Response to: Canada should be allowed to exist Posted January 26th, 2005 in Politics

This is a rant/long post that really means nothing and keeps going that way. Just some of my thoughts.

I apologize about the Canadians on here who are saying stupid thing like 'bend over America' etc, they are an embarrassment i must say.

I also laugh at those americans who say they can take us over whenever they want in arrogance. Sure, you probably could attack us, but i gauruntee, you'd either end up killing 60% of our population or end up killng yourselves too if you want to take us over.

Now, obviously, in the near future, there won't be anything of the such happening.

But think about it, just because we do not have the weapons you guys do, we are not as in debt for one thing and i know our countries people is very much dedicated to the country and would fight untill the end, seeing if we can arm every soldier. You guys obviously have alot more then we do both in power, soliders and weapons. However, unless you plan on obliterating a population or nukin us (which would probably harm your eastern coast or more if you consider how close Ottawa and Toronto is to New york) then you guy wouldn't be able to take us over.

This topic, in my opinion is stupid. Just read the heading... it barely makes sense. We will exist with, or without, your permission. You can't allow us to exist. We will anyways.
Ireally, honestly, do not understand the purpose of this thread.

You know, there are a hell of alot of differences betwen America and Canada. Alot. I don't think alot of people realize that. It seems some of you think we are an extension of you.
If you ever get the chance, watch Talking With Americans. It is canadian show entirely based on exploiting how little you guys (americans) know about us. If you know anything about Canada, you will laugh your ass off.

Our multi-culturistic country is entirley based on the thoughts of amity for all. You guys, as much as you like to express the same views, or more about amity for those who count. In the end, you guys will be reason for post-nuclear life. If it isn't you guys who bombs someone and starts a nuclear war, then it is someone bombing you guys for what you have done in the past. The U.S. needs to drop some like Bush and get someone like Trudea (hope i spelt that right) or in x amount of years, America will be the end for everybody.

That is going to the extreme and thinking lifetimes past our owns, but i believe it is the honest truth and only clausable view for there ever being nuclear war.

Canada, as little as you americans know, has alot more to it then a french provice (which i personally love. Alot of people don't like the fact that we have quebecers, but in honesty, it adds to our diverse nation and makes us that much more special), or the wil lfor peace, or a silly anthem (lol, it is, but i love it), or hockey. I just find it sad, for those of you fit under this category (not all), who don't know anything about us and are oblivious to who we are.

I went way off topic, but this stupid topic made me think about a lot of things. Again, read the heading, what the hell is this even about? Immaturity, it seems.

Ya, for MTV... you americans arn't about the music, but about the fame and shit.
Much Music (canada's MTV-like channel [not owned by MTV in any way]) is like 70% music videos and they have the odd MTV show. Like the Jessican Simpson one or whaetevr, which i think is over now. And then they do like interviews alot as well as the news according to the music world.
It is 10x better then MTV... in my opinion.

Well, I know i claimed nothing would come from me anytime soon, but poetry is inspiration and i was inspired to write this. It is very metaphorical and plays on words quite a bit, so i will tell you how i was inspired to write this to keep from some of the confusion.

I was talking with my mom about me moving away next spetember and she was getting a little upset about losing me and, of course, i will never come back and live with them. Alot of people do when they are just getting on their feet, but my mom knows me too well, i will struggle dearly if it means to respect of my father and to not have live under his roof. So, anyway, the poem is about me moving away and the feelings my mom will have. It was originally only one stanze, but it ended quite sad, so i added a second and gave it a happy ending expressing how life goes on and in the end, it will all be worth it. These 20 lines touch base on alot of thing: growing up, love, birth. children, getting old, death. You may not catch all of them due to the extreme metaphors, but i thought it was an accomplishment to touch so many aspects in life in only 20 lines. It also switched perspectives here there which can add to confusion... lol.

Please, give comments. I would really appreciate it.

Breath a Distant
Free Verse
By, K. Myst Williams

The furthest breath of yet to breathe;
To come and go, but yet to be
The breath of whom you’ve fallen of
The gentle heart you oh-so-love
Will always miss those and thee-
Thought not content with remedies-
As knowing what lies shall always lack
The presence of you, who -aye- fell
Shall look abroad a shoulder
And never heal with all to tell!

Though better life is a stride too long
It feels of plus whilst going strong.
Another heart of gentle love
Will breathe the breath so soon to come
Where both the fallen and the wind
Can finally heal and yearn the breeze
Of the breath who’s next of kin.
As those subtle moves fade and die
All was worth through gentle eyes
Who leads the soul to the furthest breath – My Gemini!

