thick fog isn't relevant, cause planes can fly without visual too.There are lots of thing that could have happened, but the important thing is that in poland you need planes proper equipped, or the pitot tube could have freezed, reporting a lower velocity then the real one. Pitot tubes are one of the most important things in planes, so they are a fondamental step to the routine maintenance, especially in an important travel like that. The bad new is that if the news says that it were the Pitot tubes to have freezed, then we can say that we are 10% more sure that it could have been a russian attack.
