Response to: NG Manchester Meet 2011 Posted November 29th, 2010 in General

Manchester is a 10 minute train journey for me, so I have no reason NOT to go.. So yes, 100% certainty from me... Though I don't know of any arcades in Manchester!

For the 48x48 and 32x32, please try removing the cd glow because I think it'll make the t more readable. And for the 16x16, maybe try removing it from the circle? Not sure, but really good work!

I've probably gone WAY off track now... but heres one more revision from me. Consider this my official entry to the contest =D

Ok, heres a revised version. I'm not so keen on the 32x32 and 16x16 versions... but hopefully you get the general idea.

Sure thing dawg. I'll try a revision tomorrow. Perhaps smaller icons would look better with a smaller center, and perhaps the iPhone version with no disc... only the disc texture, to fill the iPhone's application "pill" shape.. Anyways, I'll get on it.

Alternate lyrics and silencers, I can take...

But when the entire song is replaced with the offending lyric reversed, every 3 fucking seconds.. its more than distracting..

Response to: Wide Layout Update 2 Posted May 29th, 2009 in NG News

The biggest issue I have with the new wide layout is not how the flash is displayed, but how the comments and text are now. I feel that its now spread out way too much, so its a little more tiresome to read.. Sites like Youtube and Deviantart keep their text contained within a small column even though their main content is quite large.

The best thing about it all though isn't particularly the wide aspect... but the fact flash movies are now in-line. I feel like thats something we've needed for ages... We could perhaps promote keeping the site tidy though, by emphasising the use of preloaders, and/or perhaps providing authors with a greater range of them?

Keep up the good work!

Response to: Rev Share and RSS Posted April 15th, 2009 in NG News

So what happens if you generate revenue with an account full of parodies and sprite movies?

Is the revenue you generate from that legit, or is it in breach of any laws of any kind?

If so, will there be any way in the future to specify which specific flash submissions are included in the programme and which arn't?

I love the new focus upon the user, it'll really make peoples eyes pop out when a well known author decides to post a review. I dont like the giant review score though. Its far far too prominant, and would be better suited as the movies score (which is now dwarfed in comparison!), I feel its all quite chunky. I've attached a litle mockup of how I reckon it'd look better :)

Perhaps what you could do is emphasis the competitions and rewards you can achieve on this site. Perhaps create an extravagent page for competitions, on par or possibly exceeding the quality of the staff page. Perhaps give the page background and one or two site assets some subtle tweaks. Create a creative buzz about the whole thing.

Although you've got a news summary in the top left of the site now..... text still doesn't quite cut it for something this epic!

NG logo copyright infringement!? Posted June 24th, 2006 in General

This is an email I've just sent to the fulps.
_____

Tom and Wade

I thought this might be important to bring to your attention. On TV tonight, I saw an advert for a HMV (UK
music and film store) Summer sale, the design of the whole advert designed around what appeared to be an
excat replication of the Newgrounds logo. The background featured an orange and yellow spinning radial
stripe design, whilst the black silluette of a city skyline was displayed infront. I've looked on HMV.co.uk, and
this appears to be a full marketing campaign. I've included a banner ad from HMV.co.uk.

I hope this infomation is of some use.

...because I think it sucks ass
