if you put something special in it, and obviously finish it then It could get quite a high score. but it wouldnt get very far if it was just a normal car dress-up game. put something cool in... like... special music... or some sort of customizable hardcore gangsta rapper driver dude... yeah...

Response to: Check out character designs! Posted March 28th, 2005 in Game Development

firstly, do the movie yourself. secondly, the characters are ok, but they could do with a LOT of work on graphics.

Response to: Help! I Need A Game Like Punk-0-... Posted March 28th, 2005 in Game Development

yeah,. you could make it, but you'd need a HELL of a lot of experience in AS. And I don't think there are many out there who'd be willing to spend the time to code it to be perfectly honest.

Response to: People posting crap on portal! Posted March 28th, 2005 in Game Development

thats what the under judgement thing is for... so none of the really bad submissions get through and clog up the portal... except a lot of the time they do somehow (damned mass voters). but yeah, some of them really are unbelievably bad.

1. Asians should not have drivers licenses - I agree (so sue me)
2. Black people should go to prison every saturday, just in case - its funny because its true
3. Retards should be shot, they waste money - depends how retarded they are
4. Gay marriage is gay - no shit!
5. Michael Jackson should be molested to know how it feels - hes not been convicted yet.
6. All races are fucked up, but Native Americans (I'm not one) - hmm.. i suppose, but they all run casinos now.
7. Fat Joe is WHITE - who?

overall the animation's fairly smooth, and the lightsabre graphics aren't bad at all. but you need to work on the people. either make them "smoother" or make 'em sticks. They're a bit too sketchy.

Response to: Flash Showcase! Posted March 26th, 2005 in Game Development

I put a game on there that I'm making. Half of it doesnt work, but you gotta make sure you click on 'instructions' first. http://img100.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img100&image=nogginmengame3ss.swf

make sure there are no gaps, and if it still doesn't fill in just zoom out a little bit and then try.

Walls Posted February 23rd, 2005 in Game Development

Quick question, how do you make walls (you know, so you cant go further) using actionscript? cheers.

Response to: i`m just a beginner Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

i cant remember if its zipped, if so, unzip it, then open flash, open the NewgroundsPreloader.fla file, then copy the first keyframe into the first keyframe of your movie/game. simple. only make it last one frame, or its lame.

Response to: SP studios is recruiting members Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

I would, but... hmm... I dunno... Thing is, Nogginmen Animations (we're tiny, no-ones heard of us, but feel free to visit our site: Here) are working on some big projects now... so... I think... i'll have to say no...

(i have a feeling this is a pointless post... oh well)

Response to: If you feel like helping Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

I do know a little bit of actionscript, but not an awful lot. I think I may know someone who can help, but they're not online at the moment, so I'll find out

Response to: If you feel like helping Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

its pretty good, but yeah, the character needs work :) do you have msn or yahoo?

Response to: 3D animations Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

we believe you...

Response to: previous scene actionscript Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

it... seems to work! w00t! Thank you! All is well in the world of Nogginland... :) Anyway, for that I shall reward you with the story so far;

You control a character who currently has no name. The idea is to go through this lair of evil german gnomes to rescue the clay monkey. To do this you must defeat the german gnome boss thing. Its gonna be sort of like madness interactive, only not as good... go here to find out about the Nogginmen Animations crew (especially the Clay Monkey. I'm proud of that :)) Nogginmen Animations crew. The main page is Nogginmen Animations main page. Cheers again!!!

Response to: If you feel like helping Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

I'm not sure if I could help with all the actionscript, but I'd be happy to help you create better characters. Twould be helpful if I could see what you've already got though. For some reason I'm imagining a monkey O_o

Response to: 3D animations Posted February 7th, 2005 in Game Development

everything seems to be turning into a flame war today... oh well, i've tried studio max somethingorother, but I couldnt be bothered to learn how to use it properly... so... dont take my opinion...
