You may use anything you want as your personal icon, as long as it isn't illegal. So, basically, yes, you can. A lot of users even use level icons that they are thousands of experience points from getting as personal icons in vain attempts to look like they have a higher level or something ..

When I was there, things went smoothly.. Try to travel around a lot. Remember to get the right shots, etc before you go and remember to stay safe. Although I know crimes are common there, I did not experience any nor hear about any during my visit. Although I heard a couple of gunshots while I was eating out somewhere.. Whatever.

Actually, those look like rather simple problems instead of some 'hard nuts to crack'. If you simply know how to factorize and expand algebra on a standard level, these should be little or no problem.
