I actually find this very interesting! I'm going to submit myself to this experience. The longest I've ever went without sleep was roughly two days when I was a very young dude, and I did feel a little out of it, but in a good way. I'm going to go until next Tuesday without sleep. I figure if I die I'm already miserable to begin with so what does it matter?
Well said. Exactly my point.

Not something I'd like to experience again.
I enjoy the bargain hallucinations that come with lack of sleep. Interesting to discover how much your mind can bend.
Could make a killer documentary... Chronicling one person's journey into the depths of their tortured mind.
Congrats on the Mac purchase as well. Enjoy it.
Thank you.
Definitely need Windows installed though?
Hey guys and geezers! Last week a Mac Pro Quad Core computer arrived at my doorstep after months of waiting. I'm studying Film+TV Production in College so I need a powerful computer to work with.
Anyway, I'm a little bit curious about something. Wouldn't it be great if this big great computer that I have would be able to play games on the side? We have a few PC games that were never installed before because we underestimated our specs on our previous computer. Well, I'm fairly sure the specs are high enough this time round, so my question is -
Can you play PC games on a Mac Pro Quad Core?
The game I had in mind was GTA IV and Lost : The Video game. Thanks'.
Come on man, of course I would have tried that. No, it didn't work.
Thanks' anyway.
Hey guys, I'm thinking about making an animation or two after almost two years abstant from it. I've got a general problem with the side window in Flash 8 Professional in that only the colour tab is shown. To my knowledge, there should also be a Library tab, but this is not showing. If I go to Window>Library it shows up in a singular window but how do I incorporate it into the side tab.
Thanks' for the help, Morgan
Oh come on, someone must have an answer?
Happy 2009 Newgrounds; I'm uploading all my old films onto youtube in HD but I'm having trouble with the format. Several of my old films have built-in widescreen black bars on the top and bottom of the frame. What I'm trying to do is erase the bars so it becomes 'true' widescreen because when I upload it onto youtube in HD it automatically stretches the frame.
So, is there any way to crop the frame to erase the black bars? I've used the software 'VidCrop' and I'm not patient enough to photoshop out over 900 individual frames. Thanks.

Good point.
I don't understand some people... Making a "serious" thread on the bbs is crazy; it's just not going to work. Especially when there is a picture of a plank of wood with nails jutting out of it to the left of the post.
Why? What was the purpose?
Skunk fu was in development before Kung Fo Panda - and so what, they're cartoons. Don't like it, go outside and kick a ball.
Well, isn't it about time you start wearing watches?

0.5% of what assholes come up with which is good is used in real life.
I'm watching it now thanks to the magic of the internet! Unfortunally, I don't have the channels. I really hope it's good - I grew up watching the shorts on video at my aunts house.
Watch it here!
Look on the bright side - you still got some awesome presents even if the suprise-aspect is gone. If this reply doesn't cheer you up, three seasons of Monty Python will!

My family keeps arguing. I'd explain what's going on but I don't want to think about it and I don't know where to begin.
Instead of having a nice atmosphere, everyone is just yelling. Well except me but I don't want to sit with my family that's just shouting at each other.
Cheer me up Newgrounds. :(

Does anyone have any advice on what are the best settings for when exporting a flash file (generally for tv. for DVD)?
I can never get the right export (eg. the transparent colours come out as 100%, or the frame rate is changed, or the video is cropped, etc.)
It's damn annoying. Any suggestions?

I think we should receive a flashlight that we can shine into the sky for help.

What?? Its not a flash so why flash forum, its not for newgrounds at all! -so i put in generall forum. Im Making the movie and im just asking for ideas. Jeesh if you dont want to contribute dont say anything simple as that.
Hi, I planned to make a halloween animation about a month ago ( but it didnt work out-flash died on me...) So i wrote a script for a 20minute liveaction movie, which is causing all sorts of troubles. So NOW im trying to make a 5-10min liveaction movie with loads of limitations and im looking for help.
(clears throat)
The movie can have 1-3 people (15yr olds)
The movie must vagely be about Halloween
The movie is set in a town, but their is a nice park...
The movie is down to earth and not Scary or Spooky-So what im saying is its a comady.

My Uncle Jon Kenny-but he's only really known in Ireland.
Thanks guys that did the job.
Im putting all my stopmotion work onto a big bad dvd, but some of the files wernt' saved as a video file and remain as individual frames. So how to i put together frames into an AVI? I used to use the animation wizard in Animation shop pro, but every time i export it, only half the frames are distribuated. What the hell?? Is there another program that i can download that has a low file size?
Yeah, il sure they are all good, but im looking for something that records pretty much perfect sound. I know thats pretty picky, specially where i live but cinema quality you know... And my budget is 100 bucks.
