Response to: Why are we in haiti? Posted March 17th, 2004 in Politics

We moved troops in for a few reasons. The first being to protect our embassy and the workers there. Second, to protect the people from any violence that might break out due to the rebel uprising. We aren't there to fight on either side, but rather defend the innocent who are caught inbetween those loyal to aristide and those loyal to the rebels. Haiti has a bad problem with killing innocents every time they have massive riots like that had (33 times so far, and they still haven't got it right).

Aristide asked us for protection so he could leave without his own people killing him. Then when we got him outta harms way he told everyone that we kidnapped him so that his supporters in Haiti wouldn't feel abondoned so that maybe one day he could come back and take power again. He even went as far as to bring race into the issue, claiming the 'evil' White man kidnapped him...typical of Haiti, a country who's main goal is to find a reason to riot, kill their neighbors, or hate something just because it can't pick it self up to other country's standards.

Kyle

Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is the funniest comic book out there! It's not like most comic book with a nice smooth plot line, it jumps around and has different stories thrown in and out, mixing it up...its hard to explain, go buy one!

Response to: A question about Audio Portal Posted January 16th, 2004 in General

Well, I tried to upload some of my newer stuff but got a message saying "Error - you have been banned from uploading audio samples to Newgrounds Audio. If you feel you are receiving this message in error." I wonder why I was banned?

Oh well, life goes on...

A question about Audio Portal Posted January 16th, 2004 in General

*sighs* after a half hour of searching through the forums trying to find my answer, I am breaking down and making a new topic about it. On 05/16/2003 I uploaded one of my first techno music loops onto the Audio Portal, but have had a problem with it.

it doesn't show up in the audio portal listings, only in my profile and it is like a red box...when you go to download it it states that there is "no entry exists in the database with the id you've specified."

so, i have two questions...what is with the red box around it? is that saying that it still hasn't been screened in 7 months? also, how would I go about deleting the file so it doesn't pop up in my profile? I don't want people going there and trying to get a file that isn't there...

i'd like to post some of my newer music loops in the AP if they fix it up and make it run a little nicer. it seems a lot of people have problems with it...all things take time though, NG didn't become an empire in a day...

I don't mean to cross link, but try http://www.cyberarmy.com/ ...they are a loose organization trying to make the internet an organized, better place to live (as some of us do damn near live here)...I was a member, maybe I'll rejoin soon..if you are a really busy person though, I wouldn't recommend joining a brigade, as they keep you really busy typing code or making websites or just researching things..whatever your good at, they keep you busy at it...anywho, check it out whoever is interested in being a big net family!

Response to: Communist FAQ´s Posted May 15th, 2003 in Politics

Communism is a system that attempts to say that the reason we have poverty and people who are starving to death is because the rich bourgeoisie have oppressed the many little proletariat workers.

It works on a small scale, and was successfully managed under Stalin regime in the Soviet Union as a totalitarian communist society, but there is a much better way to describe why the underclass struggles that makes much more sense.

If you have a chance, read “An Essay on the Principle of Population” by Thomas Malthus. Karl Marx didn’t agree with Malthus, but many people (including myself) feel that Malthus takes on the economic struggle in a better way. Malthus said there was a poor, starving class not because they were oppressed but because there were too many people in this world and not enough resources being produced to feed them at a reasonable cost. He said people were poor because they basically had too many kids.

That is over-simplified, but I don’t feel like boring everyone with economic principles on a flash website…so, erm…check that out and see what you all think…I am a supporter of communism though, just with more of a Malthusian flair to it…thinking that both the oppression of an upper class and over population over shooting the Earth’s sustainability in some areas are both contributing to a starving, under class.

What I love the most is half them ad's (especially that Truth campaign) use quotes outta context and half of a quote to make them look good. I don't see how are tax money can go to this...I think maybe a war on drugs that kill (like cocaine and herion NOT weed and tobacoo) would be much more appropriate...I have never heard of a teen dying from one puff of a cigarette, so I don't understand why we get to listen to anti-tobacco crap while kids o.d. on acid every day...argh, damn gov't...i say we just revolt...
