Definetely and absolutely. In fact, Noir was already using this system when the crew first started to filter out any members who would be a hazardous spam addition.
Ya, i like it.
Comittment to the NG portal, yes - So perhaps this would be a more appropriate guideline for a crew like the Blam Club? Yeah, comittment may be an important...
Ya, i get what you are saying better now and i agree. Your little comparison as to Blam club made it more clear to me what you meant earlier. And ya, i can see the logic, thought i partially agree. I am still iffy on that. However, i thin kthis clubs purposes would be better not judging lvls.
Thanks for contributing. Tossing ideas around will help this place grow a lot faster.

Go there, fill out the desired info and when yo get to a screen (probably checkmark boxes) choose which you want to download and make sure Flash MX 2004 is marked off. Then you get the trial for 30-days.

Oh, well what i meant to accomplish by asking that is simply that you kind of have to experience the faults of without a plan i norder to understand what i mean.
you confuse me myst. You say that goign bakc adding thigns and taking thigns away makes the peice un-smooth and not flow properly but isnt the whoel idea of editing soemthing to go bakc read through and change thigns round and make things better. Granted your opinion on what is betetr may not match everyone else but hey thats life.
Editing, and re-writing is two different things. If you don't plan, you end changing alot of things and it loses its flow. If you do plan, editing is quicker, and the changes aren;t as large or detrimental to the storyline. If you change something lareg because you didn't plan right, then you end up having to go through the whole novel to make sure that that smal lfact stays fluent throughout.
No offence was meant sorry If I caused any.
Nah bother. I just see it as you looking down on me. Maybe i am not fully sure what pity means. : P
Im sure it is but currently I have no ambitions to write a full novel. I need to get apst school beofre I even think about that.
Ya, but i am i nschool too. I play sports, hang-out with freinds. I am not saying you should writea nvel, that is your choice, but if you do (one day) plan o nmaking a career of it, make time to get ahead now. : )
well maybe youve been taught to paln thigns differently to me. the way Ive been taught to plan was to go into exquisite detail abotu evrythign and go over it with a fine tooth comb.
I was never taught to write, or plan. I learnt from experience and my mistakes. My very first writing course starts next month. I am excited. : )
And, yes a plan can be like that, but mine are not. One line is enough for me to develop a whole page really. However, i see now where we misunderstood each other. You assumed a plan to me was something very long and vigerous. I understand our confusion now.
the chords for music are set as the notes fit togetehr but the way the chords are played in combination with each other or the way certian notes are played can be compltely improvise, as there...
Well, i don't know guitars. But i do know pianos and violins and harps etc instruments (can't play them actually, but on my keyboard i can : P) And to me, there are many combinations, but you have to be a music god to make them fit off improv. Like it takes me hours to compose 1 song with only three different sounds. Maybe i am not musically talented, but it takes time for me to make the sounds fit, in harmony, grace, presence, tempo, strength... everything. To make it perfect, it takes lanning and alot of trial and error. However, you could very well be right about the guitars.
Im gonna give up this argument now a sI know Im not gonna win :P
I didn't mean for it to be an argument, but a discussion. I learnt a bit from you, as i hope you did from me. Hope you saw it more as a learning experience or something then an argument. That is the way i saw it. Just a discussion of intellect in the arts. ^_^
At 1/28/05 06:13 PM, -Juggernaut- wrote: Perhaps they are smart enough to only post something when it is worth saying something.
I never looked at it quite that way, and it makes sense. Plus, i am only trying to bump around ideas to create jobs, purpose and make convo in/for the thread. ^_^
Please no one get angry with me or others for coming up with ideas, even if they are bad ones. : ( lol.
At 1/28/05 06:08 PM, WhiteTiger777 wrote: Does that mean im out, because I don't have 500 posts yet? I'm working on getting more, and the ones I have now always contribute to the topic.
lol no, we are just bumping around ideas.
And Chromius i agree with alot of what you are saying, but i do feel posts and and lvl to show comitment to Ng and future comitment to the club.
Posts - I think there shouldn't be a specific number, but i do feel that their past posts should be looked into. We dont want someone spammy or a flammer and if they don't have enough posts to fully determine their BBS status as whether they are acceptable or not, then they just don't get the chance. So i thin kwe agree on that.
LVL - shows comitment to Ng, which i do belive is important getting to lvl nine is not hard, but takes a little comitment. I can see what you are saying and it is an overall good logic, but we don't want just anyone in here, i think.
I agree with you on the 'funny' part as well.
Thanks guys for replying to my ideas. Keep it up. : )
P.S. If someone gets a chance, bump the thread linked to my sig pick. I don't want to be tripple posting etc. ^_^

At 1/28/05 05:29 PM, Manic_streetpreacher wrote: even so. the whoel process of writing is spontaneous for me. If I sit and plan something then I gte bored quickly and move on.
Have you ever written a full novel?
The way I write doesnt work with plannning. I wirte what I wanna write then I go back and embellish it by adding bits and pieces maybe getting rid of other bits.
However, then it does not flow. No matter how hard you try, the fact that you went back and added thngs here and there is evident, because it doesn't feel the same as a smoothly written piece would.
I still pity you as I see planning as a boring process. I understand that is may be neccesary for writing novels etc but to me planning takes up time that could be sued geting the story or whatever down.
I am not sure what pity means where you live, but i actually take offence to that. To me, writing out the plot is the most inspirational point. Think of a painting (i am also an art student), i like to paint exresionalism (which is basically what you are refering to) i paint part of it and paint the rest by reacting off the last. However, to know how to react is purely inspiration. As when creating a plot. I react of the last thing i plotted, or planned out. Writing is different, because it is a process. It isn;t just write whatever whereever however. You have to take into concept literary types and form. Use of words and structure. So it is still inpirational, but inspirational off the overall concept, or plot.
But thats just my opinion. I know that Im porbably going to be the only one that has this opinion in here but thats fine.
Probably not. ^_^
I can accept that planning may be needed and if needs be I will jot a quick plan down that will conosist of a few notes
Towrite a good novel, it is needed. I have completed novelsin the past in the way you describe, and they weren't al lthatgreat. Iwas about your age when i wrote them too (not that means anything but that with experience comes the round edges).
but actually thinking about the whoel damned thing whilst planning it is rather tedious to me. I can not be bothered to sit there and work out exactly how to add this twist in the plot and have this sub plot develop in a specific way.
Not tedious, but passionate. Developing a plto is like expressing every peice of my inpiration and passion for the love of writing. It is developing a perfect scenerio off of another, not just for me, but for the readers i dream will read my work. And i never said i write out paragrahs. Each chapter usually conists of three lines of notes. Three sentences, depednign how much that chapter involves. Each line just jars a thought in my mind and i remember come up with the slight details a si go.
Writing is an art form and art doesnt need to be planned. Music can be created by pure improvisation as can drawing to a certain extent. I believe that writing is the same.
It is art, no doubt. It is in the genre of Arts. Music, again, is still planned. It is the lyrics that are improv (as poetry is inspirational). The base, drums, keys have to fit togethor and come with pactice and trial and error (a peice of planning).
Btw is funnest even a word?
Probably not, but i use it anyway. ^_^
