Why do you care, really?

I read on and on in the conversation and it got more and more pointless to argue with him. The differences to most people are barely important anyway. Just forget about it and find somehting better and easier to argue about.

Well I guess I just really want him to understand the difference between an indoor FPS engine and an outdoor FPS engine.

Haha, lets not turn this into a fanboy argument. I don't see why I have to pick genres. I'll just name a couple games:

-Breakdown
-Halo 2

I suppose you have a defense waiting for Halo 2 since you knew I would say that.

nah I'm not going to bother typing out an argument. I'll just say that the GPU of the GC is superior. and don't let the MHz throw you off because it really has nothing to do with the GPU since it just serves to multiply that number.

You're an idiot

all though the popular belief is Xbox>GC>PS2 the gamecubes is actually more powerful than the Xbox. The Xbox just has more RAM than the GC, which is why when there was a game for all 3 consoles, the Xbox usually has the best looking version.

BUT! the truth is that the gamecube has a more powerful core than the Xbox and when a game is being developed for the gamecube alone (Zelda, Resident Evil 4), the gamecube can produce a level of graphics that the xbox can't achieve.

haha and it was the cheapest system.

Half-Life 2 on the Wii Posted February 20th, 2007 in General

actually it's a PC running the Half-Life 2 using the wiimotes sensors. The people behind the Wii Linux OS have found out how to use the wiimote with PCs and they've managed to set a up a control scheme that will work with most FPS's with it. However the person behind this mod has taken it a step further by actualy editing the HL2 engine to guns tilting and such

Another Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFa-Dusew0U

note how the nunchuck is used to throw grenades. it's sadly pulled off better than in any official Wii games. (IMHO)

1. games run slower

2. in order to use an upgrade copy you have to first install xp (you cant just pop the xp disk in to prove you have it)

3. if you forget your user account pw your fucked (locked out of your computer entirely)

4. if you upgrade your system too much vista considers it a new pc and you have to buy a new license for vista

5. you can only install vista on one pc

6. UAC prompts pop up everytime you click on something related to the system or security (they can be disabled though)

7. ultimate edition (which is the only one worth getting) costs about 500 bucks

8. ridiculous compatibility issues with existing hardware and software.

9. upgrade copies have so many problems

10. 99% of it is gimmicky features like the aeroglass

Religion is NOT benificial to our species any longer. We are in an age where we are finding scientific answers to things and no longer need fairy tales to explain the unexplainable.
Explain the universe existing.

I will when you can. Wait you're going to say "God created it" right? well then who created god? "God was always there" right? then why can't we say the universe was always there and that god never took a role in it.

Religion in our modern age will only serve to cause wars and provoke hate.
Watch how you use that. It's been a long time since Christianity started any wars.

yes but back then it was benificial. It no longer is.

Religion cannot survive, it will be slowly killed by social evolution just like racism, sexism and all other forms of hate.
1. Racism and sexism still exist.

I never said they didn't, I just said that they were doomed to die eventually.

2. Most religions, followed properly are loving and peaceful, and are in fact not hateful. It really is a minority that are violent due to religon.

No matter how "peaceful" a religion is it can still provoke agression. Like you right now, you're lashing out at me without even considering that your "religion" encourages you to be passive. The point is all religions tend to bring conflict and eventually hate.

Religion will eventually die out Posted February 10th, 2007 in General

Social Darwinism

Before I even get into religion I wan't to talk about the evolution of intelligent species in general

When I species first develops intelligence or a higher level of consciousness the species will start to have ideas. The species will start to have opinions. Opinions will conflict, and that will lead to killing.

^I hope that even Christians can agree with me up to this point

The intelligent beings will start to realize that they have to start developing conceptual laws (not true laws such as gravity but laws that people consent to for the greater good) in order to prevent themselves from exterminating themselves. They will agree to these laws in exchange for thier safety and eventually these laws will become bound to the beings and become "Morals".

Now these morals are still conceptual, they aren't truly laws. However they will become the same as laws to the being who has had these morals beaten into their heads since they were little. Everyone in the world will grow up knowing that murder is wrong, stealing is wrong ect. Now that these morals are bound into our society, people who do not have these morals will be seperated from normal society.

Here is where Social Darwinism come in. The normal theory of evolution states that the stronger survive live to breed and make the species stronger while the weak die. Social Darwinism is similar only it states that those who's mental mindset does not benifit the species will die, while people who think in a way that will benefit the species will breed.

The morals we have developed are simply there because it most benefits our species as a whole to have them in place. People who don't live by these morals are put in prisons or killed. Things that don't benefit humanity will die out.

Hate will die out

Now here is where religion comes in.

Religion is NOT benificial to our species any longer. We are in an age where we are finding scientific answers to things and no longer need fairy tales to explain the unexplainable. Religion in our modern age will only serve to cause wars and provoke hate.

Religion cannot survive, it will be slowly killed by social evolution just like racism, sexism and all other forms of hate.
