Decided I should post back in here.
Simple point, two jobs suck, so badly.
Two jobs on the same day likewise.
Four days a week I have to pull a 7 to 3 shift at the grocery store.
Then a 4 to midnight shift at the local British Knockoff Tavern/pub/drunk people give good tips.
Not cool at all.
Oh yes, also finally reading Bertrand Russell's A History of Western Philosophy and have transgressed to St. Augustines City of God, Nietchze's Beyond Good and Evil and Thus Spoke Zarathustra and Beowulf.
Since I work most of the time, my few bits of free time is usually spent reading.

If that's the case, then why wasn't it extended to the captured enemy combatants during World War II?
They did apply it, to people they considered worth the time to do so. Nuremburg Trials for one, and they had the same thing for the Japanese as well. The average soldier or officer wasn't, they were simply sent home.
And the Geneva Convention regulations at that time gave the POW the right to Habeous Corpus if they were to have charges convened against them, otherwise they were being held for the period of the war.
And even still, by YOUR OWN admission, you claimed that the right to habeas corpus ONLY applied to those citizens inside the United States.
Why the hell are you arguing with me, I agreed with you I was just critiquing your evidence for an argument?
So how does this fare with the Supreme Court Ruling? With your own admission, the Supreme Court acted Unconstitutionally in their decision.
No, since they decide what is Constitutional and Unconstitutional, it is impossible for one of thier decesions to be legally unconstitutional. People can claim it isn't what the founding fathers wanted but legally it is impossible for the Supreme Court's decesion to be unconstitutional.
While I disagree with thier ruling, I have no legal office thus my position is in effect worhtless and pointless.

I'm saying that these rights do apply to immigrants, but only lawful, legal immigrants. Not enemy combatants, which history has clearly proven.
Agreed, but your view of the Constitutions right to repeal Habeous Corpus is skewed. The Constitution's mention of repealing Habeous Corpus in times of Emergency for the country is directed towards American Citizens, which is how Lincoln and FDR legally did it in thier respective wars. The internment of the insurgents never had Habeous Corpus repealled, because it was never there. Since they weren't following the rules of the Geneva Convention, they had no legal rights.
This is the reason why I said you shouldn't have mentioned that quote from the Consitution.

Why shouldn't the government make us happier?
Logical Fallacy.
Since each person's views on happiness are different, it is a certian possibility that when you make one person happy, you would be making another person unhappy, thus screwing with the original intent.
A far better option would be to allow the person to have the option to make themselves happy.

The privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it.
You really shouldn't bounce between two ideas for the argument.
Simply stick with one, such as since there not American Citizens they don't have the same rights as we do would work wonders.
Because with this quote, that would imply that foreign insurgents are American citizens (since this quote is from our Constitution and is directed towards our Citizens and not them) and the fact that with the powers of the Supreme Court, they have effectively ruled that public safety no longer requires it.
I suggest for the face of my views on this issue, as well as yours, that you stick with the first argument and not the second one.

You live in the UK, they would tax the cold if they could. Remember, Taxman was written for a reason.
Just picked up a copy of Beowulf from the bargain bin at Barnes and Nobles. The thing about it that I love, it has the original translation of the verses on the left side of the page, and the English on the right.
It's so interesting to see the evolution that we have made in the English language, from this to this and finally what I'm writing in.
It's such an interesting idea, and then I remembered that I also had the same for Chaucerrs Cantebury Tales. While indeed easier to read then Old English, when you first look at it, it scares the crap out of you untill you realize that Chaucers' words are simply phonetical English, as it the spelling is based on the sound.
Poor George Carlin man.
I'm going to have to listen to Seven Words You can Never Say on Television again today.
I'm debating it folks. Really I am.
Should I get Coldplay tickets at the Boston Garden.

