Where do you get the Good Rod again? As of now, I only have an Old Rod, and I'm not having any luck with getting Tentacools with it, nor am I interested in switching out to raise a Magikarp or Tentacool at a low level.

New list, and I'm now at the Lavaridge Gym (actually I'm still training my Pokemon by Mauville):

Sandshrew, level 19 (working on it...)
Swablu, level 17 (also working on it...)
Kirlia, level 24
Numel, level 26
Aron, level 26 (here's your Rock-type)
Grovyle, level 28

Any other suggestions?

Well I'm trying to keep them as even as possible, so that would mean a lot of training for the others. But now I'm at the Mauville Gym with these guys (I think I need more training):

Nincada, level 17
Poochyena, level 17
Makuhita, level 18
Ralts, level 18
Grovyle, level 19
Taillow, level 19

I caught a slew of new Pokemon, which I plan on switching out after the ones I'm using evolve. My goal is to get them all to evolve to whatever their last possible stage is, then I'll just keep using the ones I like until the end of the game.

My friend just gave me his Ruby version the other day (yeah, going back to 3rd generation), don't know why, so I erased his file and made my own. I'm currently in Slateport, before the rival battle, and my team is as follows:

Nincada, level 11
Makuhita, level 12
Poochyena, level 15
Taillow, level 19
Grovyle, level 18
Ralts, level 18

Any suggestions on how to make my team better? Some possible replacements are Aron (10), Wingull (12), Zubat (11), or Nuzleaf (14). I don't like Nuzleaf though, since most of the time Nature Power will turn into Stun Spore (in grass), the only other move he has is Bide, and I'm trying to save TMs (Bullet Seed).

Well it's your choice I guess... But good Lucario players can actually swerve completely around you when you try to hit them in the air.

Stop talking about 'first times'.

Well considering that I've only fought you like two times, there's a "first match" and a "last match".

I sucked horribly back then.
Please note that I got the game 3 months later then you guys did.

When did you get it? I only got my copy on June 14th, which was when school let out for me.

I chose Random, I know that I played repetitive but I was just smashing some buttons =P
Don't judge me when I choose random, rfl.

Who said I'm judging you? You asked for someone who had figured out your attack pattern, so I listed what you did for DK. And what's "rfl" supposed to stand for?

But what if they're not far away enough? What if they still make it back? Or what if the person isn't even an Ike?

Arrows kill characters with bad recovery moves, and will give some extra damage to the ones with good recovery moves.

Not always. Link for instance can just hang onto the ledge with his hookshot/clawshot, and you can't block the grab unless you're hanging onto the ledge yourself. And besides, arrows won't always hit the target.

Pit's a pretty good aerial fighter. He's got 5 jumps and Wings of Icarus, and his aerials have decent priority. It's a lot better to try and kill them by knocking them off the screen than to try and just keep them away.

Tell me 1 person who figured it out.

I figured out your ZSS the first time you used her. Might not know your strategy now, but it's probably similar.

You did the same thing with DK everytime when I was playing you last Friday. Whenever I came close, you would shield or dodge the hit, then do a down smash or forward smash, then move back. If you had a Giant Punch ready, you'd wait for me to run at you, then use it whenever I got within range, or you'd Headbutt me and use the punch. Whenever you died, you'd charge up a Punch, then throw it at me, since you had invincibility. You only switched it up once when you used Hand Slap instead of smashing. That's not a complete summary of everything you did, but that's basically what you were doing after Crink was eliminated.

First of all, I don't think that I'm a spammer.
Yes my playing style is a bit repetitive, and I know that it's annoying to play against(I've pissed alot of people off, half of my friends doesn't wants to play against me).

I don't mind your Pit, but your ZSS is annoying as hell.

I shoot arrows whenever I get the chance to, Pit has a projectile so I should use it.

There's a fine line between the amount of projectiles you should use, and the amount of projectiles that you do use (going by what others are saying here). Personally, I haven't seen you do this to me except in the first match I ever fought against you, but you stopped after I said "STOP SPAMMING".

I roll/spot dodge so much because Pit is a fast character, after a succesfull dodge I can counter easily because Pit's fast.

I'm not seeing the connection here. What does him being a fast character have to do with his success in countering? Most moves don't have a huge amount of ending lag, so your counters might just end up being blocked.

Now about 'the smashes only' thing.
Look at Pit's attacks: Mirror shield, Arrow, Angel Ring and Wings of Icarus. The only things I can attack with is besides smashes(reflecting projectiles doesn't counts) is with an arrow or with Angel Ring.

You can push people off with Wings of Icarus. I've actually killed my friend by doing that. As soon as he got back to the stage, I pushed him off with the small spurt of air from doing Wings of Icarus on the ground, so he did an attack instead of recovering cause he was going to hit me right before. But that was just lucky.

I REALLY don't like Angel Ring, it can get countered easily, so that's why I never use it.

It can't get countered per se, but it's easily avoidable or DI'ed out of. Plus it has long ending lag, so you'll usually get hit if you miss.

So that leaves me with arrows and smashes only, not much variation.

Things called "tilts", the "standard A combo", and "grabs" exist.

And I know that I barely use arial attacks, but I somehow don't like them and I can't use them properly yet.

Pit's a good edge-guarder with his aerials and jumps. His arrows can't solve everything you know.

Also, why would I change my playing style if it works?

Because it's repetitive and easily countered after people figure it out.

Also, to everyone complaining about his Pit: Have him play you with Random. Anyone else he uses from that is pretty good and he doesn't really spam at all.

He's got a decent Snake, but his opponents are horrible. For example, the Ike he was playing in one of his videos shielded for like 3/4 of the match (sometimes for no reason, like when he was on the other side of the stage while Snake was recovering), and used the standard A combo or Eruption the other 1/4 of the time.

I also consider myself the best Brawl player in my entire town, and no, I'm not exaggerating. At least, I know that I'm the best Brawl player in my school. However, my router's broken, so I can't pwnz yall at the mo'.

Best in the entire town and best in the entire school are two completely different things.

Also, this applies to everyone: Have you ever played someone who's said "I'm the best at Brawl" and then you can completely destroy them? My friend does that a lot. He says he's so much better than me, then I go and 8-stock him in a 10-stock match, while he's on a team with his sister (2 vs 1).

"Super" moves are allowed, seeing as there are no rules going against that. And Lucario isn't classified as a Legendary, so he's allowed.

Regarding the date, you just need to schedule a match with someone, but since there's already four people registered. You might need to get someone else to participate for the matches to go smoothly.

Let's take the example of Pit vs Ganondorf. Ganondorf is both slow and has no projectiles. Pit has a very easily controlled projectile. If it's on a large stage, then getting there could be very difficult for Ganondorf, seeing as he's not the most mobile character, and he's got no way to fight back.

If it's a non-projectile spammer though, then yeah, you should have no problem with them.

Unless your playing multiplayer and only one player spams, then that's just annoying.

I personally find this a lot easier to counter. The spammer is usually focused on hitting specific people (going by my experiences, spammers that I play tend to do this), so you can just hit them from afar with projectiles, or you can just run up and hit them when they're occupied with the other person. But this is just what happens to me, you might not be able to do this when you're fighting spammers.

O that's nothing, Now whenever I'm playing weak opponents (like azn), I sometimes hand my controller over to my Dog to finish the fight

Another one of these arguments? Oh well, good entertainment I guess.
