If our nature is to survive and continue the species, then sucide goes against that nature.

But our purpose isn't set by instinct like other animals. We have a variable called imagination which allows us to make our own purpose. So suicide would be in line with our nature just as much as surviving is. I'm not advocating or admonishing suicide, in fact I agree it can be selfish and desperate and cowardly, but it's their right.

Topic: Mass Effect or Oblivion?

Posted: 12/31/07 06:50 PM

Forum: General

Mass Effect is a much more traditional RPG than Oblivion. The only thing that separates Mass Effect from other RPGs is the combat, which is much more like a tactical shooter like Rainbow Six. But your squad isn't that smart, they will often get stuck, face the wrong way, or just stand out in the open and die.

The conversation system is great, but it seems like they payed more attention to that than the other game play elements. Exploration isn't that interesting, pretty much all the planets you visit are barren and boring with the same crap just situated differently. The only locations that have any individuality are the ones that are part of the main quest.

Oblivion on the other hand is much like a sandbox game like San Andreas, in that there is much more freedom to do what you want. Even though Oblivion takes place in one little country, exploration is much more interesting because the landscape is far more varied. Even all of the dungeons and caves seemed to have been given individual attention, at least more attention than the side quest areas of Mass Effect.

I can't say that Mass Effect is a bad game, it's just not my kind of game, but I definitely enjoy Oblivion better.

Actually, they're going to do that on the second episode, or try to. Apparently there's going to be trouble because some of the kids want to kill a chicken for food, but some of the younger kids don't want their chickens killed.

Was that a Battle Royale joke?

Anyways, it was funny to see them divided into classes. Sort of a fucked up thing to teach children.

Hey that's the way of the world, besides, Sophia didn't let her status stop her from getting that bike she wanted. She did what any enterprising young woman of low class would do, she whored her self out on the street for nickels.

amazing show

The only way that's gonna happen is if Greg rapes Sophia, and he totally looks like the type. And I found it pretty funny that the older kids, Greg and Blaine were the most immature and the younger kids were the ones trying the hardest.
