Base09 Action Title

Enjoy. I do appreciate any notice of rough edges or errors in my music. So far the song just seems like a build up and a resolution albeit an abrupt one.

Heroes Wear Gloves

Have not been around here in awhile. But I like music so I think i'm gonna stop by and deal out a few reviews and post up some music.

This piece may sound a bit familiar at some points. It was partially inspired by Gauntlet Legends. Just some vague memory of the title song I think. Got sick of recording it over and over so I just chose a take after a few months of the piece just sitting there. Hope y'all enjoy.

Response to: any good fighting music? Posted April 22nd, 2006 in Audio

Fight music, that is a very general quest. You got to start asking yourself questions, what kind of music would best contribute to the scene, and if there is one, to the story of the fight.

Fight music can be many things, you could have a fiht going to the moonlight sonata. But there are some fights where that peice of music would seem awkward.

Then Aegis Decay. Maybe because Of the genre I put it in. I dont think it even belongs in techno, but changing things is something this site does not do.

Dude! I know who chunga daddy is. They do that MeanJob song, which was exactly my predicament for awhile. Then I got a damn job. Hey ChungaDaddy has some good stuff.

Also, look for random stuff out there!!! Not just at the people who post on the forums. You might pass up some awesome music that way.

Check out the soundtrack for The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

Ennio Morricone/Hugo montenegro

And just look around on the audio portal or elsewhere for songs that fit the theme you are looking for.

This should totally be a flash animation! Where artists from the AP can showcase their songs n stuff with a little humor in between, and dancing all the time!

That was great.

Um you can try, reason, Fruity loops with Vstis and there is one that MaestroSorrow mentioned in an earlier thread. Some EidelosPersonalOrchestra? There are a bunch more. Some other people might know better.

Also look at the pinned threads at the top of the forum.

Response to: What does compression do? Posted April 5th, 2006 in Audio

Oh well its about reason, I want to know how to pan instruments.

I havent really fiddled around with that yet so any direction would be appreciated.

If I have any more questions I guess ill start another thread.

Response to: What does compression do? Posted April 4th, 2006 in Audio

Hey you know what, thank you all for the replies. I have learned quite alot more than I knew previously about mastering. I probably still have bunches to learn :) but this is a bitty step foreward.

Response to: What does compression do? Posted April 4th, 2006 in Audio

Thanks man. Ive been looking for a cleaner sound on my songs. A way to get em oomphy but not too oomphy. Ill fiddle around with compression.

What does compression do? Posted April 3rd, 2006 in Audio

I have always been curios what compression actually does in a song. I assing it to one fo the instruments in reason and it changes the sound a bit, but what exactly does it do?
