Today, we can reveal that the actor voicing Carl Johnson in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be none other than Young Maylay, an up-and-coming musician from Los Angeles. Speaking exclusively to Official Playstation 2 Magazine USA, Dan Houser, director of the game described Maylay's voice as "powerful". The same article from the magazine also features an interview with Maylay himself, where he was asked how he came to be involved with the game.
"Actually, it was through DJ Pooh. He's been a producer forever...I was introduced, then the Rockstar family picked me up...I didn't know that Dan was listening, and I guess he was getting the idea about me being the voice right then."

right from gtagaming.com, When Rockstar revealed yet more character artwork on Saturday with the launch of the San Fierro section on the site, it became clear that two of Vice City's lesser known characters are to return. Jethro (voiced by John Zurhellen) and Dwayne (Navid Khonsari), worked at Vice City's boatyard, and appear to play a similar role in San Andreas. The scale of their part remains unknown, but voice actors are likely to return.
