(bump) c'mon I have the day off today and I want to get further on this thing.

I guess another way to put this is: is there a way to keep all the buttons in 1 frame at a time? If there is then i can just put the buttons back into place in each new frame with the same effects.

well that sounds alot harder then how i'm doint it. here's how i made my song 1 button:

-Make a button

-add a song to the flash library

-double click on button, create a keyframe in the DOWN section

-highlight the DOWN keyframe and click&drag the song to the button.

-then when the game starts, i click that button and the song starts. If i click it again it plays over itself (which is bad)

All five music buttons (4 songs and a stop sound) are on the same frame. And theres no animation/movie clips in this flash since it's a clip, and to not complicate things (it's my first flash) I'd like to keep it wouthout making any animation or movie clips in it.

So knowing that, how do I click song 2 button and have it stop song 1 and only play song 2? And what action script to I put for the stop music button?

I can't find how to do this right in tutorials, alright I want to do the simple sound buttons, more descriptively:

I have 4 buttons that I want to play songs when I click on them and 1 that I want to stop all the music. This is a quiz so theres no animation or sounds other than the music.

I have it so any of the buttons will play their instructed music upon being clicked (and song 1 starts automatically which I'm fine with) but I don't know how to make it so when I click on a different song button, it's the only song playing (making the last song stop, and this one play). I also need to know how to properly make a button to stop playing all the music.

I'd really appreciate the help and no need to explaine button making or how to get music files into the flash library, already done that.

-look out your window and make sure he's not watching you.

-then go in the back yard (bring some thick yet flexible gloves) and make as many piss-snow-balls as you can.

-go around the side of your house checking one last time that he's not watching out his window and head over to his car.

-stick atleast 2 snowballs into his muffler (it'll smell like piss all over as soon as he starts his car)

-step back and pelt all of his exterior mirrors, and windows (especially windows) and if you still have time/snowball(s) smeer them on his handle and/or pelt them all over the driverside door.

-bolt for home, stick inside and know that your mission was a succes. Don't watch out your window, or he'll know. The knowledge of sucess will have to be your reward.

Hope this helped your problem, but it would save alot of hassle just to T.P. him or paintball/airsoft his car.

i heard some thing on the discovery channel a while back that if we even make it through all the shit you mentioned the suns gonna explode eventually taking not only earth, but our entire galexy with it. Will do arch, it's great that there are people willing to help. Right now I'm messing around with buttons, it's reallllly confusing. sigh I should've probably taken a html class first or something. Ah well.

wow I almost forgot how full of douchbags the newgrounds bbs's are. Thanks anyways to the maybe 2 or 3 people that helped me, and to the rest of you, either A. you're a flash artist, why be so hard on someone who is at the same point as you once were, and only humbly asking for assistance? or B.You hate hentai so you decide to not help me out. I didn't say hentai quizes would be my only work, I just want to start out doing something easy, that's all. And for the guys who are flaming me about the hentai thing or how the quizes are stupid: It's a very popular fetish, if you don't like it, good for you but don't laugh at the people that do like it, that's just cruel. And to the people that just don't want to take the time to do quizes I have a colossal collection of hentai and in my quizes I plan on having them be fairly dificult questions, but with the reward of like 5 pictures a question.

I've just downloaded flash 9.0 proffesional cs3 (thee most up-to-date version) and I'd like to start my flash making with a few hentai quizes, just to get used to buttons and such. But I'm watching all the tutorials and everything seems so confusing (partly because I've yet to find a tutorial for 9.0). So if anyone here (preferably a vetran hentai quizer [I'll be PMing bigpapasmurf]) could teach me how to get a good start, or better yet walk me through making a practice quize. I would be very grateful, in your dept, and depending on how much you teach me I'll probably include your name in my first few flashes. So what do you say you war-faced flash vetrans? Amazingly that's happened to me quite often. I have very long brown wavy hair, and I always wear black shirts and jackets. I'm pretty big (210), and have sideburns that look like carpet, and a constant half shaven face (no not like half beard ^_^) So why the hell do people think I'm a girl from behind? No. Comedians that would even think of stealing jokes take a joke, and use one small detail from it, or the general concept of it and make it into a completely different joke. Mencia pretty much copies the joke and changes like 3 words! THAT my mate, is stealing.
