living religiously also greatly hinders the philosophical part of your brain.
Nothing in writing. Only logic
think about it mate. There are very few real laws in this world. Then there are conceptual laws which we (men) create. Being religous is basically saying that these conceptual laws are the laws of the universe. Religion is a cage. Athiesm is realising that these laws are in fact conceptual and not allowing limits to your thinking.

yes but this was only because being openly atheist back in most of those philosophers times meant death. In fact Socrates was sentenced to death for denying the existance of the gods. It's been debated whether most philosophers in ancient times were truly religious or secretly atheist.

Discuss.
Also this is all bullshit.
The fact that he didn't provide a link basically proves that there was no such study.
I'm an atheist and I gotta say that not being bound by a religion gives me a sense of freedom. The only real laws are the laws of the universe my friend. It's up to you which conceptual laws you want to follow.

cmon somebody help me...
does anyone have a link to that clip where Dr Kelso gives that speech to his fat patient? "Nothing in the world worth having comes easy".
I've looked on google video and youtube and neither have it.
does anyone even know the name of that episode?

time i'm supposed to be there.
So lately my bus has been late to pick me up. I don't mean late as in several minutes, I mean late as in 10-20 minutes every day. Anyways today I go out at the regular time and the bus just drives right by my stop. Doesn't stop at all.
This is fucking ridiculous my bus driver is the biggest fucking idiot. I hope they fire him.

whats wrong with that?
Gears of War may be gory but that does not equal what happens in quake 4. We're talking about hideously deformed marines with all thier organs removed... jesus I mean half the enemies you fight are humans that have had machines welded and fused to their bodies.
I've played postal 2 and gears of war and seriously they don't compare at all.
Seriously... I've played some violent games in my time but this is the first time I've ever gotten an upset stomach over a video game. It wasn't too bad until the only level where you watch you own legs get chopped off by a rust spin saw. Then you start seing shit like humans with thier chests ripped open and held open. Humans being kept alive with thier heads chopped off... It's just fucking ridiculous
Why would a game ever need to be this disgusting?

I was always under the impression that your class only determines which stats you start with. you can max out in all areas as any class.

They got to where they are now, by sucking admin/mod dick.
just shut up. I'm not the biggest fan of the mod/admin's myself but there's no need to be such a baby over something like this.

I'm really trying to lose my gut but i'm not sure how long that will take.
so anyways the question is at 40 minutes of cardio a day how long will it take to lose my (very small now) pouch and what are some things i could do to speed it up.
I meant 40 minutes....

Is Newgrounds Congress?
make sure you know what you are talking about before you try to make intellegent posts.
shut up you idiot
Newgrounds banning or blocking you for using obscene language in no way violates the first amendment.
why? who cares if people get offended?
just don't listen to it.
people are always asking the government to censor things for them
how bout growing up and learning to take some personal responsibility.
why would anyone want to be a mod?
it's like having a job. only you aren't payed for it.
http://mods.moddb.com/3449/tremulous/
forgot to mention that it was winner of MOTY (Mod of the Year)
theres also a trailer at that link
a free standalone quake 3 mod.
tremulous offers a cross between real time strategy and first person shooting. Allowing you to construct and defend your own bases along with other people on your time.
definently worth the download.
well if it's on the PSP then of course it will fail.
At 1/14/07 09:17 PM, Champigne wrote: Does it seem better than windows or osx?
in certain ways. theres a command called apt-get install (program name) where you just type that into the cmd box and it will automatically find that program download it and install it if it's a popular program (gaim, firefox, ect.). Plus fluxbox is much more managable than windows.
typing from it right now. The internet seems to be running much faster.
I'm using something called "fluxbox" (not entirely sure how to use everything yet because my friend installed it). I have a dual boot and can use windows and linux at will.
Having a hard time getting tremulous (standalone quake 3 mod) to run. My friend says thats because I'm missing some vital libraries.
any advice is welcome.
