What i really don't understand is why there's such a 'market' for scriptwriters... Why can't people be creative and write there own scripts?
or why dont all these script writers try to animate their scripts themselves... The mind boggles...

ok, mines done. I might need to re-do the mouth though (it sync's fine with the stream, but it doesn't compare to some of the other mouths i've seen...) what do you think?

Response to: No denying it: Green Day rock. Posted April 5th, 2005 in General

I fuckin' love Green Day! Loads of people in my school starting hating them since they "sold out" (I dont think they did), but I still love them! I'm seeing them live twice this year :D (well i've already seen them once, im going in june aswel)

Response to: Books, who needs them? Posted April 5th, 2005 in General

whoever told you that all books will be destroyed is a bullshitter. Loads of people still read books, me for one. Admittedly, when I need information I use the 'net most of the time, but books can be used for much more than that, *gay man voice* they can open up a whole new world of imagination and provide an escape from the harsh reality of this world. *dies*

I just had a thought, do you want us to leave the sound in when we send you the .fla?

Response to: Platform and Shooting games scripts Posted April 5th, 2005 in Game Development

Does anyone know a decent jumping script? Its sort madness interactive type game, but I can't get the jumping script to work. At the moment I'm using;
onClipEvent(enterFrame){
if(Key.isToggled(Key.UP)){
this.gotoAndPlay("3");
}

The character does jump, but only every other key press, and you have to be standing still. Anyone care to help?

Response to: shooting Posted April 4th, 2005 in Game Development

Go into the MC, make a second frame, on the frame put this:
play();

Then animate the attack, and on the last frame put:
stop();

Then go back to the stage and put this code on the MC:
onClipEvent(enterFrame){
if(Key.isToggled(Key.CONTROL)){
gotoAndPlay("2");
}
}

That should work... I think... It works for me

Response to: voice acting Posted April 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

hmm... I bought a mic recently (its fairly new) from some computer store, its kinda... bad... and then it broke, but yeah, that helped, thanks

Response to: Ideas for a Logo Posted April 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

Or, subsequently, you could be more creative and think of it yourself.

voice acting Posted April 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

Ok, firstly, I'm well aware there are threads for this, but they have millions of posts and no-one reads them all.

Firstly, could someone tell me where I can buy a decent mic, or what make to get, then I can do it myself and save someone some time/effort

Or, is there anyone out there who'd do some voice acting for me, its for a game about some guy who randomly decides to have an adventure for no reason. I won't need many voices for in-game, mainly the 'intro' movie.

So yeah... Reply to either part of that. Preferably the first part.

Response to: element trailer to become series? Posted April 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

There were furries in it? I didn't notice, I just thought it was some well animated animé... eh, what do I know?

Response to: Best Series Ever Posted April 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

I agree with what some guy said, how on earth do you think you'd fit this into 5mb?

Oh and no-one believes you.

Response to: Stop Crying Your Heart out (collab) Posted April 3rd, 2005 in Game Development

Seeing as line 28's done, I'll go for line 15. You've seen my character already, I'm currently tweaking it to make it actually look good though.

Response to: what do you look for in a 3d fps??? Posted March 29th, 2005 in Game Development

pretty nice models, but you should make 'em either dark angels or blood angels... I dunno what they were supposed to be... Anyway, in an FPS i look for; good graphics, simple controls, violence, fun weapons, levels. What would your character be by the way?
