Well if you are going authentic, I would say use sprites. (I mean, whats better for an NES remake than the actual sprites of the characters on the NES)

I try to see it like that when I draw stuff. Since most projects will take a lot more than 1 sit down to start and complete (you would hope). Each time you look over your stuff it will probably look stupider and stupider, but you know. It made you laugh or feel in some distinct way at one point, so its best not to give up.

Well what I really meant is how I can get a proffesional look to it. Like I hear other people talking about doing a flash in 3 hours and getting a 3.0 for a score and there graphics dont look like crap the only thing is that its short but then its about as long as mine.

Here is something that has taken me about 8 hours. I just have sucky artwork.

My stick flash

Spend time drawing. Most people aren't just born with it... and those people that are. Well I have a finger I'd like to show them.

But with time spent just drawing you will learn to get stuff down faster. Meaning that you can do faster FBF sequences, and eventually get one of those "3.0 Scores in 3 hours" things goin on.

While at first it will seem tedious, even just drawing stickmen a lot. It will pay out in the end. (Much like that Boss Battle thing on the front page currently, or the Castle series)
