Well, yeah, I hate it when I gots to go and the lid is up, so I have to do a little dance while I put it down... it's best if I can just about-face and drop trou. I'm not gonna bitch about it, really.

Also, I know it's difficult for guys to avoid the splatter factor, and it does tend to get on that bottom part. When the lid is up, and you can see all that mess, it eez a bit gross, yes? Put the lid down, can't see the nasty. It's just for the best.

I s'pose we all just have to agree to disagree on which is supposedly better. Having different positives makes it hard to compare them. Yes, British humor is subtle and requires a certain IQ to appreciate. And that's great. I love British humor, it's got a certain dryness to it that I adore.

But it can get to be too dry. Too slow. Blah, blah blah, get on with it. Yes, the irony is awkward, stop standing there and staring at each other.

And, yes, American humor tends to favor the sexual jokes or fart jokes and dirty jokes that can be ridiculous and stupid. But tell me you've never laughed at at least some of it, and I'm gonna have to not believe you. It's simple, it's straightforward, and you can't go into it with high expectations of intelligent, comedic grandeur.

Basically, they've both got their ups and downs, two sides of the same coin, et cetera. Can't really say one is better than the other. Best to just appreciate what you can of both.
