I have been feeling rather old recently after hearing a young child ask if it is possible to take a photo with a film camera, even if there is no film in it, hell it blows my fucking mind to think that kids born in 2000 will be 10 next year, these children wont remember VHS or cassette tapes, they wont remember the internet dial-up tone, soon enough there will be people who don't remember the world before Ipods , cassette players and CD's will just be something they see in old films and in stories their elders tell them.
Not that any of this is necessarily a bad thing though. It just highlights to me how those of us born in the late 80's/early 90's now have a completely distinct generation beneath them
I'm fucking 17 and I'm SO DAMN OLD YOU KIDS DON'T KNOW HOW LUCKY YOU ARE GOD DAMMIT seriously, I have a huge amount of nostalgia for the time when mobile phones where almost unused. I can't wait for the 90's to become retro so we can all dance like girls to 'wannabe'.
I tell you what I want what I really really want.
Anyway, now we all talk like old men about how great the 90's where and how these young 'uns don't know they're born.
Small soldiers is a fucking amazing film..
Early black and white mobile phones were invincible.
The original Imac was the most beautiful thing ever.
N64 motherfucker!
Star wars epidode one was amazing when you saw it as a child and now seems rather rubbish.
There were some letdowns admittedly.
Oh! Also miss dynamite! I forgot about her, yeah she was awesome.
