The Clock Crew is a classic NG group, they aren't classified as a spam group. Plus they even have their own collection, they have their own day and they've made some pretty decent movies as well. Some submissions are spammy, but on the whole, they are alright.

yeah, of course. I wouldn't get hung up on that play button thing. The whole point of the preloader was to have a smooth transition between the loading and the icons forming the the scene selection, this effect could only be achievement without the use of a play button.

Exactly, normal collabs are good on the flash forum, but they take so long to finish and by the end, you sometimes lose interest. I love time trial collabs because it's done quickly, while everyone's still interested in it and no time's wasted.

By the way, in response to other people's recent posts, the head's up thread and PM's will be send 1 week before the main thread is posted to give you even more time to prepare and plan stuff!

Yeah, you should have seen my and 8:59PM, I had uploaded the file onto NG and everything, but because the file was 10.8mb, it took to long to upload and it went past 9PM :(

I was meaning to talk to you about that. There was a big co-author glitch, which is why Techno was co'd twice and such. Anyway, sorry you there was over 10 parts and you just missed out on getting co'd, your part was still awesome mind.

The part i cut out was the part with the vcam, that's why I took it out. I was either that or the whole part. It's the whole vcam thing which has messed things up. You've got to understand why i did it. I wanted to keep the whole part, but I couldn't

sorry man, I had to make drastic cuts on bits with vcams, in order to get the awesome scene select to work. It's nothing personal buddy, It's for the best.

There's going to be a scene selection on the main menu. But yeah, I put the part at the end anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem with attention.

But for future reference guys, here's a method of doing Vcam's without coding and messing up the screen. When you're done with your short movie, copy it all into a graphic symbol (this is so that the contents of the graphic actually plays while the timeline is moving, unlike movieclips.) Then you make the graphic into a motion tween and tween the graphic around the screen. It basically has the same effect as a vcam, alnthough it might lag out on big movies.

OK, I'm going to bed now cos it's nearly 3am. The collab is basically done, I'm just waiting for TehSlapHappy to finish his part (no pressure) and I still have to do a bit more vcam work, then me and Mattser are going to finish the preloader screen. The whole thing's going to be like 9 minutes long or something. Sorry for taking so long to put this together, I usually do it much quicker but this time there were so many more parts and they were more complicated. So yeah, it will be released tomorrow, definitely!

Also, for the V-Cam in my part. There is an invisible box, so yeah. Try and make it so the "name tag" doesn't go outside the box.

That would be really slow, unfortunately. The FLA. is like 100mb. Plus my computer is really slow at the minute, it never gets viruses, but it has a load of those free trial file converters and screen capture programs which might be accountabl for the slowness, plus about 500,000 other files.

Anyway, here's the current situation for the collab. Flash keeps crashing whenever I try and publish the file, so I'm going to have to put every part in it's own scene. Also, people's parts using V-cams are really slowing me down because I have to reformat each one so that the name tag at the top of the screen appears the right size on each one.

Hopefully it will be submitted tonight, but don't hold your breath, I still need to finish my own part.
