Response to: Winter Wacom 8 and STUFF Posted December 10th, 2009 in NG News

Hiii! I don't post here often (I used to) but I've always come to Newgrounds everyday since joining to catch up on the awesome things that NG Hosts. Seriously, it's like my friend and his double hatchery zergling rush. A zergling on it's own can't do much but like... fuck when they are all together, they rip the shit out of marine bunker turtle defenses...

... Or maybe I just suck at Starcraft...

Anyways... so what I'm saying is... every flash creator is a zergling, and the bunker is my penis when it's erected when I watch things like the Last of the Dashkin? So thank you NG for being a collective hive Overmind, fighting for the swarm <3

Anyone still looking for an artist? Cuz I'm open for some sexin' :3 I usually do still character art but I also can design gui and animation. I hope I can find others that are into story-based games like RPG's and crap. Ask me for more examples of work (most of my submitted stuff here are old...)

Haha dude, works perfectly! Thanks alot man! :D

Super Quality Sound? Posted September 16th, 2007 in Game Development

I was just wondering if there was a way to make a .swf play the same exact quality that the imported song has. Like you know, if you play the .swf, you'll notice the decline in sound quality.

I have tried almost all the "Properties" in the sound in the library (Bit rate: 160 kbps Quality: best etc.) but the song is still not the same quality. Also, I don't really care on the file size as long as it's all good.

Any ideas?

Wow, awesome dude. Thanks a bunch!

Response to: .swf play music that you assign? Posted August 31st, 2007 in Game Development

Hmmm...actually I have another question to ask you related to my previous one. Okay, say that I have and input textbox with the variable "userMusic" and a button. So what I want to happen is the user puts in a file address (ex. C:\music.mp3) and on that button, it'll play it.

I've tried something like:
Sound1.loadSound(_root.userMusic, true)

but it doesn't work like that. Any idea? And thanx again :D

Dude why are you so smart? Lol thanx alot! Works like a charm :)

Okay so what I want to do is make flash play music on my computer using actionscript and telling it to play a specific address on my computer like "C:\music.mp3". So when I export it as a .swf it will play that file.

Any ideas? Thnx in advance :)

Here's a really small update: http://denvish.net/ulf/250707/41783_Unti tled-1_Anim_2.php

It's only like 5 seconds long but I guess it's better than nothing. I would have gotten more done but I kinda restarted it, my last try didn't flow smoothly. Anyways, I'll probably fix up the first swing too though...it doesn't look right lol

Hey can someone help me out alittle? I'm doing Jin Saotome, from Cyberbots and Marvel vs. Capcom (I can him ^^) but I'm not sure what the symbol on his back looks like HD (the red). Does anyone know what it looks non-pixelated?

Help with coloring... Posted June 16th, 2007 in Art

Everytime I look at deviantart, I feel so jealous on how awesome that stuff is. Like the lighting, contrasts, shadows, everything. I've been trying to keep up by practicing alone but I've been going nowhere with it...I know nothing about coloring.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, or even put me under their wing? I have photoshop cs2 but I'll go buy any other program if anyone strongly recommends it.

This pic is what I've been trying to color:

I thought drawing over things is considered tracing either way :\

Response to: =*Anime Collab II*= Posted June 12th, 2007 in Game Development

My update...I've done some drawing for the face off part. Just sketches. I've also started on the actual battle animation but it's only 1.3 seconds long so I won't show it at the moment :P

Response to: Macromedia or Adobe? Posted June 8th, 2007 in Game Development

I think Macromedia was the original owner/developer of Flash until after Flash 8 which is now why it is called Adobe Flash because Adobe bought Macromedia.

Lol yeah I knew I couldn't do Deathnote, I read the first post. I just wished I could :P But I'll think of what I should do.

Response to: =*Anime Collab II*= Posted June 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

I'm really interested in joining (I really would have wanted to do Deathnote :P) but I'm still unsure whether or not if I'll have alot of free time for it. I'm posting to see if I qualify for a spot so if I do, I can move some things in my schedule.

Yeah, even when you think the lines are all connected, there's a possibility that there are still holes. Try changing the setting of the fill tool to "Close Medium Gaps" under the options of the fill tool.

I'm not sure if this was mentioned or not but when I used the Flash 8 version, it didn't work for me either but I was snooping around the actual movie clip and noticed this on the play button:

on (release) {
_root.play
}

I changed it to "_root.play()" and it works for me now :P

Response to: Pico Day 2007 Posted April 3rd, 2007 in Game Development

I haven't officially announced it but I'm doing a sequel to Pico Sim Date. Some people asked me to make it/update it so I thought this year would be perfect for it. It continues with another weird storyline and newer features like "random decision events" and being able to buy clothes to make Pico look more cooler :P

I'm about 70% done so hopefully I don't get too lazy and miss Pico Day...Anyways, I'm looking forward to your awesome Pico flashes too!