I have a list of about 200 different novel idea, so i thought, why not start them here. So i chose one of them called Lost in Peace and i will be basically, writing my rough copies in here as i go. This is one of the only ideas i have yet to develop a plot for, so it will be a learning experience for me, because i will be making it up as i go.

I will be starting on that early next month... that will be my next LNL project. And yes, that means less poerty and more storied from me. ^_^

Well, either way it looks awesome. I only have one thing to ask: there is like a light grey line above it, i don't really like that there. I know it is a small thing, but i'd rather it not be there or have the whole thing have a border around it. It looks weird sticking out next to the red.

True, but also, people wll eventually die off. Whether it be to age, job, priorities. With time, we will all be leaving and handing this place down to someone else. However, i do understand that it might make a big list until that happens... so i understand where you are coming from.

Well, it does put things into perspective. I really don't think it's a good idea to do at every election.

Well i thought so, simply because it shows those who are not posting at all. However, thinking about it, if you are one of the regulars, it will be obvious to you who is, or is not living up to the lists persective.

Ok...whoa... This list of posting habits WILL NOT be done every election. In fact, I may never do it again, and I would appreciate it if nobody makes a list similiar to it in the future, at least in this thread. The reason I made this list, as you can see above the list, are the words, "Dead wood." I never intended this list to show 'how much someone was regular' but quite the opposite, 'how much someone was IRREGULAR.'

Well, obviously, that is how we al ltook it. To express who is irregular and not regular. And no need to go all bold on me lol... the reply just above on one of my last comment was enough to put it into perspective for me, Plus, i didn't realize it took 6 hours or whatever it was. So i am not sure if the bold means you are angry or yelling, or what, but there is no need to get worked up.

This list was in lieu of Bob's out-vote comments. I made the list and put it in ...

Yes, i undeerstand, that is was one of those extreme times when the list was obviously needed to put into perspective some of the discussions.

Plus, I don't feel like spending 3 hours every month posting stats of people's BBS habits, for what? Nothing...really...

Well ,to put in to people face who is so irregular, but if you are regular, then you wouldn't need the list. It was just helpful for me, because i still don't know everybody and when i said that i was thinking from my shoes not from those who are already on the list. I should have thought like a voter and not a newcomer when saying that. ^_^

Am i ever glad i have been doing that the last week or so. The first week or two i was just trying to figure out what eac hthread was, the last week i must have helped 8 or 9 people. ^_^

#2. Denvish was talking about using the out-vote to get rid of "dead wood." Defining dead wood as people who are barely, or not participating at all in this forum. I consider three posts in a month not participating. You dig?

I gotcha. I understand fully now, alot of things were taken out of context i think.

Myst_Williams, I'm sitting here trying to decide whether or not you need to think about something. It doesn't matter if someone is new, an admin, a veteran, or what...If they post intelligent information, or at least semi-intelligently, then you shouldn't go on the offensive.

I just wanted to state, that just because i didn't know who it was, did not change my decision on how to reply to that topic. When i read it, i think i read it the wrong way. As i read through it, i felt as if the person was making subtle direct attacks (not at me, but to others) and i almost had a query to defend them and make sure that even though what they were saying may have been productive or intelligent, that they were approaching it in the wrong way. That last comment i made was sarcasm then rudeness, i apologize for taking it the wrng way, i way trying to say in a sarcastic way, 'think before you speak'... because i felt that he could have approached it more abroad and less angered.
Further discussing it and re-reading it afterwords, i understand where we both went wrong. I did not help the matter with the discussion, but looking back, i think it turned out for the best.

I agree that n00bs should be punished,..

Ya, like i said, it had nothing to do with who i thought, or didn't think it was. I really don't know al lthe members quite yet, so iwouldn't be dumb enough to just attack someone for no reason because I havn;t seen him before. And like i also said, i didn;t mean for it to be an attack. ^_^

On the other hand, seeing someone who you don't know that expresses an opinion is definitely a unique situation, and I think to myself, if I was in your shoes, would I have done the same thing as you did. It's definitely hard to tell.

Well, i do thank you for trying to see it from that perspective, because in your shoes i would have assumed the same... i was just attacking a noob. But, it was that at all.

Anyway, I'm glad you are expressing your views on each matter that has been brought in here as well as most of the other threads' matters. Glad to have you here.

Well thanks, i appreciate you replying to the topic like this.
