"Here to Stay" is relative. I'm not going to let NG control my whole life, because I would rather live in reality. But as far as the people, I value talking with some of you guys and will defintely drop by every now and then. I'll submit songs, just less frequently.

Alot around the NG Audio portal has changed. Its good to see!

Rucklo, its good to see that your contest is still up and running. It goes to show that you are consistent and finish things to the end.

Was there any time where the going has gotten rough with MAC?

Response to: Hello again! Posted September 16th, 2007 in Audio

Likewise!

Hello again! Posted September 16th, 2007 in Audio

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to say hello to some of the oldtimers. I hope you're all doing well. Feel free to message me once in a while, I still check my messages, and i'll be starting to post music once in a while too again.

Any forumers from 2006 still out there? I see you Chron, speedmetalmessiah...

Dan

Hello again Posted September 16th, 2007 in General

Well, I thought I would pop my had in the door and say hello to a few of the oldtimers. I hope everyone is doing well.

Is anyone still around that was on the forums in 2006?

Response to: Guess who's leaving NG... Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

This is my final post.

Thank you MS, what a lovely tribute. I am incredibly grateful for this response.

I hope to speak with all of you in the near future!

G9, i'll email you the commentary that I finished, though it was only half the questions. Hopefully you can do something with it.
Response to: Guess who's leaving NG... Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

Sorry about the double-post, but I made a song for you guys.

{Say Goodbye}

Response to: Guess who's leaving NG... Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

So...what are you doing now, or would you be rather uncomfortable in answering that?

Thanks guys.

I can answer that, i'm going to be working in a church program up in BC, Canada. We basically go around the country and help people out, like people who are needy.

I'll probably be building a few shelter's for the homeless with my team, and i'm sure we'll be helping out in areas of hunger as well. No internoodle for me...

The first half of the year is preperation, and the second half is actually going out. So the second half of next year i'll probably be living in a van. No internoodle :(

Thanks for the support,

Hey, why weren't you on my list!

Sorry
Guess who's leaving NG... Posted September 20th, 2006 in Audio

Well... The time has come for me to leave you guys, and carry on with the direction my life is taking me. I'm going to be shifting to a fairly uncomfortable point in my life, hopefully it will benefit those in need.

Today is my last day on NG until August of 2007.

While I was here, I really grew in appreciation of the people I met. I miss you guys already.
Special thanks goes to:

-SoundShifter
-Chronamut

-Cornandbeans

-Rucklo

Sorry if I missed anyone, it's not because you didnt make a difference for me.

Thanks for making the difference for me you guys, I really appreciate all of you.

Indeed. :P How's the interview clips going?

That's tommorow's task. Amidst my crazy shedule, I'll force some time in to record them.

Its insane... I leave in 2 days!

...I may PM some of you, as my script progresses, for permission to use your track in this movie. So if you get a PM relating to a Flash, I've selected you!

I also need help finding an external audio card to plug in my SM-58.

Though, the smartest option would be to [urchase an external sound card, if you lack the funds, you should buy a XLR to quarter-inch adapter, and then a quarter inch to eight-inch adapter.

Response to: text to speach Posted September 17th, 2006 in Audio

I apologize... those links were only temporary. Instead, I'll only post one.

At first, your not going to believe this was a text to speech conversion!

Click hear to listen to the fixed link for the first example.

By the way, I had screwed up no the wording. I copied the text from the english accent one.

no this is not supposed to sound like an english accent

You guys would be really interested in checking out what AT&T labs has for text to speech engines.

They have the most realistic conversion that I had ever heard. There's tons of voices too, here's just a few of them:

Older fellow, rich voice
English Accent, UK
American voice, very cool

Wow, Pro Tools HD is $10 000 and up?

I knew it was costly, but that seems rediculous.

I think that Blacknoise is realizing that SadSpoon did a remix of HIS (Blacknoise's) song. Blacknoise origonally wrote paradigm, which happens to be a very nice track. Hopefully that clears things up.

G9, sorry to have worried you. Yes, I should be able to do them now. I was busy this entire week.

I'll get it done ASAP, so that I don't screw you over. Thanks for the patience

G9, i'm not sure why you're confused how to make a pop filter. In Greeksta's picture, it shows a simple alternative: Pantyhose over a hanger.

I thought that was fairly straightforward.

Just for the record, I find Rucklo to be one of the nicest looking guys on the AF

:Don't worry, Chron you're in the top 3

Vulgar or not, Chron, I was trying to say that you were a nice guy.

Response to: Keyboards.. Posted September 15th, 2006 in Audio

Its nice for $179.99, I agree. I've heard almost any Korg midi controller is a great long-term option for studio equipment.

Not unless you specify a clear question. I'm not sure what you need help with.

Very industrious idea, I may just try that. Thanks!

I garuntee you'll draw a nicer crowd to this thread if you don't start it with "OMG".

Don't worry, we see your thread.

Chronamut

My impression? Or my first impression? I'll give you both, how about that. :D

At first, I picked up on that you were an forum oldtimer here. Everyone highly valued what you said. So did I. Then I listened to your music and found that you were justified in your distinction among the rest of us. You seemed like a nice guy that wanted to help out, a bit vulgar at times.

Now, you're still vulgar. Aside from that, i've always been able to count on to give me advise or feedback on what i'm doing, always in an encouraging way. As far as i'm concerned, you're one of the gems of the audio forum, you just happen to sparkle in a gay spectrum of color.
