Mach speed section, mach speed section, mach speed section. Please read more carefully if you must. All your arguments have fallen apart because of your failure to comprehend my posts. And no, you don't have to manually center yourself. It always launches you out of the middle. And on occasion, it won't launch you far enough and you will fall to your death.

dear lord.. i specifically mentioned having to avoid the stone spiral loops IN the mach speed section. you imply that you attempted to ride one, which is a totally dumb move. how you survive long enough to be launched anywhere is beyond me..

I've seen certain cutscenes many times because this game's design flaws have taken away all of my lives. You can't skip certain scenes. All I can say is, if you still don't think he's the Sonic Satan, you are just going to remain wrong. Examine his character more if you must.

please stop talking as if you know what you're talking about.. i painstakingly have gone over this game time and again, beating every single sidequest and mainquest, skipping no scenes, paying attention 24/7, even gone over the frikkin wiki, and have found absolutely zero refrence to anyting devil related, save for the possible etymology behind the name, mephistopheles, and even that could be construed as him simply being evil. not frikkin lucifer.

hell, you may as well call diablon from shadow the hedgehog the devil for the way its named, or erazor djinn for looking the way he does..

Nice fallacy-fallacy. That's where you identify something as a logical fallacy and you're wrong. "most commonplace cutscene content" does in fact imply it is more common than anything else. You even have trouble understanding your own posts.

nice hypocrisy. thats where you try and fault someone for apparently doing something you yourself are at fault for. also, nice repeat of the strawman. thats where you yet again take what i say out of context and string it together as a scapegoat target to bash instead of making a legitimate effort to face what i really said head-on.

you evidently cant understand your post. just admit that you're begging the question by saying it does imply what you claim it does, because it does, when in fact it does not.

So you're trying to excuse the game for having a shitty story and cringe-worthy cutscenes. Your dismissive attitude is the sole reason why you cannot win this argument.

interim cutscenes, though needlessly plentiful, do not the majority of the story make. also, i only handwave the furry stuff, which account for less than 25% of said cutscenes. more proof you havent played the real sonic 06 instead of some fanmade knockoff.

If you're a shit driver you'll find yourself flipped over. The vehicles in Sonic 06 have little to no traction even though they seem to weigh a ton.

again, more evidence you havent played the game. i only ever use the buggy myself, outside the plot requirements, but even so, i hardly ever flip over compared to halo. traction is far better than the warthog. only time you need air, you can get it without any problem by driving over a speedup pad. otherwise, air is irrelevant.

now, the brakes on the hovercraft, they were rather underpowered. which is why i dont waste too much time on the pillars, just shooting the ones that matter in kingdom valley and moving on otherwise..

And you're wrong. Again, play the damn game. You even admitted to having a poor memory. Just say you don't remember so we can move on.

if my poor memory had gotten the better of me on anything other than that one part i spoke it in, i wouldve mentioned it there too. also, its rare that my memory failures even leave fragments behind for me to build off, so i probably wouldntve even mentioned them, as i have so little skill in fabrications i cant even come up with one sentence..

at any rate, the only narrow corridors are found in white acropolis, aquatic base, flame core, crisis city, and dusty desert.

not sure due to bad memory, but there might be a couple in radical train and tropical jungle too..

but in each of these areas, there are fewer than 8 of these narrow passages that you actually go through in one run without doing some backtracking..

It shows how lazy the devs were in making the game. And your price tag argument is completely backwards. A game that the devs didn't bother to finish doesn't deserve a $60, $50, $40, or even $30 price tag. Also, I see you're trying to belittle my argument as if I'm completely against cheats as a whole. THAT is a strawman.

you idiot, i meant the rings. the insane price in rings that the gems cost proves they deserve the godmod. and no, i was not trying to belittle your arguement by saying you were completely against cheats, i said you may as well be. there's a difference. and i threw in the "if that's your whole idea" part just in case you legitimately were against all cheats. just in case. not as a solid point.

i also agree that the game is not worth that much cash, which is why i got it at gamestop for 15-20 bucks instead of as a fairly new release.

again, the only one strawmanning is you.

Where did I ever bring up Perfect Chaos to begin with before you started talking out of your ass with this?

you didnt. i did. but you did bring up a scenario through which my comparison between it and perfect chaos' battle was justified.

