for anime its pretty good, you've done alot with shading etc. but I think its a bit lacking in facial expression and pose. shes just standing there, which is rather uninteresting.

it'd be really cool if you drew her sitting on a rock while smirking, because smirking is hard to master, and having her on a rock would be good practise for position and body language.

if they havent already totally piled up, I'd love one, how to describe it though...

totally crazy, something that people will look at in my posts, preferably not blending to the bbs background, that fad ended for me... colorful, and circuslike, in the creepy awesome way, not the lame happy way.

if you can do it, I'd love it, I'd even write ponz is cool somewhere.

good luck! thanks in advance, that is, if you feel like doing it.

test, thirteen year olds actually arent bad. its better to be not amazing when you're thirteen than less amazing when your 17, dont you think? Im thirteen... I dont suck...

Im back everyone! just got home from kingston last night. test object, I can only do scenery if I have the .fla file, because if I just post it here it will have huge rectangular empty space around it, which will block the buildings. I'd really love to do scenery, and thats the only way I can.

awesome, great job with the menu, I'll definitely do more buildings, and I'd love to do some foreground lamp posts or rainclouds or something like that, so let me know, and I'll get started on those right away.

k people, here it is.

test object said I could do something out of dimesions when I asked him, so dont come whining about having to use the 200x400 thing. it works awesomely as it is. the message in this one was that walmart (says sadmart in the picture) tries to look all flashy and inviting while in actuality the rest of the city has to hide away from its gigantic town-consumingness. the green thread/lines coming from the house and buildings are to represent them trying to bring a little more community to the sadmart.

my name is on the second half, the file is too wide to post all at once

hope it works!

Are people giving away co-author like candy these days?

no no no.... I meant that in the most...contradicting -I think thats the right word- way possible. :) I totally agree with you though, last night the dude who made "falling from the sky" was like, omg! no one is portal buddying me back tonight! mad scramble! first eight people to buddy me get the co-author spots!

which was kinda sad. but I worked hard on my part, so Im glad I got it. I agree with you though, collabs should be more meaningful, co-author wise anyway.

dont color it, not because its not worth it, but because you should do a ridiculous amount of awesome pen skill with it, like shade it with crosshatching a fair bit, and then smudge some more shading in other places with a pencil, then use a slightly thicker pen in some areas to show, I dunno, depth and such, and THEN post it back up so we can help decide whether or not you color it. :)

lol, dont make a fuzz about it.

I realized that, I'll update it.

my name is written in short [moro] vertically on some of the windows. its hard to see, which takes less away from the drawing.

Response to: How do you guys do it? Posted May 13th, 2007 in Art

well, if you use the pencil instead of the brush tool, you can write in the little "pencil size" box that you want the line to be 0.25. Then you get it really thin, and since it's the pencil it stays consistent throughout the whole drawing. Personally, I use the brush because I like the way the size varies, but if you want a thin, good line, use the pencil.

Another thing you could do would be to just use a slightly larger brush stroke, and zoom in to 200%. That way it would also stay consistent, and it would look more like a brush stroke.

Hope I've been able to help a bit!

Response to: Question about Drawing Tablets Posted May 10th, 2007 in Art

I've been using a tablet for quite a while now. Im not sure what you mean about the replication of the computer screen, but if you mean that the area of the tablet controls that of the whole screen, then you can change the settings to your please. I personally have it so that the area I can write on with my table controls the whole screen, and not the section of the screen that is the exact size of the tablet. if you set it to the latter, it seems (to me) like you can't do as much detail, but its the artist's choice in the end, and different settings are better for different people.

Tablets ARE really amazing for artistical talents, but they take a little while to get used to, so be prepared to relearn the basics if you do decide to get one.

hope I've helped!
