Response to: Best Actor of All time Posted January 16th, 2005 in General

You can't rate actors overall, you can only rate them by performances.
Guys
1) Kenneth Branaugh in Hamlet (in theater or movie)
2) Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction
3) Al Pacino in Scarface and Godfather (3 not included)
4) Kevin Spacey in the Usual Suspects (He's my favorite all around male actor)
5) Marlon Brando in Godfather
honourable mentions: Cleese in Monty Python and Simon Pegg in Shaun of the Dead
Women
1)Julie Andrews - Mary Poppins
2)Audrey Tautou in Amelie
3)Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca
4)Kathy Bates - Misery
5)Audrey Hepburn - Roman Holiday
honourable mentions: Carrie-Anne Moss in Memento (it's popular to hate her nowadays, but you can't forget her work in this wonderful movie) and Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs

am I right or am I right?

Response to: Msnbc=Stupid Posted January 12th, 2005 in General

Thanks for the laughers, it was meant to be somewhat humourous.

Still, there is a double standard in the media when Sept 11 takes up front page for over 3 months for 3000 lives. Then 150,000 die, and we give it 3 weeks.

Response to: Msnbc=Stupid Posted January 12th, 2005 in General

Sure it's news, but is it newsworthy ?

Yes, I'm well aware of their journalistic responsibilities. However in a world populated with billions of people (10 being a minute fraction of the total) A loss of TEN stock points could have a greater global effect than this trivial news. MSNBC is just capitalizing on the 'MOTHER NATURE GOES WILD' vein of fear that is all too popular with the media right now. I swear, a guy could slip in some mud and die, and they'd be like: OMFG, mother nature strikes again!! It's not front page news and never should be.

Response to: Msnbc=Stupid Posted January 12th, 2005 in General

yeah, it kinda bugged me.

Msnbc=Stupid Posted January 12th, 2005 in General

Yeah look at the Nsnbc front page right now. Some number of people die, and they put it on the front page. No mention of the tsunami on the front page. None at all. Oh well, that's life thought some of you might find this interesting.

a) Bribe the dog-- have a bag of treats and throw them around.
b) do it under the sheets?
c) hold the dog in your arms and try to get it on nonetheless.
d) put him in a wicker basket.

let me elaborate. this is not a service for you to use and throw around. it's not yours to complain if your signature pic is late. these guys are doing a FREE service. you can't rush them. so please, sit back in your seat, and wait in line patiently like the rest of us.

btw Axe, I feel your anger.