The fact that you think Sonic 06 isn't broken proves you have no knowledge of gamebreaking bugs/glitches. Believe me, I know the difference between bugs/glitches and poor programming, and this game has both. It has no polish whatsoever. Sonic can literally stop dead in his tracks when he's upside-down in a loop-de-loop.

okay, you want proof i know what a gamebreaking bug is? i'll give you some. a gamebreaking glitch is where a glitch makes it not figuratively, but literally, impossible to complete the game on your current save file.

so instances like loz twilight princess, where you can screw up when using the dominion rod on the statues to get the cannon parts, (cant remember the details) or ocarina of time where you can open the doors in the water temple in the incorrect order and therefore not have enough reachable small keys in order to finish the dungeon.

both these games, though they had these severe bugs, were called good games mind you..

now, there are some who think that just because "gamebreaking bug" has "gamebreaking" in its name, they can apply it to whatever scenario under the similarly-named trope "gamebreaker" involving a glitch. they are wrong, the two aren't the same thing.

um, no. i refuse to give in to religion's insatiable expansionist attitude. they need to stop missionary work voluntarily before someone strips that opportunity from them by force.. not that im a brit either.. but i am a concerned bystander who has seen firsthand the harmful effects religion has on the human brain..

and that is why nonetheless, i cannot stand idly by while innocent people suffer at the hands of christianity..

people work themselves to death enough as is, why does the church condone such a blatant violation of the bible's word?

he that endureth to the end shall be saved, yet they still encourage people to effectively kill themselves by helping others..

and the people that are helped fall victim to indoctrination into the church so they can perpetuate this needless cycle of suffering, an effort that wouldnt have succeeded if they werent grateful for the help they received in their time of need..

this same exact type of practice is known to go down in criminal underworld, with end results that, though nearly identical, are for whatever reason far less socially acceptable..

is a suicide that is merely percieved as being charatible to others really all that less insidious than a drug overdose?

so for what its worth, i'll leave a token of wisdom. jesus himself was not perfect. he preached that we should avoid hypocrisy, then proceeded to be a hypocrite himself, by preaching that we should find peaceful solutions to our problems, then, when the people were in the temple doing all manner of wicked things, he made a whip and proceeded to kick their ass..

if the "savior" himself wasnt perfect, how then could his sacrifice be worth jack to us? how can we trust that following an imperfect example will remove our own imperfections?

this is, of course operating on the assumption that the bible was actually consisting of nothing but historical documents and valid metaphors for life in the first place, which it almost certainly didnt.

Go through the Wave Ocean mach speed section. You know that loop at the end of the first island that launches you to the next one? If the game is in a bad mood, it launches you straight into the ocean. Very seldom does human error have to do with death in Sonic 06. Now, in a good game that excuse would apply.

you just contradicted yourself again. and granted, my memory is incredibly shitty, but i seem to recall you needing to AVOID the spirally stone platform loops, not use them to launch yourself. and the one thing you do use to launch yourself, a speedup pad, is a "manually center yourself or lose rings/die" deal. not a "game being fickle" one.

You've paid very little attention to the storyline I see.

you havent seen ANY storyline i see... seriously, unless you somehow learn of it sometime AFTER sonic's resurrection, but BEFORE the final ending, there's no chance in hell he's satan. i never got that far in last story, but i DID watch footage of the ending.

You are in way over your head. Love interest is far from the most commonplace cutscene content. I would say violence is more suitable for that title. Hard to do what exactly? You never specified.

you strawman me here. when i said it to be the most commonplace content, i wasnt implying it was more commonplace than any other category of content, just that it was the greatest degree of commonplace possible.. we're not dealing with fractions or percentages here..

and yes, i did specify. its not that hard to ignore the frikkin cutscene.

I encourage this. I would applaud you if you could manage to avoid a single glitch for one stage.

great. as soon as i learn how the fuck to make a youtube video i'll do just that.

You shouldn't have to do it multiple times.

in halo you need to do it nearly just as often, seeing as every time something flipped over it got trapped in the terrain. didnt make it a bad game..

Read my post again. Reading comprehension. Learn it. I don't think anything you said here applied to my point.

