Let's do it!

Lol check the "under judgement' movies. It's already uploaded.

I wish I knew what the problem was but I don't use After Effects. :/

Please reply, with any Voice Actors and Newgrounds Music submission, you used in your piece. ( Even if you have messaged me with them )

Well, the voice actress in my part wanted to be credited as "Caitlin Buckley" without the quotes and all music in my part was made by me.

That's good to hear. I can't wait to see everyone's part. Toon Boom literally crashed mid-way through exporting and that's what taking me so long, haha.

Response to: Halloween '14 (girl In A Room Ii) Posted October 28th, 2014 in Collaboration

Ok, After I add background music in my part and export it as an mp4 file I'll send it to you. Toon Boom just has a long export time. Hopefully I can make it in time.

At 10/27/14 09:15 PM, ReklessCreati0n wrote: .swf or .mp4 are acceptable submission formats.

Adding sound to flash is easy, just drag and drop your sound into your library, then on the frame you want your audio to start you'll look at the "properties" window and it'll say "Sound" just select the sound file that you imported, then change "event" to "stream" to sync up your animation.

My way of doing it-

Make the audio file in Audacity, import voice files, then sort them accordingly. Add sound effects and music, and voila' I have a sound file to animate over. If I need to make any changes, I just update my sound file and re-export/import.

Awesome, I guess I'll be using mp4 because I use 3 layers of sound in my projects. Voice acting, sound effects, and background music. They each aren't three big files either so that's why I can't just use Audacity to combine them. They are initially in small sound files. After this project I'm going to learn how to put them all in one layer so I can import it into flash easily using the method you mentioned.

Again I'm so sorry for letting you down, it was beyond me :(

Sorry to hear that and I hope you feel better.

This is my first time ever incorporating sound with flash and I'm completely lost there lol. I usually use Sony vegas for my editing. So, my question is if the fla. file our only option for exporting or can we send mp4, mov, or something else? If it's flash only I'll try to look up a quick tutorial and go through a crash course on adding sound in flash haha. As for my part, I'm on my last scene so I'll be done very soon. If not tonight definitely tomorrow.

Ah, crap... I just noticed I reached the 2 minute limit. And judging from how much I have left to do in my script my part might be a little longer than 3 minutes. I must have gotten the time limit confused with another collab as I was writing the script. If I continue working on it I'll have it done by the due date though, I'm a fast animator. Do you mind if my part reaches 3 minutes or do I need to compromise?

Edit: False alarm, I just reached 1 minute lmao. I'm not used to working with 24 frames per second so I mistook 1440 frames as 2 minutes when its actually 1 minute. Gah, I'm so slow lol!

Oh! About the voice actors, do you want us to give you their name for the credits or to have them make a newgrounds account for credit. I don't know why I waited until now to bring this up, haha.

The arms on the girl look a little off, I think it may be the top part ( biceps ) being too long. Her elbows should come just above where her belly button should be. The total length I think looks "about" right, just that top part I think.

Ah ok, I'll try adjusting the length of her arm. Thanks for the feedback.

I'll attempt some this time around for fun.

Oh! Yes, the angle of the shadow was facing the wrong way lol. Thanks for pointing that out.

Ah, cool. This last part was taking long than I anticipated, haha. I was going to pull an all-nighter to get it done. I'll still do it even with the extended deadline. I can't wait, I'm almost done with my part.

Response to: The Sketch Collab 2014 Posted August 29th, 2014 in Collaboration

Ok I'm working on the final action scene. The run time seems like it will go over 20 seconds but as much as my last year's entry. 480 frames equals 20 seconds and my entry will go up to 490 frames. If you want me to cut 10 frames away I'll do that before I'm finished with my part.

So yeah, I'll have my part done on August 31st and I'll send you the fla file then.

Oh I export it from Toonboom into a swf file and then I import it into Flash to make a fla file. It seemed to work last year so I'm trying it again. Haha nice it seems you can work well under the pressure of a deadline. I can't wait to see your part.

your doing urs in toonboom? Starting mine now ( in flash) lol

I'm finally breaking out of toonboom (background-wise). I can't even make fully detailed backgrounds without it glitching up on me lol. So yea, I'm using toonboom for animations and photoshop for backgrounds.
