that's the weird way to do it make a button select it all then right click and press convert to symbol (or press F8) once you've done that right click it and press actions (or press F9) and put the following

on (release) {
_root.gotoAndPlay(1)
}

you may want to change the gotoAndPlay(1) to gotoAndStop(1) depending on the circumstances

More users seeking voice actors need to go and post audition at the Voice Acting Club

Much of newgrounds' talent goes there, and rarely checks this place. I don't know of many regular VA's that check this topic - it's a little unorganized here.

Might I suggeszt you head to the Voice Acting Club and post an audition there. There's lots of talented voice actors at the VAC and you'll get more responses there than here.

I kind of know what you mean, but I've received great reviews for my voice demos. Even though there does seem to be someone that repeatedly blams it sometimes though. My score usually stays at about 4 but every once and while it drops down to 3.90 or something because of someone. Idk, whatever.

But it's been downloaded a few times (not much because who wants someone's voice demo?)

I think it was looked at pretty fairly. idk what type of voice acting you're posting, but if it's radioplays or podcasts or just things you think are funny, I don't think they're being "mistreated" they're just not widely accepted in the audio portal. It's for music, I just put my demo up so newgrounders could hear me, but other than that sort of thing, it's not a good place for that.

This is a flash website, ya know? There's just a lot of talented composers in the audio portal and they don't care about skits recorded and stuff.

for the most part, I think things are judged fairly.

Those cameras work really well, but if you're super lazy or can't figure them out, put your movie all in one clip, then on the main timeline you can scale/stretch it up (looks like zooming in) or scale/stretch it down (looks like zooming out)

"Inward Singing" also didn't really deserve its place. I mean, it was well done, but not anything exceptional. Anything with Tenacious D/Weird Al/Lemon Demon will get extremely high rated these days, regardless of the quality (see the accompanying collection pages for proof), which is unfortunate.

Squeakytoad is sooo right. I can't believe it. If it was submitted a few days ago and racked up its score from all the votes it will get this week, it totally would have. It probably didn't get up there yet because it had been submitted today. But it sure was great :)

when you create a document, create it using actionscript 2.0, not 3.0. That should work.

and make sure you're copying all the actions. Your supposed to copy the frame, not just the clip though. The entire frame.

Period.
It takes great skill and maturity to animate, and if you got that then it should be no problem making a story.
Even if somebody wanted a story to animate, they'd ask.

holy hell do I disagree with you. I've seen great animations, like...amazing visuals, but the worst writing ever, and I've seen subpar animations with great writing and get the best reviews. It's not always about the visuals. It's great to have everything.

Just because you've mastered flash doesn't mean you've mastered writing.

Sorry you don't have yourself an animator, but it's difficult to get someone to animate your ideas. :(

that's the same tablet I have too, but no, that didn't happen.

Ya know the white menu that comes up and the first choice is install tablet? I click that and it says loading program and nothing happens!! Ink shows up in the prefs, but not Pen Tablet and it's not in my folders either. So I tried dling the wacom software and it still did nothing. Like i said, it worked perfectly on my PC, but does nothing on my macbook pro. This is the first problem I've ever had with apple.

no, it's not installed...

If it was installed, the tablet would work correctly. When I did it on the PC, an agreement came up like installing every other software/hardware and it gave me things to edit, and it worked straight from the disk provided, but on my mac...nope. It never loads.

So I posted some problems a few weeks ago. I have a new tablet, a bamboo fun and I use a Macbook Pro with OS X tiger, but it won't format!

I insert the disc and when I click install, it just says loading program info forever, and never formats :( It's not the tablet because it worked fine on my home PC which I tried after my mac.

So I dled the driver from the wacom site, and I'm really not sure what to do. what do I do with it? it's a bunch of folders of languages :( Here's a pic of what the driver looks like when I open it up. (btw, the package at the bottom that says install pen tablet...yeah, it does nothing at all when I click it. nothing)

To start on my comedy projects on newgrounds, releasing my first in less than a month, hopefully. Then work on my solo comedy, maybe animate some of my stand up comedy.

I hope to get a major part in a play at my school, huuuge ass role that will no doubt improve my acting.

I hope to be in even double as many flashes as I was as a voice actor, hopefully getting more popularity when I release my own schtuff. Improv, playwrights festival, open mic nights, and alllllll kinds of video challenges and other shit...it's going to be a huge semester...let alone...year :) I'm stoked, and ready to take it all on.
