3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsHi art forum, I have a flash platform game in the works that is dedicated to the different jobs on newgrounds, and I have it so that each category gets a cutscene and four game levels. The cutscene is 30 seconds and the level length isn't specifically restricted (yet). My question is what do you think the levels should contain? should they be purely scenic, or does anyone have a short plot idea for the animator/artist section? I'm pretty open with game mechanics too, provided it can be done in flash, so you can make up gameplay elements if you'd like. Should they be themed a certain color maybe? Any response would be great.

Well what button did you press vs what you should have? The layers are in the top-left, next to the timeline. What is it that isn't working for you?

We have the art assets just need a coder to help apply them.
Please & Thanks.
I don't have like, dreamweaver and contribute or anything, but I do know quite a bit of html coding and I have notepad. If you send me the files I can try to help ya out.

I can try for teen-and-below girl voices.

There are two leaders, one that comes up with every strategy and plan and has access to a map of all routes able to be taken above and below ground and one that speciallizes in creating extraordinarally useful gadgets and weapons, that lead the entire team. The series would be an acton packed wih limitless hints of other genres. to make this come alive, i need some voice actors, charactor and backgrounds animators, and maybe a couple people to help me keep the show great when it starts. PM me or just reply to this forum if interested!
I have an irregular schedule of free time, but I can do higher pitched female voice acting, in case you have any little girls on your hunting team.

I love colabs, since durring one, I try my best, so I am wondering if anyone need help with something. I can voice act too(like everyone else here lol) capable of making a high pitch voice lol
So.. yea.
I can also draw pretty well, getting a tablet in a few days, so will be able to draw everything just as I would on paper.
Well, all of the voice acting happens during these short cutscenes, so not very much at once. Types of voices? well mostly just a regular person. Occasionally a kid, usually adult. No specific accents or anything for most of them.
As for drawing, well I could definitely use backgrounds, there are plenty of places that need character art, the game title itself could be an actual logo as opposed to just text, if you want to take any of those on in particular.
Mkay I suggest we get this into PMs if we go further.
Hey, I'm planning a flash platform game series and I can't promise a specific amount of lines yet, but I'd love for you to voice the player's character during cutscenes.

That's kind of vague. I happen to to like voice acting, though Im not experienced, and I'm female, and I think I can sound vaguely asian. Does that pique your interest?
I am in a very slow process of working on a platform game and it could use a voice actor and writer. The parts with voice are only about 30 seconds long at most, and writing is... well it's a platformer, so not too complex. If you're interested, you could PM me for more info.

No prob, I like to be useful. Just a heads up, I check my PMs almost daily, while I check forums, well like, monthly-ish. so if you're looking for me, be sure to put it into a PM.

I will probably convert to actionscript 3.0 in the near future though.

Awright I got two more surveys.
The one from earlier is about what you think are the best superpowers.
These two new ones are about where youd go if you could travel back in time, and what you think are the best and worst, and hardest and easiest jobs.
Again, no emails or anything required, only a few questions each. I got seven responses before, so thank you seven anonymous pplz. Jus sayin'.
I can verbally help you if you send me a pm with details.

Hi Kris, I have a game series in mind. It has side characters who randomly say stuff, so it wouldn't be much, but I'm sure I could find a bunch of places that need like, one sentence in there, each said by a different one. Whaddya say?
I don't have a cool portfolio or anything, but if you give me a description I'd love to do my best for ya on my tablet.

Sort your shit out.
Also don't ask for stupid things. If you want to know of an exceptionally specific visual adaption of a certain fanfiction of a certain game then google it or look into such things yourself. Do you really think it is some great thing that people are going to be taking you on for from here?
Insolent.
At 5/28/13 12:03 AM, ReNaeNae wrote: How exactly do you plan on putting all of this together? I'm assuming by 'video' you mean a swf or mp4 submission of some sort. Is that what you'll be contributing?
I can organize things, put them together, arrange them, and so on, but I do not intend to animate it in flash myself. Rather, I hope to get it storyboarded by various people, as many different ones as possible, so as to get an idea of what most people visualized while they read it. The character lines are an easier thing to do, but also time consuming and so I asked for help on that. Also, if somebody wants to get involved but doesn't want to draw, they can go for that. After character lines are all assembled, I'll post them publicly on the web in case somebody else has the same idea as me, and also so any willing voice actors will already have their scripts. As for the storyboarding, Id look wherever, youtube, newgrounds, social media, and so on for artists/animators to animate short pieces of the storyboard, hoping that overall they can cover the whole story. I am aiming for a final 3d film, but on the way there I'd be fine with 2d animation on the road to finalizing the video. I say video because based on how the storyboarding goes it could be a show or a movie.
Alright I was websurfing and thinking of the fanfic, Blue Sky, by Wafflestories, and I thought, "what happened to that audiobook anyway?" Googling it gave no answer so I don't know what happened to it. I came over to Newgrounds and thought that if it was to be made into a video anywhere, it would be on here.
Now I get that it's a load of work, so rather than look for a few good animators and a director and stuff, I want to see if theres a big Blue Sky fandom here. I want to try a huge mass collaboration, with each person doing very little work, wikipedia style. If by any chance you wanna go for it, I figure we oughta start with a storyboard, and compilations of each characters lines.
Anyone interested in storyboarding, draw it, post a link to it here, and be sure to tell what part of the story it is. I believe there are 15 chapters in all, just to give an idea. Even if it is drawn on a used napkin, or has stickpeople, that is acceptable.
Character lines means looking through the story and finding what each character says. you could go by chapter, or by character, or only one character's dialogue in only one chapter. however you want to do it. Link to it in a post and that'd be great.
Is there any collaborative project on Newgrounds to put the Portal fanfiction 'Blue Sky' into a video format? I know there was a youtube one but it appears to have died out or something. I figured if it was to be done elsewhere, it'd be here.
And by extension, I was hoping that if not, we could try to start one, but I'll save that for the collaboration forum.

So,
I'm seeking audio and graphics artists who are interested in making a game. It's, let's say,an adventure game.
The story is inspired by Bioshock, particulary Infinite, and games like that so you can expect some characters with super powers which can control stuff and like that.
The game would look something like Bioshock mobile game (google it).
The story is not yet finished but if I gather a team I'll finish it ASAP.
PM me if interested and i'll send you the summary of the game on email.
p.s.
I had a thread already but I found a programmer.
Well I have no portfolio on my profile for you to see but Id love to do any sort of concept art youd like, even if it just ends up as a visual aid to give to other artists. If you give me any description of a character or object or place, Ill draw it as detailed and accurately as I can. Anything I give you would be a .png file.
