I'm looking forward to today's Flashes, actually. If you look through their archives, you'll find fuckloads of great Flashes from them. I'm even working on a platformer with LemmingLock.

My Voting Criteria

Concept - Ignoring all else, how I'd rate the Flashes' bare bones. If everything about a Flash is absolute shit, but I can tell that the author is aiming for something original or otherwise impressive, then they're likely to score a point or two from me.

Artistic Talent - This one pretty much speaks for itself. Flashes like Shell EP1 (which, sadly, doesn't look like it will be finished anytime soon), have graphics alone that warrant a vote of at least four.

Artistic Potential - If the art is absolutely fucking terrible, but shows that the author is capable of achieving great results, then I often feel inclined to raise my vote to 2/5, since if the author does improve, it'd be nice for future fans to have the ability to check their gradual progress from generic new Flash user to world class animator. Hell, who knows, you could have helped saved the Flash that gave a future top 50 animator the confidence to keep animating and submitting his work.

Humour - Not too important in many Flashes, but if a scriptwriter makes it obvious that he's attempting to add humour, and they don't quite hit the mark (like the so-called humour in 'Stickya Adventurya', or however Adventure is spelt in that title), then something might be taken away from the score, or vice versa.

Authors Comments - I rarely ever take the author's comments into consideration, but if they say shit like 'its gud so dn blame it plz' then I sometimes take a point off for 'telling' users about what their opinion on it should be.

And for games, two extra parameters:

Engine - If a Flash has a shitty, buggy engine, then in most cases it's not worth playing for more than a few minutes, and if it can't hold my attention for such a short amount of time, then I'll probably attempt to help blam it.

Extras - I look out for particle effects and other shit like that that in many Flashes, since if you want them to perform well, they're often quite complicated.

It varies from operating system to operating system, but this shows how to do it in Windows XP:

C Drive -> Documents and Settings -> *Account Name* -> Application Data -> Macromedia -> Flash Player -> #SharedObjects -> *The one folder, whatever it's name is* -> Uploads.ungrounded.net -> 492000. When in there, delete the folder relevant to Sonny 2, and open up the game again.

If someone was to really give up their modship and have another user take over, then no matter who the mod was, I'd be massively disappointed if it didn't go over to Bahamut. He deserves a chance for a place on the mod team more than pretty much every current mod, and unless he's turned down the position in the past, then I don't see why he isn't one already.

What Ehwaz said, but the score required for a blue highlighting is 3.5, rather than four. Since people's votes on under-judgement Flashes are far higher than they used to be, I think that they should raise the bar, though.

Tip to everyone who are playing Sonny 2: Make sure you have both allies enabled before starting the level in which you recruit Felicity to your team. If you don't, the level will not be able to start, probably because it relies on dialogue that contains each character.

From Sanjay's newspost linked to in the medal help thread and Wylina's newspost:

---------- DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ---------- - 25 pts

James-R - Hold tab until you reach the end of character select and a movie will appear. You can access this by hitting ENTER, since if you move your mouse cursor it seems to disappear. See picture at bottom to see this hidden movie.

---------- TIGER NIPPLES ---------- - 25 pts

Gel - Click on the nipple before he smashes his X-box controller, and just before the end of the scene, click both nipples again. Some people claim this is how they earned the Tiger Uppercut medal.

---------- TIGER UPPERCUT ---------- - 25 pts

TomFulp - Forward, Down, Forward, Up with the arrow keys whenever Ryu is in front. Thanks for the help everyone. I didn't have to do this to get the egg hunter medal.

---------- TURTLES ---------- - 25 pts

Johnny Utah - Click the turtle about halfway through the scene where you see it balancing on top of two glass bottles.

---------- YODELAY HEE HOO ---------- - 25 pts

Stamper - Click the dick 5 times, towards middle half of scene. If you missed clicking the first time, keep holding TAB, and a little later on you'll have another opportunity to click and get this medal.

---------- ONO BONERS ---------- - 50 pts

Chakra-X - Click the unconscious girls' breasts and ass, next part click her thigh when you see the white spot. Then click both boobs again. There are a total of 5 clickable body parts. You will hear a sound effect as you click each one. Again, hold TAB if you need help locating these.

---------- BLOODSHOT ---------- - 100 pts

Play All - Watch the entire intro, Click on PLAY ALL in the select menu and then sit back and watch. Make sure you also sit through the entire credits section too otherwise it might not award you this medal.

--------------------------------------

---------- EGG HUNTER ---------- - 100 pts

You will need to find all 5 hidden movies to unlock this medal. They don't necessarily need to be in any special order, just as long as you get all of them.

1. PigPen - Click Blanka right as he's electrocuting.
2. MexicanMuffinMan - Click the menu sign behind the waitress's head. *
3. BiffTheTimid - Click the skull and crossbones at the health meter at end of scene.
4. Egoraptor - Click the mustache.
5. Domestic Violence - Make sure you also view this movie too. Instructions are listed above for the Domestic Violence medal.

Make sure to read both sources before asking questions about medals in the future, as you are more than likely to find help straight away.

I agree with your idea of adding a nicer background, but I'd advise against light blue, since so many sites are using it at the moment. If you want your site to stick out, then it's best to make it look different from existing sites. You'd best try out a few colours, but if you formatted it formatted everything else well, then I'd think that navy/dark blue could look pretty decent.

I'm not great with HTML, and I know little about styling, but I could give you some help with some simple stuff, so PM me if you want a little bit of assistance with simple tasks.

This is completely true. Back around it's time of release, many people were asking what special purpose the system had, and some people were disappointed that they didn't add experience, but despite this there haven't been any changes, and there probably won't be any in the future, which is something I'll be glad about.

Another question that constantly pop up over in Wi/Ht?. You need to have 'Contributed to the site', meaning that you must have either a Flash or audio submissions of your own in the portal, favourite someone else's flash or audio submission or create a newspost before they are displayed. They'll probably be added to the list of things that count as contributing soon, to avoid this problem.

Well done with those points, but you're going to need another 6500 odd medal points to get on the lists, and the chances are that by next week you're going to need far more than that for a place.

Log your stats on NGLog, and work at the games in /gameswithmedals, and you may someday reach the top 50.

Talking of abusive Flashes, look out for the following author's future submissions. The menu looks extremely professional, the title it has been submitted under is different to that within the Flash, and it can't play, probably because it is trying to load external content from the site that it was taken from. Since it isn't working, the only thing can be proven as stolen is the menu, but it shows that the author has stolen Flash, or is likely to steal Flash in the future.

I'd recommend LiveSwif or Alligator Flash Designer. Just Google them or something, and you should find links to download them legally for free.
