The Ng Animators Collab Posted August 22nd, 2014 in Collaboration

Hi NG!

ComicD here.

I'm making a collab. Not the kind of collab that everyone does a random short and I bring it together.

I am talking about a collab which features 10-15 animators. And each animator has to animate 1 minute of animation from a story I am going to write. Each part will be called a chapter.

Each animator is going to take the storyboard and is going to turn it into animation, and than handle me the . fla file.

It means that the finished product is a 10-15 minutes long animation.

Each animator is going to take a part of the ad revenue.

The spects are:

848x480

24.95 fps

Actionscript 2.0

The rules:

If you want to join send me a PM with this title: YourUsername_Join

The deadline is the 20th of November.

You can use a Vcam. It is a full animation.

Contact me only by using the Private Message form.

I only accept the .fla file.

When giving me the .fla file name it like this: YourUsername_ChapterNumber

This is open to anyone to join, but if there are to many people I am only going to choose some of them.

Voice Actors are also welcome.

Thanks.

Hey, we have been in the moon more than once and we also took moon resources. You can figure this out if you read a science book.

So I've been seeing more and more young users leaving comments like "This is not suitable for this website, please remove it" or things like "Please change the rating this is not appropriate".

Where is all this stuff coming from? I'm not just talking about my content. I've seen it everywhere.

I get that we're trying to be less of an adult website, and these reviews don't really have a big impact.
But it just bothers me how there seems to be this "standard" for a "clean" internet. Everything that slightly crosses the line, there's someone out there that gets "triggered" by it, and has to voice his complaint.

The internet is turning into a bunch of softies man.

It's simple, don't watch mature crap if you're a kid. And if there is something rated E but isn't suitable, flag that crap. Don't leave a review saying "change the rating, this is inappropriate", cause no one gives a sh*t about it.

My question is how difficult of a website is this to make? I know html, javascript, and php would be required, but is this a realistic approach for someone who knows basic html and javascript and has no php knowledge?

And if anyone knows of any tutorials for this kind of thing I'd appreciate it.

WordPress. Many mayor companies, celebrities and such use it.
Of course, WordPress wasn't created for uniqe websites.
If you want a uniqe website which can't be done with WordPress like NG I highly reccomend learning html and CSS.
Look up on Youtube, you'll find something good.
Another way is using ActionScript and Flash.

Animation Script. Posted August 12th, 2014 in Writing

Hi NG! I wrote a script about one of my animations, and I was wondering if some of you guys could help with some gags and jokes. The script I wrote is about two teens who are in the future and need to find their lost time machine so they come in the present. If you have a joke or a gag or have some ideas for the script improvements, just reply.
Any help is appreciated.
Here is the script:

Dick: Hey where were you, and what the hell has happen to the time machine?
Todd: I ate it!
(Shocked)Dick: What?
Todd: Bah, just messing’ with you. I actually lost it.
(Bored)Dick: You’re just messing with me.
Todd: Yeah, I’m-, no wait, I’M NOT!
Dick: What!
Todd: Yeah, I lost it, and I don’t remember where I left it.
Todd: Well try to remember, fast, because if you don’t, there’s a medium chance that we can get our (yells) DAMN BALLS SHOT OFF!
20 minutes later
Dick: Aha! I remember! A guy, a big guy, stole it.
Todd: Well how the hell are we supposed to find this guy?
Todd: I don’t know. Maybe there will be a big sign at a shop saying: “That big guy who stole your time machine”.
Dick: Seriously?
(With a serious voice)Todd: I’ve never been this serious!
Later
(They see a big sing at a shop saying: “That big guy who stole your time machine”.)
Todd: I told ya’!
(They enter)
Dick: Hey, you the big guy who stole our time machine, give it back!
(The big guy has a childish voice)The guy: You can only take your time machine back if you beat me in the manliest game ever made!*suspense*, Pokémon!
Dick: NO!

files into one video, which I believe is a M4a. This works great except that when I attempt to load it into any video editing software like Adobe After Effects, or even Windows Movie Maker, SO I have multiple questions, most of which will no longer be relevant if one of the others is answered.

1. Are there any good video editing software that can edit M4a?

Don't convert it to M4a, convert it to a mp4.

2. Is there anyway I could reopen swf in flash if I no longer have the project file?

You CAN watch the swf, but you CAN'T open it in Flash.

3. Is there anyway to change the output video type on Swivel?

Yes, go at "video" and change the conversion type to mp4.

4. Does anyone know of a reliable software that can turn multiple SWF's into one SWF?

:If you put multiple swf files into Swivel it converts those as one.

5. Is there a software that can convert M4a in something like avi without compromising the quality?
I don't know how to answer. Sorry.
Answering anyone of these would be a great help (especially #2) and again sorry if a topic already exists, i looked but found none. Good day to you all