"curves were few and far between in sonic 06" and "more often than not you find yourself speeding down a straight corridor avoiding obstacles" both imply need of conforming to the shape of a narrow passage. i'm telling you right now that's not the case.

It is a glitch because you are not supposed to be able to do that. You know that energy bar in the bottom left corner? The initial idea was for it to drain every time you used an extra jump. But they didn't finish the game in time. I recommend you read up on the development cycle of this game.

seriously, what does it matter? a goodbadbug or intentional, the ridiculous price tag justifies the godmodding.. dont look a gifthorse in the mouth.. you may as well be condemning the invention of cheats themself, and if that's your whole idea, i feel sorry for you...

"i'm guessing you never fought perfect chaos in sonic adventure 1. sonic cant swim in deep water without powerups in 3d, thats why he dies." Don't jinx yourself. I think you've gone waaaay of track with this bit. I have no idea why you brought this up.

because its the resulting slowdown and subsequent fall into the bottomless ocean that kills you, not the bump into the wall/platform/loop/whatever the fuck you're talking about itself...

You are in a position where you should know more than I think you do, but you obviously know a lot less than I thought you did. I think you have trouble understanding what bugs and glitches are.

you evidently are incapable of higher thought then.. i can tell goodbadbugs and minor annoyances from gamebreakers. there are no gamebreakers in sonic06. you merely misunderstand me because you cant tell what my terminology refers to, even if you think you can.

well i dunno bout actual fuzz but i did escape school security back in 5th grade.. pne day, after putting the finishing touches on my plans for school district domination, i decided i wanted to go home early, and as my house was within walking distance, i hopped the fence and bolted. about 6-10 security vans immediately started chasing my ass. i wound up losing all but one of them. as i turned the final corner, it finally caught up. i was thrust into the back seat like a sack of potatoes, but the guy decided to drive me the rest of the way home anyways.

i would never know whether my plan wouldve succeeded though, for before i could put them to use, they transferred my ass to another school... so i adapted to my new environment and began world conquest anew..

i then kept at my near successful school conquests for nearly another decade before the final one became so abusive not even my genius could handle it.. and thus i outgrew my schemes and became a realist, at the cost of suffering a mental relapse from which i would never truly recover.. true story. bit pathetic innit?

i do despise the way the fanfic genre has become synonymous with crap, so of course i wouldnt dream of attempting to release it until my story itself is perfected..

I didn't have to look for them. I spoke about the most common ones.

there are no "common" ones. you only die by glitch when your human error is at fault. whats so hard to understand about that?

You can't be this stupid.

mephiles is simply the mind of solaris. solaris is god, not satan. how is stupidity a factor?

What the hell are you even talking about?

i'm saying you havent played more than a handful of any games in the history of the world if its not easy for you to pay no mind to the most commonplace cutscene content. its not hard in the least...

You're not giving me much incentive to believe that since you're wrong in just about every part of your argument, and it is quite evident that you haven't even played the game.

you tempt me to make a lets play just so i can show you... and believe me, once i get the neccesary software and skills, i will...

You can at least flip the vehicles back over in Halo. That and the areas where you get the vehicles give you more than enough space to move around whereas in Sonic 06 they are most commonly used in areas where you go straight and avoid obstacles.

you can flip them over in 06 as well, by exiting and re-entering the vehicle with y. it takes a few tries, but it works.

That there is more proof than I need to see that you've never played the game. Curves were few and far between in Sonic 06. They were more common in the older 3D sonic games. More often than not, in Sonic 06 you are speeding down a straight corridor avoiding obstacles.

how do i need to be in a curved corridor to run curvy? there are wide open spaces everywhere.. its only in a narrow space that you absolutely must conform to the shape of the level itself, which there are few of.

Again, the game wasn't finished. What you find with these power ups are glitches and you are exploiting them. What's the fun in just going straight to the end of a stage?

its not a glitch. i merely jumped over the balls you're supposed to stand on and roll past the lasers, and kept jumping till i made it through. i didnt go straight to the end, i just took a higher, faster route as is common in all the 2d sonic games.

