People aren't going to stop smoking because you tell them they might get cancer, they already know about that and pointing out the hazardous effects of smoking isn't the objective of this thread.
Some people obviously need it drilled through their heads because even though there are messages upon messages being sent around that smoking cigarettes has a very good chance of giving you long cancer, new people start smoking every single day.
This is why it annoys when smokers get disgruntled over anti-smoking messages.
ANYWAYS
On topic, 8.34% is not a significant amount. At least, not big enough to fuss about.
Speaking as a smoker who started recently I feel as I need to say this, nobody is the fucking world does not think smoking does not cause cancer. Nobody, null, zero, none, in the current media the only way you could succeed in thinking that smoking does not cause cancer is the be dumb deaf and blind.
The thing is that people do not care that it causes cancer, as hard as it might be for you to understand some people are at peace with their mortality and would rather enjoy their lives. Often with the cool refreshing taste of a cigarette. Because I would rather enjoy smoking and die young then quit now and live to wear adult diapers.
