But as far as mastering goes.. beyond the basic mastering settings I have no clue.. but If you are putting together an album, I advise using waveburner after you have them all how you want them (pre master is fine as waveburner has several mastering setups that you can use) and it makes it easy to get a consistent volume across all tracks.... thats the extent of my mastering so far...

oh and if I ever get my studio license (I will soonish!) at my programs school studio (ballin euphonix studio with a buttttload of outboard gear all hd) then ill probably end up sending lots of tracks through the ultra-maximizer :3 just because its so schmexy for the final mastering.( outboard gear)

Okay.. so if it is clipping in garageband.

You need to either bring everything down (master track) or compress tracks that are peaking on you(or both) and if need be you can compress the whole puppy.. of course this sort of compression will mess with your levels, and funk up your sound a bit. so you will have to tweak it to make it work. If you lower it all down a lot.. and one thing is kicking up and clipping.. that is what needs compression. It'll even out the sound more so you can find a suitable volume.

compressing/limiting the whole thing(in the master) will prevent clipping.. but will really affect the dynamics poorly.. as in you will have some really crushed sounds that were intended as louds..

You could normalize in audacity afterwards to ensure that its as loud as it can be without clipping.
(if you already clipped in GB this wont help though.

Ableton live is great for beat matching, creating loops, and syncing/mixing together songs. My friend/suitemate just finished a mashup of 400+ popular songs. Its pretty epic, and sounds amazing. He made it for use in his DJing sets. Ableton has lots of built in effects.. but to me, what really sets it apart, is how easy it makes time stretching music.

I'd love to enter in this as a sound design/audi/composition guy. I just finished a course in sound design, mixing, and recording. I have experience in all 3 and also can do composition and foley if need be. My flash experiance is very limited and I would probably be little help in that regard, though I do have several ideas for game concepts that I feel would not be too miserable to code.

As for sound design or audio, I'm your guy. I have no clue with programming this stuff, so cant help you there. But any audio you need, including composition; that I can do. I just took a class in sound design, have been working and improving my mixing (via class and solo) and though my newgrounds portfolio is small and dated, I'd be down for a project. I wont do shoddy work i promise ;)

This is something I made in audio electronics class which I hope you all don't mind me sharing.
My lab partner and I made a midi pan pipe... Despite how he does all the talking(he wanted to make the video) I did all the coding, the wiring was pretty easy, and I put the setup together.. So...
Anyways... here it is. Its really poorly made, someday may revisit with better materials and make some more useful midi stuff. If any of you have ideas, I'd be glad to give them a try. I need to buy an arduino chip microprocessor :3