Where did I imply Sonic could swim? What do power ups have to do with the Perfect Chaos boss fight? Now you're talking out of your ass.

i never mentioned powerups in that sentence. i merely stated the similarities between hitting that spiral and dying and hitting the edge of the platforms in the perfect chaos battle and dying. you do so in both cases as normal sonic, under the influence of speed up alone. and yes, before you ask, im aware you fight perfect chaos as super sonic. when you have enough rings to maintain the form. once you dont anymore, you gotta stay on the platforms till you get more rings.

in that way, they are one in the same. you slow down by hitting the edge of the object responsible, then you die.

I can't speak for Overlord since I've never played it. But most games I've played don't have game breaking bugs that kill the entire experience.

sonic 06 is no exception. its bugs arent that severe. no game in the last decade that ive ever played has bugs that severe, and i, as a hedonist, am in a position to know more than you'd think..

I agree on just these 2 - first, Sonic 2006 was the only enjoyable Sonic play experience for me. EVER. I did not like Sonic 1, 2, or 3; almost EVERY sonic game has made me cringe.

the soundtrack is rocking in S2006, and the graphics were not bad at all for the time. and - it's on a NINTENDO PRODUCT! the first smart move by sega, ever.

now FF8, it went back to keeping it simple and relying on the battle tactics instead of character dynamics. for those that didn't know, 7 really relied on 'character purpose' like 6, mostly 5, kind of 4, and just basically #1 - it tried to combine a lot of things a FF game needed but instead it bit the bullet of 'unoriginality,' 'plain,' 'simple,' even "too easy." FF8 isn't bad at all, and the inclusion of the summons and the graphics for the time were a better switch from gritty steampunks like 6 and 7 - it sort of became colorful again.

now what's a game in MY mind that gets too much hate? resident evil 3. many people didn't seem to like this game, and this was actually my 2nd resident evil to play - first being 2. I noticed when I played it, it really gave me a thoughtful imagination dedicated to atmosphere and description. and fright moments - plenty of those in RE3

how in the hell did sonic 3 make you cringe? i can understand the first 2 games, but 3+k is the best of the entire series to nearly anyone and everyone.. adventure 1 and 2 tie for second best most say but... really, 3...

nope, you only find what you look for in most cases. evidently you went looking for quite a few.

just because shadow claimed solaris only craved destruction doesnt mean revenge wasnt a factor, it was still an objective. mephiles wanted the universe dead because soleanna split him up from iblis with their meddling.
Mephiles wanted the universe dead because he is literally Satan.

now who's the one fanfic-ing?

That's quite a bold statement.

it's actually quite easy if you a: like games, and b: have tried your fair share of popular titles. bold or not, its a simple task..

Tails and Rouge ran fast in previous games. And you obviously haven't even played as Amy.

tails never ran good except in sonic adventure 1... and of course i played as amy, ive unlocked last story for heaven's sake..

You'll be running in a straight line if that's where a path takes you. The hovercraft, buggy, and the motorcycle all controlled like ass. They made slippery turns, often flipped over, couldn't gain air to save your life, and their weapons were next to useless.

buggy was fine at getting air if you used the speedup pads. hovercraft was fine too, and i didnt bother with the motorcycle when avoidable.. often flipped over? no more than the vehicles in halo. warthog is actually worse than the buggy.

if thats where a path takes me? not really, i always do just fine running zigzaggy/curvy.. not that i encountered too many bugs even the few times i went straight mind you..

You need to get your head checked if you thing the green and purple gem power ups had any use whatsoever.

purple gem is the most useful of all upgrades, you can use its goodbadbuginess with infinite jumping to get through the aquatic base in record time, or get access to areas you arent meant to even visit in the world map, effectively giving you a massive easter egg. also quite good for backtracking after jumping off a high ledge, and snagging silver medals. green gem i dont really care for but its a nice gimmick.. not worth its price tag, but nice..

I'm guessing you haven't even been to Wave Ocean where you slide over the water and you have the option to run into the loops.

i'm guessing you never fought perfect chaos in sonic adventure 1. sonic cant swim in deep water without powerups in 3d, thats why he dies.

You're wrong. It harmed the others just as it harmed this game. This game just had more flaws than the others. And it mde for an overall worse experience.

you're wrong, it didnt, because people called these games the best games of all time. overlord 2 for example, glitchy out the wazoo, some parts can even force you to restart the stage/start a new save. but its still highly rated by everyone.