my area is very tourist driven, but for the opposite reasons. We have some really beautiful scenery and so hikers and canoeists and kayakers and other outdoor sports enthusiasts flock to our area. Lake Placid is right next to my town and it hosted the winter olympics in 1932 and 1980. The town is always busy year round, but it can get obscene in the summer. and these people are all there to visit the outdoors and do hikes and shit. You can't avoid the scenery even if you wanted to.
I've been to Upstate New York. I spent a couple of summers on a Cabin on Schroon Lake there, and yes we took a look at Lake Placid. Lake Placid would actually be really good, I mean really nice.....if they didn't keep squezzing the Olympics down your throat. We get it, you had the Olympics there twice in the 90 year history of the Olympics.
God, I actually hated Gatlingburg. I was hiking on the Appalachian Trail down there, and the comparisons from that place to complete wilderness for five days is horrifying. It's liked the Tourist Capital of the south, with all the crap in it. It's horrible.
Okay, question What the fuck is {B}?
Second, I played four years at Defensive Tackle, how come I don 't get a thing here?

Meh, I always liked Rugby more.
Whatever anyone here says, paying 450 dollars for a single ticket (my friend bought another one) for the Celtics game last night was so worth it.
I don't care if it was almost half a grand, not at all.
And for Sports,Red Sox Fanatic and Bruins Crazy. I like the Celtics and the Patriots, but I'm defiantly a bigger Sox and Bruins fan.
Why a hole?
Just wondering, why not a trench, or a cliff or a pit?
Oh yes, uhm to bad and wait a day.

We could use thier remains as fertilizer.
It's a win-win situation. The War on Poverty is won, and we appease the Enviromentalists by having a sustainable fertilizer practice.
Yeah, how are you sure she just wasn't a beggar?
I mean, was she wearing Prostitute clothes, was she acting like a Prostitute?

Yes thank you Fuher.
In all respects, this is just a modern repeat of Adolph Hitler Mien Keimpf (aka in English My Struggle)
What I wish to know though is the intent of this "wonderfull thread"
Ridicule, satire or actual belief
Please God no more Graduation parties.
I don't think I can take this anymore.
I woke up yesterday morning with my chin busted and my shirt covered in vomit.
Apparently I kiled off a bottle of Jim Bean White Label....
And some Vodka.
And shotgunned a couple of Buds as well.
I think I'm going to take a break for the rest of summer.
Oh yeah, I graduate Highschool Tommorow.
No drinking though.

You know that those two are connected, right? You can't have both low taxes and a good, "free" school.
Yes because we both know that the schools going get new History textbooks off the Bake Sale. Silly me, it's so simple

Jesus CHRIST.
What a nightmare...
LIke I thought I could understand it and for most of the time I could, but it would require me to reread every line in Scots and pronounce it outloud to get the feel for it.
Ah bugger it, At least I get to go camping all weekend. I'll see you all Monday.
The problem is: Who the hell would replace him.
People seem to forget in Massachusetts, the name Kenneddy brings a mythical reaction to it. Likewise, the fact that guy has continually held his seat in the Massachusetts Senate since 1962 is another. No one has taken a serious attempt to take his seat in years, his last competition was Mitt Romney in 96. People just got used to voting for him.
As a Massachusetts resident, I'm interested in who's going to run for the seat.
Fli, you should do the Spud haircut.
Or maybe Tommy.
But, still I read the book after seeing the movie.
Dear God, that was crasy and hard.
For bits and pieces of the book, he writes it in Scots, as in the way that scottish people actually talk in a written form.
There's a reason that were the only English language with subtitles.
Cool, so in essence just use your sense.
Can do.
And in the interest of good news, Iggy Pop might be touring again.
And if that is true, and much like the people from Trainspotting, I will make sure to be there.
A friend of mine's Uncle recently passed away (yes I was sorry as well), And I got "invited(not sure if thats the right word to use) to the Wake.
It's from 4-8. I have no idea what to do in this situation.
I mean, I said I would go but I don't know how to act, what to where, what time to show up. You know all the ettiquite for this type of thing.
Please, help, anyone.
