This image is the latest in the series. The third drawing is currently a work-in-progress. When it's complete I will upload it to Newgrounds and my deviantart account: http://museismymuse.deviantart.com/

Maybe have the image zoomed out and show that the toys are shoved away in a corner of a child's room and the child has clearly grown out of them. Maybe have one of the toys just laying awkwardly to its side, forgotten, rather than standing up. Collecting dust. Stickers peeling away. Yeaah. There are heaps of things you can add to this to make it more poignant, but good start!
Thank you so much for the suggestions! I'm working on a drawing right now where the toys are on a table waiting in a garage sale to be adopted. Some of them look sad and some hopeful. This new piece agrees more with the title. I might draw one of them laying on their side like you mentioned. Thanks for the idea!

This was based on a still life drawing for my art class. The still life inspired my decision to do an entire collection of art work on toys because drawing them is so fun & I liked how it turned out.

It is! I love that racoon! :)

Interesting Idea you have here I see....I really love the shading in your work.
I would like to see more from you
Thank you! I think shading is the most important element in art. I hope you do decide to check out my work. I will be updating on Newgrounds!
"Toys Waiting for Adoption" is an ongoing series I am working on. Comments are very welcome, especially since this is an ongoing series I am working on and input could be very useful to me at this time for future drawings.
