Where's South America? Posted March 17th, 2003 in Politics

i've been pondering this for a while now...between all the worker rebellions and messed up governments, North America's Southern brother the has failed to receive much attention from US and the World until recently. I remind you that it's been only a few years since Brazil's economy fizzled, Venezuela had some leadership changes, and yet the UN has been focused on the Iraq issue. If the world paid some attention to this continent, do you see any good?

Response to: UN Vetoes Posted March 17th, 2003 in Politics

It's tough to please everyone, especially when Iraq is the #2 exporter of oil in the world, but it's #8 on our importing list. So if Iraq radiates the oil, Europe freezes over(next winter now i guess). I have to give credit to you Canadians, we get more oil from you, than any other foreign nation!

lol nice one! Yeah we don't answer to anyone. We don't need the French permission to let terrorist nations persist. Do not make me cite my german shepard. And we certainly don't need these small toilet nations either. We're so caught up in trying to please everyone that we're holding our own balls as the searing sand blows up our skirts...

please define huge because i'm too stupid to realize we've been dealing huge amounts of Arab funded terrorism in America in the 90s

Fox News is entertaining as well, but nothing is more fun than reading the posts from our group of pundits in this forum. If you can read through the bullcrap and see the points that many present, you'll get all the facts, and probably make your own conclusion.

Response to: Allies withdraw resolution Posted March 17th, 2003 in Politics

unfortunately, the US will be attacked from the inside by the sleeper cells, once war is underway. This is not a dove speech because i feel war is necessary to remind Europe who's the superpower and who's the weak collection of nations that never survived WWII. As for terrorism is concerned, start learning from the Israelis, they know the most about dealing with disaster. Expect cruelty, expect unfairness from the government, the 90s were a spoiled time for Americans, this decade is the rude awakening of things to come...

Response to: Extinction here we come Posted March 17th, 2003 in Politics

extinction is inevitable, but wishing for it is pointless. Because we'll just come back again eons in the future. The viruses that will outlive us and that have outlived the dinosaurs will continue on, then they'll evolve. Another lifeform will emerge that will resemble the thinking skills of humans. Time is a loop, and will never be understood, just as your statement before.

China will take care of NK if this gets out of hand, all of this started when US blew NK's cover by calling it an axis of evil 2 years ago. Nukes won't stop millions of Chinese soldiers from swarming such a small region.

You're correct. By the way, did you know that the Jewish population-less than 1% of America- funds over 50% of major political campaign funding?

At 3/14/03 11:53 AM, Slizor wrote: We we've been missing a topic on this for quite some time. Anyhow, a set of questions that should spark debate (their intention is the polarize views.)

1. Which side's fault is it for the lack of peace in the region?

2. Are suicide bombings an expression of hopelessness?

3. How old is Israel?

4. Do the Palestinians have any claim to the land?

1. It's the world's ignorance that leads it to believe that the lack of peace in the region and that there's someone at fault. The only way these boundaries exist is through war. Always has been and always will be. Tough luck doves.

2. Suicide bombings are two forms of expression. The first expression it resembles is the zeal of the Muslims that fervently believe they are going to the promised land after their acts. Maybe they're right, maybe their wrong, but that's religion. It's also an expression of hopelessness considering that Palestine rebels don't have the money for an army because the High Command of the PLO contains the 90% of the wealth in that region. Thus, the only battles they can fight are the ones prove that in this age one person can truly make a difference in the world.\

3. The current nation of Israel will be turning 55 in May. Since Israel was gobbled up by various groups in the past 3000 years, one cannot say it's existed in its own sovereignty for those 3000, yet all three(3) sides have reasonable claims.

4. As for the Palestinian cause, the wild part about this is that Palestine was an extension of Roman territory at one point and an extension of the Ottoman Empire until WWI. Palestine in its own sovereignty has NEVER existed by itself so that claim is false. The only claim it could have is if the entire Arab World demanded that the Brits and UN give back their territory. Unless Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Transjordan, Syria, Lebanon, and the rest of the small Arab Nations fuse back to a Neo-Ottoman Empire, the claim is lacking. However, since many of these nations have been fighting together against Israel, is it a coincidence?
