It's been over an year since I've worked with actionscript on FLASH. That mean's I haven't really used actionscript 3. My question is do you guys use Actionscript 2 or 3? I want to work with actionscript 2 because I still don't understand actionscript 3, but is actionscript 2 dead already?

Face it, when you're animating your movie you sometime are not in the mood for it. Sometimes to get into the mood, i will watch a favorite animation of mine like NG Horror Show or one of David Firth's animations because I really respect their animations and love their style.

What do you tend to watch when trying to get into the mood?

How to make a button where you click it and it just shows a sentence and stays there. I use this code.

hitbox._visible = true;
_root.score -= 25;
}

But for that i click and release and it disappears.

I also tried changing press to release, same effect.

I have a hint button where you click and it shows a hint and -25 points is deducted. Once you click it, you see it, but when you let go of the mouse, it dissapears. If the person didnt read it, then he/she would have to do it again and lose another -25.

my question is how can you make it stay once you press it?

i try adding negative twenty five (-25) but it only adds 25. how can i minus?

So I just want to make sure. If i use a downloaded font that most people dont have, will they able to see it? It's in static. that's including if i make it into a button.

Making a 3rd trivia. I know how to do show scores when you get right or wrong. What if you want to add a hint button where you click and it deducts a portion of your score and shows you the hint?

So im using this sound. I import it and play it on Macromedia 8 Library, it plays the whole way. I put the sound on the timeline, and it cuts halfway. I check the other sound files, and it doesnt do it. I tried converting it from mp3 to wav, and it still happens. Any idea?
