Thanks for the feedback everyone. Well, back to the drawing board for me.

Also, I do know that there is a lot about this that needs improvement. But I've spent enough time on this concept I think, and it's time to move on to other ones.

Good enough for front page? Posted August 14th, 2011 in Art

Do you think this piece is good enough to be featured on the front page?

A much higher quality version is in my Newgrounds Gallery here

When I first submitted this, it was with a bunch of my best works. And one of them did get front paged. This also had a couple of things, that needed to be improved. So I think it just got over looked.

I did spend a few more hours on this and made it a bunch better, I think. And I've had a bunch of people say that they thought this was really good.

Now that this piece has been improved, how do I get it noticed by the people who pick art for the front page? Do they only pick new art? What do you think?

Hopefully it's cool that I made this thread. I love the Newgrounds community, and I want to show you all what I've been working so hard on.

Response to: Bamboo vs Intuos vs Cintiq? Posted August 12th, 2011 in Art

I used a Bamboo fun for about a year, and then I got an Intuo4 (about 9 months ago.) and it made a HUGE difference for me. The Intuos is WAY more precise. Plus I use the "spring Nibs/tips" and that really helps with the pressure sensitivity. Being able to program the buttons on the right to my most used buttons in each program has been very useful as well.

I found an "academic version" of an Intuos4 Large on amazon for about $380. If you want to get a medium, it might be worth it to you, to look. Basically the only difference is that the Academic version doesn't come with a bunch of software, (which I didn't need.)

I need a little bit of help. . . Posted February 18th, 2011 in Art

So I've been coming to Newgrounds for a while now because of all the awesome music on here. I recently decided it was time I start putting my artwork up on here, but now I don't really know what to do. . . I've read the art guidelines and I know people aren't supposed to ask to be scouted, so I figured I would do what I can to make some friends by posting art reviews. But when I go to post a review I get a "Review agreement message" and that's it.

I haven't really done too much of anything on this site to be on some sort of blacklist. . . Am I not able to leave reviews because I haven't been scouted? I did have a subscription to about ten RSS feeds of my favorite artists, and now those RSS feeds don't work for some reason. Did that possibly get my account on some sort of blacklist? I've received no warnings or messages of any kind.

I really love the Newgrounds community, and I would like to start contributing more. It shouldn't be this hard to get things going. . . maybe the best place to start is just by making a forum post like this. So here we go:

Here is my piece "Holding Energy" what do you think? (Larger resolution in my gallery.)
