For uber sigs make a request on Studio 54

check out the graphic showoff forum to decide which sig artist you'd like to make a request from. then make a request on the graphic request forum.

if that works try this code

totalImages = 0;
for(i=1;_root["image"+i] != undefined; i++){
totalImages = i;
}

its a little difficult to know whether that will work without knowing the rest of the code but if you have a good understanding of actionscript you should understand the direction i was trying to steer you in. Hopefully that works.

yeah I know what ur saying... the thing is that Im loading the pictures into the flash... there is no way to browse the sorrounding folders and check if the images are undefined as far as I know.

Picture Gallery AS help Posted November 17th, 2005 in Game Development

My Gallery

so I programmed an art gallery to take the pictures in the same directory as it and display them... (so long as the images were named image1, image2,image3 and so on).

but the problem is I dont know how to auto detect how many of those images there are

does anyone know a way to auto detect how many pictures there are under these conditions?

At 11/15/05 08:17 PM, backup wrote: What exactly is an object-oriented language? Like, what makes it different from non object-oriented languages?

lol non-object oriented launguages...

object-oriented programming is when you program different scripts called objects. These objects are independant. You then make instance's of them and let them interact with other objects.

An example of an object would be like... object "Tree" or object "Apple" both of these have independant programming that through the main code can affect the other object. So say the tree withers... then the apple falls from its branches...

I hope that helps...if not...

you've got decent art just go find a good programmer to work with you (post that boss as ur sample).
ActionScripters don't usually work FOR the animators, usually the animator works FOR the ASer.

meh, thats bullshit it can just as easily go the other way around. He should atleast try.
