It is not the government's responsibility to hold it's citizens' hands through life and make sure they get through OK. Thats what self determination and a brain is for.

We have charities, I donate to them. The government is not a charity.

None. It's not the government's responsibility to babysit anyone.

You'll be fine. Its really not as hard as everybody (by this I mean comedians) says it is. You'll know what to do.

I have failed at everything I have ever attempted. Some might say I am a fail-URE, so to speak.

I would appreciate it if you could make me one. I would like it to be blue and white and wintery looking. In other words, it looks very cold. And have my name incorporated into it somewhere. Thanks in advance.

No offense dude, but why?

You're about 15 aren't you? *checks profile* 14 then, close enough.

Response to: Polygamy. Posted July 27th, 2007 in Politics

Think about it. Would you rather have two abusive, neglecting parents or four loving parents?

You're comparing the worst case scenario vs. the best case scenario to support your case. What if it was the other way around? Would you rather have two loving parents or four abusive parents? Or two abusive and two loving? Then there can be a divorce and possibly a four way fight for the kids. Look at all the possibilities.

Response to: 16th Amendment. What??? Posted July 27th, 2007 in Politics

Supposedly the IRS isn't technically a legal organization. But I don't care, I don't want the IRS on my ass.

Response to: Polygamy. Posted July 27th, 2007 in Politics

Maybe, I don't really agree, but I don't think I can really prove you wrong either. It should be a matter of personal preference if anything I guess, but even if it was I think that most people would still choose to pair off rather than group up. I say this because it seems to be a pattern among higher organisms to pair off with a single mate.

I do however think that you are assuming a lot by saying that all these problems would be solved by multiple partners. It would solve some of the ones we have, but open up a whole new group of new ones.

I do keep an open mind, except when it comes to the matter of yet another "OH NOES! The government is out to get me!" conspiracy theory.

Response to: Are online games bad? Posted July 26th, 2007 in General

They're fun, I like them. The only problems arise for me when I run into the people who have made the game their life and act like you are a piece of garbage because you have a life outside the game and don't devote every waking moment of your being to the advancement of your character.

Response to: Are we better off? Posted July 18th, 2007 in Politics

Look at it this way: there was a problem, and it was addressed. It may not have been dealt with in a way that everyone agrees with, but it was still a problem that was addressed and dealt with. Yes, the world is a better place for it in the long run.

Response to: voting in america Posted July 18th, 2007 in Politics

If people don't want to vote, thats their own damn fault. I vote Republican because its what I feel and think, not because I'm an idiot. If we had more of that, voting would not be futile.

Response to: The american war of independance Posted October 15th, 2006 in Politics

We tried diplomacy. The Americas were colonies that were under complete subjugation of England, and it had gotten to the point where Americans were almost second-class citizens to the British. King George was the King, back in those days you would only negotiate with other kings, not your whiny little colonies. Not everybody can be reasoned with- diplomacy is not the universal trump card to all problems. Some people need a fist in the face to understand.

Response to: A point on communism Posted October 15th, 2006 in Politics

I don't like the idea of a system that causes stagnation of infrastructure and technology as a byproduct of its existance. Thats's why I don't like communism.

Anyway, logic dictates that true communism, if anybody managed to form it in the first place (a big if) would not last long before people began re-organizing into factions and fighting. It's human nature, we all want to feel part of something bigger than ourselves. Communism looks good in theory, but that does not traslate to reality.

Response to: North Korea Sanctions. Posted October 15th, 2006 in Politics

Actually, sanctions have a huge potential for hurting the North Korean government officials. Kim Jong Il is a huge extravagant spender and has lived in the lap of luxury all his life. He imports Japanese seafood, American movies and McDonalds, and European cars and instruments all the time. He has a collection of Harley-Davidsons too. If Kim and his elites starts finding it a little more difficult to get all his toys, he may be more apt to cooperate.

Srry for being a smartass, but I just HAD to do that.

Actually, using Calculus, there is a way to prove that 1.9999999999repeating and 2 are in fact the same number. I can't remember how to do it (I hate Calc), but there is a way.

Oh, sorry about the double post, but I rememered another one. I used to work at a skating rink as a summer job, and one of my manage's sister in laws named her girl Shakikiandria. She also had a really long and strange middle name, which I can't remember.
