I agree with that guy ^

You should've made some horrible beast of hell. That's not run-away worthy at all.

Response to: Rocket Launcher Posted August 9th, 2006 in Game Development

I tried that, couldn't find anything, i was wondering if people had any like, hints from experience.

Rocket Launcher Posted August 9th, 2006 in Game Development

How could I do an effective rocket launcher explosion for a battlefield style stick animation?

I've done one, but it just doesnt seem.... right.

Anyone got any tips or tuts?

You can see my animation here

Explosion Posted July 28th, 2006 in Game Development

Does anyone know any good explosion tutorials?

Or could anyone give me any hints on creating one. It's a grenade if that helps.

A man yells 'HIATUS!' before hurling a lemon into a crowd.

Response to: I'm an idiot Posted July 23rd, 2006 in General

Drugs. Learn to roll joints, everyone will bum you.

But I am being serious. If you're finding life hard, and you cant do anything, then just try something out to see if you like it, just don't let it control you.

Response to: Most Violent Game You've Played. Posted July 23rd, 2006 in General

I'd say Manhunt is the most obviously violent one, but there's a few more that are violent in different ways.

The Warriors for example, although it's not very gory, you can twat somebody round the face with a sledge hammer and proceed to boot them in the face. The bottles to the face are pretty nice too.

OR, there's Backyard Wrestling. Again not obviously violent, and it's also a pretty shit game, but the idea of using a bat wrapped in barbed wire is great!

Then there's Shadow of Rome. That's rather violent aswel.

Just go to proporties with the line tool and change the size. I used size 5 cause its not too big, but you can use whatever.

He fell forward 'cause he got shot in the shins and he buckled, rather than being thrown backwards from the force.

Response to: should i submit this? Posted July 16th, 2006 in Game Development

The graphics are ok, but you could work on what you do with the mouth.

Also try and get better quality voice if you can.

Response to: idea for a flash Posted July 16th, 2006 in Game Development

It'd go something like this:

BANG
End

He has... super hearing?

Anyway, I re-did the impact. Is this better?

Thanks a lot, man

Response to: Fighting Animation Posted July 16th, 2006 in Game Development

Thanks for the idea!

It was for that seemingly dead Fight Collab thing. I've never really done any stick work so I thought I'd rip the idea from Battlefield just to get the feel for it.

I guess you're right, it probably would be better to do a more orginal idea, but I think i'll finish this first.

Response to: Dumb-ass who needs help. Posted July 16th, 2006 in Game Development

Isn't that to do with maths?

Fighting Animation Posted July 16th, 2006 in Game Development

I'm animating a stick fight, you can see what I've got so far here.

But anyway, the part where the black guy gets hit by the yellow guy doesn't really have much impact. What could I do to make it seem like he really got hit hard?

Also, When he gets shot in the leg, do you think the 'blood' effect I have is okay, or should I develop it? If so, has anyone got any tips?

Response to: Animators come here... Posted July 1st, 2006 in Game Development

violencegasp. why would a 14-15 y/o care about violence??

Sounds deep.
I could probably do this, but I should really be working on my own series...

Here's a bump/update. I did a bit more to line 6.

It's not too bad. Theres a couple of gaps that could do with filling in though.

Response to: a different writer looking for... Posted June 16th, 2006 in Game Development

To be honest, I don't see the problem with writers and animators etc. Some people have an idea, but they can't articulate it, writers help with that, and its a team effort.

However, you'd expect a writer to use proper english not 'u r just a link in the chain'.
Psh.

Response to: Canibalism!!! Posted June 16th, 2006 in Game Development

Why bother putting an unrelated title? This is likely to get locked now, and it's your own fault.

Response to: Character Designs Posted June 15th, 2006 in Game Development

What is this for, exactly?

Response to: my new little animation Posted June 15th, 2006 in Game Development

That was fucking terrible.

The voice wasn't mysterious or forboding enough, the animation was poor, and the graphics just as bad.

Thanks for your time.

Response to: Is this good so far? Posted June 15th, 2006 in Game Development

Try making the windows the same size. Since when do buildings have windows of varying size and position?

Response to: ***read This*** Posted June 15th, 2006 in Game Development

If i had a good idea, right, why would I give it to you for free?

Response to: Good way to draw Posted June 15th, 2006 in Game Development

You have to have some basic anatomical knowledge of the construction of a human. Then its just practise.

Response to: Duality Collab Posted June 15th, 2006 in Game Development

Paul Gray is good.
Mick: Sort the bicep out, its too wide methinks, also, go through fbf and make sure there's no gaps between his hand and his forearm
Corey could use a little work too.
